The theater has been remodeled, and it is so nice.
I enjoyed the movie sponsored by AARP.
It was for Black History month. Wonderful movie.

Nice old school movie theater, the seats were comfortable and you get a lot of leg space.
It said that you could park at the front bank after 6 pm.

This was my first time visiting the Hi-Pointe, and I had a great time. Staff members at the concession stand were friendly, and the greeter was nice and informative. Overall the the theatre was larger than I expected. I did notice, noise from HVAC system during quiet moments of the film (well I'm assuming it was the HVAC system). But these sounds weren't harshly disruptive.

The magic of the cinema - at least on occasion - is when a theater can enhance the film being enjoyed. The Hi-Pointe Theatre achieves that feat perhaps more than any other venue I can recall.
My son and I enjoyed Wes Anderson's "The French Dispatch" this evening, and the Hi-Pointe Theatre made it almost feel as though we were characters in a Wes Anderson film.

Nothing bad to say. Cool, old single screen theater located at the highest point in the city, hence the name. Normally, more independent, hipster films are played here.

The theater reminds me of the theaters of my 90s upbringing with a gentle slope. Not quite as bad as some where a tall person in front of you kills your line of sight. Screen seems huge. Stag for sale at the lobby shop.

Only annoying thing is that if you buy your tickets online you still have to have it printed at the box office.

Awesome theaters with retro vibe. Run by the coolest family. Best popcorn in town, they use real butter!! Concession stands at both theaters but if you arrive early, go to the backlot before your screening for beer, wine & cocktails. Will definitely be back next time we are in St. Louis!

Really cool family owned theater. They operate both the main auditorium and the smaller theater in the back lot. Great pictures throughout the theater of the family and the history of the building. The staff/owners and super welcoming and very nice. You can tell they take pride in their business. All around terrific experience. Will definitely check out the showings the next time I'm in town.

This is such an awesome retro theater! The staff are all so friendly and kind. They have standard movie theater fare of popcorn, boxes of candy (M&Ms, Swedish Fish, Raisinettes, Crunch, Sour Patch Kids, Red Vines, and more), fountain soda, and bottled water. They even offer chilled Junior Mints! They serve some ice cream and have applied for their liquor license. The lobby and theater are tastefully decorated and has raked seating. The primary restrooms are up a flight of stairs but they do have an accessible restroom on the first floor as well as a ramp to get inside. Thanks for hosting the NY Cat Film Festival!

Gorgeous and clean cinema hall with ample seating. Movie lineup is great and Cinema St Louis, the organization that runs the space is dedicated to showcasing independent cinema. A good place for movie lovers to watch films and meet like minded people with similar interests. Membership available on their website.

My first time here. It's basically a relatively large single screen theater. The popcorn was pretty good. I think they use real butter, which made it taste odd until you realize that that is what buttered popcorn is supposed to taste like. I like that they play movies you wouldn't get to see at the big chain theaters.

Love this theater! Great old decor, cheap matinees, & a nice big screen. Please don’t ever modernize! ☺

Visited the Hi-Pointe for the first time in a few years to see a film festival by its new owner, Cinema St. Louis. It appears well loved, the facility is clean, the concessions tasty. Looking forward to having a second-run theater nearby.

Such a great place! We just saw it driving by and decided to order tickets. The inside has a great retro look, but the video and sound quality was excellent! Concession stand is very reasonable also with good popcorn.🍿

It’s a really fun theatre in the old style with a big screen and lots of seating. So glad it’s still open. The popcorn was fresh and delicious! The movie was a recent Oscar winner. Attendance was up which also makes it fun. We will definitely be regulars.
