Safeway

This is one of the best Safeways I have been to and I have visited many. They have a huge selection of grocery items and pretty much every brand your looking for. Fresh seafood, meats, fruits and vegetables can be found here and all are great quality. They have a nice deli counter and the bakery is awesome. There is a cafe area for sitting if you want to eat your meal right there. There is a Pharmacy located at the rear of the store and has great hours. You can accumulate safeway fuel discounts to use at the gas station located on the other side of the parking lot. Need flowers...yes the have plenty and usually a florist there to help you out for those special occasions. If you havent been there, I recommend you stop in and check them out.

Well stocked, fresh and variety of items. Very clean and well lit. Fast and friendly customer sevice. Quick and timely DriveUp and Go service.

Today, I had the pleasure of speaking with Brian, the manager of our local Safeway in Chester MD. I brought a recent concern to his attention ... he listened, satisfactorily resolved our concern ~ displaying true customer service!

Found all the groceries I needed... Easy to find parking too...

This Safeway location had the Moderna bivalent vaccine in stock. The online appointment scheduling process was well-organized and super easy to navigate. The Staff at the Pharmacy was very welcoming and provided excellent customer service. The entire process was quick and easy. Highly recommend this Pharmacy for any vaccination related services.

Since there is a new manager at the Chester Safeway store I have noticed a big change. The story is cleaner and the atmosphere is cleaner I believe the employees. I know I am much happier shopping there.

They always have the freshest, supermarket produce in the area.

Staff are always helpful and very friendly.

I go here often for Instacart. Never had bad service, Bre the young lady on the cashier is awesome and understanding to gig workers. The front end manager always seems to be full of positive energy

Best selection for the best price. $80 a week is all I spend for a vegan low sodium diet. If your complaint is "Prices are too high".. Then you seriously need to ask customer service for a Safeway Club Card and take advantage of the great deals and savings. This is one of the nicest stores I've been to. I love the fresh fruit containers of cut watermelon, pineapple with kiwi, and strawberries with kiwi. This is a summer staple for my family. The store was clean and well stocked. I felt very comfortable shopping there, in spite of the pandemic. Safeway appeared to have followed CDC guidelines quite carefully and successfully.

Very clean and organized store. The staff were beyond helpful. Service came along with a smile. They offer a wide variety of goods. I don't regularly shop here because it is not close to home. But have always got what I needed when I have visited. Prices are fair with good deals.

I trace 25 min just to go to this Safeway. I have an acme and a food lion within 5 min of me but this place never lets me down. Wonderful staff, great produce and meats and it’s clean! I’ve been using their drive up and go option for my last three trips and I highly recommend it. I’m in and out of the parking lot in 10 min which is huge since I have three little kids that I dread taking into grocery stores for a big haul. And the girls who have been loading my groceries are so accommodating and could not be nicer.

I called before coming in late at night, within an hour of closing and the woman I spoke to through customer service to check product availability was Great, and the drinks she checked on for me were right where she said they would be. Great customer service all around

Clean store and helpful customer service. I can usually always find a staff member to help me with something, even on the busiest days. Sometimes the self checkout gets congested but theres always someone running around like a headless chicken doing their best to ensure everything is taken care of in a timely manner.

It's not too often that I go into the store and have a great experience but going into the deli for the first time and was assisted buy a girl named Katie who I later learned is new and she was very helpful, courteous, willing to dedicate time when explaining about the lunch meat and cheeses that they have . Also , Amazing cake bakers. Always clean and helpful staff. Shoppers on the other hand seem stuck up and rude. But back to the bakery, they make the BEST DAMN CAKES! My wedding cake was amazing and delicious!! And only $45 bucks! We order every cake from this place. Even personalized cakes with family pictures airbrushed on.

Clean store and friendly staff. We stopped a borough a cake for my daughter's graduation dinner. We were from out of town and everyone from the bakery staff to the cashier were welcoming and helpful.

The prices are high at safeway ,but they carry all the namebrads I love. And if it's too high, they offer a generic version most of the time. The app and member card really help with finding deals and savings. also enjoy that I get discounts in my gas for shopping there. Not a bad place to shop at all .

It's a great place to grocery shop or just stop in to grab a coffee or something quick to eat. They got a fresh salad bar and a deli where you can order subs and sandwiches from. The employees are always helpful and resourceful too.

I agree that this may not be the most price-competitive store on Kent Island - and/or the Eastern Shore; however, the key to my satisfaction is in providing a great selection of quality products. If you find it 'too big' and the 'lines too long', then you can always drive across the bridge - and wait in longer lines in bigger stores trying to find what you're looking for. The staff is friendly and very accommodating. And, IMO, the comment(s) complaining about an up-front 'odor' is really a reach!
