Southern Roots Dental of Louisiana

I’ve been a patient of this stellar practice for a couple years. As a disabled veteran, dental options outside of Shreveport are limited, but Dr’s Simpson & Gregory opted to provide veteran services. From day one, every time I’ve walked into the clinic, the entire staff has been welcoming. Never a dismissive remark; on the contrary, there were many times anxiety or other factors interfered with my making an appointment, and their response was one of upstanding and empathy.
Oh, and I forgot….they do exceptional dental work with an emphasis on patient comfort. And no, I wasn’t paid to write this. I’m just a satisfied patient of Southern Roots.

I am new to the state, and I had to find a new dentist in the area. I researched quite a bit and made numerous phone calls. Nobody seemed interested in doing business with me in Ruston. But then I found Southern Roots in Monroe and found exactly what I was looking for!

I got there early to my appointment and saw the sign that said they were out to lunch for another 30 minutes, and they still unlocked the door so that I could start filling out my paperwork, I thought that was great.

On the paperwork it asked what I look for in a dentist office and I answered honestly, "Just be friendly and informative." Because it keeps me calm when I have everything explained to me so that I know what's going on.

Well, they provided just that. Carmen was super nice like I had been a patient there for years and went over all the films and problem areas I had and what to expect when the dentist came in to go over everything.

My dentist, Dr Gregory, was just as friendly and talked me through an awesome treatment plan. It was all broken down to me in ways that I could understand, and I didn't feel any pressure to up-spend on expensive procedures that I wasn't comfortable with yet.

Sharon in reception broke down the financials and insurance for me in a way that I could schedule my dental treatment in my time without feeling like I have to get anxiety about any of it.

All in all, everyone was very thorough, the office is very clean, and I was very happy with the choice I made to pick Southern Root Dental so far.

My son is scared of going to the dentist and struggled with the experience but everyone at Southern Roots worked with him wonderfully. They were so kind and patient, and by the time we left he let me know next time he does not think he will be as scared. I cannot recommend them enough if you have a kiddo (and they were pretty awesome and thorough with my exam, too). They're literally the sweetest staff ❤

When my son aged out of his pediatric dentist we were given a few names to try for his continued care. Southern Roots was one of them. We called and discussed his situation of having White Coat Syndrome and severe anxiety in relation to dentists. He had made great progress but still had issues in that area. They were more than accommodating and even took on myself and his sister as patients. They are truly an amazing group and can't recommend them enough!!

I've never had a better dental experience than at this place! all of the staff are SUPER friendly and kind. I was embarrassed about not having been to the dentist in quite a long time and they took the time make sure I felt at ease every step of the way! Dr. Julie is AMAZING and I especially love getting to chat with all the great staff, Moira and Jana are both a HOOT and Tuyet can answer ANY question you may have about insurance. 10/10 would recommend to anyone I know!

The staff made me feel very comfortable considering it had been a while since I got a tooth pulled and being at the dentist makes me nervous. Dr. Sarah Gregory was really nice and patient with me, she explained everything to me; and once it was time to get my tooth extracted my appointment was made right away and she was really quick . I am so happy I found them. Thank you so much I have a new dentist family, you guys are so awesome.

Had a terrible abscess and had been in pain for days. Finally had enough around 11 am and called to see about an appointment. I got in at 3:30. I ended up having an extraction due to complications from previous work done on the tooth. It was not an easy procedure for me or Dr. Gregory, but it is done and I'm not in pain. What impressed me most was the upbeat crew that works here and how understanding they were, especially with me not at my best. They were concerned and caring. I appreciate them, very much!

The ladies here were wonderful! I had a very pleasant experience and would recommend them to everyone. Dr. Hummel-Gregory was awesome and did a great job on my teeth. The office atmosphere is clean and modern with some Southern charm! No complaints here. I'm glad to have found a new dental office.

By far the best dental experience I've had. I showed at 930am with extreme pain in a tooth. They gave me two options root canal or extraction. I went with root canal and was out of there by 130. They are extremely nice and professional making sure you as a patient are comfortable. It's now 850 on the same day and I have absolutely zero pain. Thanks again

Love this dentist office. These women are so great and make you feel very comfortable which is saying a lot for anyone sitting in a dentist chair! Highly recommend Southern Roots Dental!!

Friendly staff, amenities, clean waiting room and restroom, and of course some of the best trained dental hygienists and knowing doctors. Would recommend to anyone- for adults or children!
