The River Shack

Awesome birthday lunch with my husband. Clams were amazing. Husband said the the oysters tasted very good. Fried fish was tasty and had a good season. Server was quick, friendly, and attentive.

The Rivershack is a great place for casual dining and is Dog Friendly! 🐕 The outside seating area has picnic tables under tents for a shaded dining area in the sand. They have childrens toys for sand fun and also a children's menu. They often have weekend music playing outside. There is also dining and an inside bar for those who prefer the A/C. Rivershack is seasonal and will be closed in the Fall and Winter months. They are well known for their Fried Chicken, however, their AUCE Crabs and Chicken is popular along with the Fish & Shrimp Tacos!

Wonderful cute little restaurant, all you can eat crabs,fried chicken, hush puppies, corn and French fries. I would highly recommend this cute place too everyone it is so good Marylands little secret

Small space, but BIG variety on their menu.
You are able to sit outside, which is nice.
Their alligator tacos were amazing. Tasty and tender - and they really give you a LOT of the alligator meat.
Their waffle fries are seasoned and fresh. Drinks were delicious.

We would gladly go back again. Such a big menu to try. 👍😉

We got the fried chicken for take-out. It's quite delicious, and not overly salty as many other places make it. The take-out staff was friendly as were the others waiting in line - great to strike up a conversation. The chicken was great even the second day. Call ahead for your order. We will be going back again.

The food was amazing, we had the crabs, shrimp tacos, chicken wings and fries. The staff was nice, the place was clean and gives a beach feel with the sand. I will return before summer is out. All you can eat is worth it but all the crabs wasn't meaty, some didn't have anything in them.

We had an AMAZING experience here! All you can eat crabs was really all you can eat! Unlike other places, the staff kept bringing us trays of fresh and hot crabs quickly. Prices were great, we will definitely be back!

P.S. Don't sleep on the sweet tea!

Great food and ambience. My wife and I had the gator bites which was great and the dripping sauce for it was amazing. We then had the all you can eat crabs. Warning though, the price per person isn't labeled on the menu which was ~$60/person for those who are curious on the price. There's also a 20% gratuity specifically for the all you can eat, meaning set aside some extra money separately when you go and tip/gratuity your server.

Really good food. Such a beachy atmosphere. The staff was very attentive. We played corn hole on our way out 😃. Definitely worth trying, if you haven't already.

We love it here, sandy beach vibe restaurant. You can’t quite see the water from the restaurant but you can take a stroll along the water while you wait for a table. There are sand toys available for the kids and the crabs are delicious!!
OR you can also hang out at the turf area with picnic tables and yard games and do a takeout order of food and alcohol in this designated area by the parking lot.

We come to the river shack when a hankering for crabs hits us. All you can eat Maryland blue crabs for a reasonable price. The fried chicken is also awesome. Live music in the late afternoon, outside seating like at the beach or you can be inside. Either way, we keep coming back.

We had the yummiest dinner and the service was AMAZING! It was the perfect way to celebrate July 4th weekend!

Delicious soup, get the 1/2 & 1/2 (half MD crab, half Cream of crab)!!! Good drinks, awesome staff and quick service. Ordered a chicken cheesesteak made with their popular fried chicken, a lot of bread but tasty. Will definitely be back. A resort of restaurants if you will, out back of the Wellwood. Looks like a great place for a party!!

This is a great local place with a huge menu. Lots of live entertainment during the season. Will come back and will bring out of town friends.

Great boating destination.

Fresh food and great ambience. Will definitely be back for the blue crab which were seasoned well and steamed to order. Wings and fries were also good. We sat outdoors beneath a large tent on a large picnic table. Service was A+.

The all you can eat crabs were amazing! Also comes with hush puppies, fries, corn in the Cobb and fried chicken. The set up in the back were picnic tables in the sand which had a beach feel with music. We also really enjoyed the bar up front looking out at the water. Well worth the drive from Philly

Our waitress Aubree was totally awesome, patient and joyful! Our party of 16 was easily accommodated. The 900.00 we spent was well worth it. Our Los Angeles family was in love with their visit! Totally recommend!!

My favorite place for all you can eat steamed crabs. Always a great time relaxing and picking crabs, and enjoying the fried chicken, fries, hush puppies and corn on the cob. Picnic tables, your feet in the sand and a beer or a mixed drink or two, great way to unwind after a long work week! Crabs are good and full and all the fixins are always tasty. Go check it out, you’ll be glad you did!
