OO Bakes Gluten Free Bakery

I planned to order the white round GF cake for my son’s wedding (so I’d be able to have cake at the reception.) I am from out of state, and I asked how far she was from the venue. She offered to deliver the cake for me because she knew I’d be decorating the venue that morning. Hilary even made it a tiered cake that could be decorated to look the part for a wedding! I threw on some extra flowers similar to those used to decorate the venue and a cake topper. It looked so good the happy couple used it for the cake cutting photo. Bonus: Many guest were excited about the cake saying they never get cake at a wedding because they require GF too.
The cake was such a special addition and I appreciate Hilary immensely. Also, it was insanely inexpensive. It would have cost triple (at least) where I live.

Run, don’t walk, to Hyvee or Checkers and buy OO’s dinner rolls. They are simply OUTSTANDING. I have never been crazy about frozen gf foods, but I figured the quality would be better from a local company. I wasn’t disappointed, and these rolls (and I’m sure other products) will be in regular rotation in my house. Thank you, OO Bakes!

These products are some of the very best gluten free treats I’ve ever had in Lawrence. I’ve been a loyal customer to OO Bakes for several years now, and I’ve truly been impressed with every new thing that I try from them. The cookies, muffins, and brownies are all amazing and you wouldn’t even know they’re gluten/dairy free!

I’ll admit- the products are a little bit on the expensive side (especially compared to normal bakery items), but OO Bakes is worth every penny in my opinion. The bakers clearly put a lot of effort and care into their craft, and everything on display is fresh and portion sizes are excellent.

Located inside of Checkers, near the frozen food section (they used to be in the back corner near the other bakery items). There’s a lot of other good gluten free options in the freezer next to the OO Bakes products.

OO Bakes is a gluten free, with testing, bakery that has some items egg or other allergen free as well. I had to quit gluten years ago due to joint pain, so I hadn't had a chocolate donut in years... until now! Their cinnamon roll means I can once again have the classic Kansas dinner of chili and cinnamon rolls. A friend with Celiac and I are going to get donuts again soon!

The cake and cookies I ordered for my daughter's birthday looked a little goofy but you could still recognize the characters (bearing in mind how detailed and complicated the characters were, it was impressive nonetheless), and they tasted wonderful! I had to have them made without gluten, dairy, soy, or coconut and not only was Hilary able to figure out a way to achieve that so everyone could eat the same treats, she did it in a way that tasted like a regular cake which I've never experienced with a gluten free cake before.

I 100% will be buying cake here for my son's birthday in the winter! Thank you!

I have a health condition that causes me to need to eat gluten-free. I found this bakery about two years ago at checkers and soon after my husband ordered a gluten-free lemon cake for me for my birthday. I have always had excellent customer service and the baked goods are yummy. I usually go to checkers to buy them. I’m very happy to have a gluten-free option in Lawrence. There are not very many bakeries like this one around.

My family loves OO bakes we have tried their cupcakes and enjoy them every time! Hilary and her team are super nice and professional. If you’re looking for gluten free bakes make sure to grab some from OO Bakes.

I have gotten food from OO Bakes sooo many times! I have had to be gluten free for 6 years now, was dairy free for 5, so have tried a lot of places, a lot of different gf foods. OO Bakes has been the best gluten-free bakery I’ve ever gotten baked goods from, specifically because they are careful to use healthier ingredients, AND everything I’ve had tastes, personally, even better than the junk filled stuff. Like seriously? I never would have guessed that brownies THAT gooey & delicious could be gluten free, but they are! I also love that they have dairy free & soy free options too since my youngest daughter can’t have gluten, dairy, or soy. My daughter & I especially LOVE the pizzas too. Even dairy free they are AMAZING!!! That & their owner is a sweetheart & often hands out free mini cookies to my kids anytime we go by the store. Just a heart to make people happy with the amazing work she does.

Due to health conditions my meal plan is grain free! And 00Bakes makes the best treats that I can eat without side effects!! LOVE what Hilary has contributed to our community over the past 3 decades! Too much to list here! But there are few places to get the quality and flavor she puts into gluten free (and she can do dairy free too!).

I love the variety of offerings at OO Bakes, especially their yummy gluten free cinnamon rolls! Being able to buy treats that don’t mess with my stlmach has made my life more fun. They have such a diverse selection of baked goods, including bread, rolls, cake, and even naan bread (Indian food lovers rejoice!!).
Even beyond the amazing food, I love Hilary. She works hard and loves harder. Her heart is huge.

Love OO Bakery business! The owner is super sweet and down to earth. All of her treats are Top-notch! Also supports all your local health freedoms!! I’m so glad there are business like her standing up for what’s right! And not backing down! Will be spending my money at her business in the future!

OO Bakes is AMAZING!! Their cinnamon rolls are to die for! And their custom work is outstanding (I had Hamilton-themed cookies for my birthday!) If you have food allergies, this is the place to buy your baked goods as all of their products are free of eggs, dairy, nuts, and soy.

I can have gluten but my wife cannot. I've had some of the gluten free sweets she brings home and their OK at best. OO Bakes is literally BETTER than the gluten stuff. ALL OO Bakes stuff is outstanding and I would eat it over stuff with gluten.

I was thrilled to discover OO bakes after finding out my husband and daughter were gluten intolerant. Everything is so delicious and Hilary is wonderful to work with for small and large orders. OO bakes is truly a bright spot in Lawrence, KS!

Our family loves all of OO Bakes products, everything from cookies and cake pops to buns and pizza crust. We choose a gluten, dairy and soy free diet primarily because of our son's sensitivities and OO Bakes is the BEST we've encountered!

Gluten free can unfortunately be mundane and bland, but not OO Bakes!!!!!! Beautiful food that tastes as good as it looks! Owner is a lovely woman who pours her heart and soul into every dish! Highly recommend!!!!

OO Bakes has provided yummy gluten free food for several events with which I’ve been involved and I have purchased their products (especially the amazing GF cinnamon rolls) for personal consumption. Our guests with special dietary needs are so thankful to be considered and always rave about the food.

Great baked goods. GF makes it hard to do baked goods, but this place has figured it out! Of course GF will never be the same as flour baked goods, but this hits the spot. Sad to see the many negative reviews from the LAST 24 hours that have nothing to do with the baked goods, but are attacking this bakery based on their desire to support health freedom and personal choice. 19 bad reviews in the last day should make you question their motive.

Don't be fooled - this is worth the trip and $ for good food!

LOVE this company!!! They really understand the importance of quality and attention to detail -- and are filling an important niche for those with special dietary needs. They are also ethical, good citizens who support the local community and are not afraid to speak up on matters of great importance to everyone's well-being and justice -- even as bullies influenced by propaganda from billionaire philanthrocapitalists (that just happens to have facilitated the greatest upward transfer of wealth ever) try to silence them for speaking truth to power.
