Nice park does have a kids play area and a tennis and basketball court

One of our favorite parks! Has four basketball goals on a court, a full-size tennis court, beautiful history to the park if you take time to read the sign, located in the historic neighborhood plenty of room for the children to walk around and play. Pathways of beautiful flowers, water fountain in park bench. The surrounding neighborhood is gorgeous, the original oread house is within view of the park as worded on the plaque. We absolutely love Veterans Park!

Very nice park. Lots of green open space, and right across the street from South Park, which is also large open and nice. Great area for picnics, Frisbee games, and such. Plus when you're done at the park, you're walking distance from all the shops and restaurants on Mass St.

Small park but the climbing rope is a lot of fun for the kids. No bathroom area and there is generally a man laying down sleeping on the bench but it doesn’t bother us.

This is a small park with tennis courts, basketball hoops, playground equipment, and flower gardens. It is well lit, and has a small parking area. I like to park here and then hike up to the University of Kansas campus.

A perfect balance of paved paths open grass and rec equipment. This under utilized park is nessled between two schools and dense residential on a very busy street. Plenty of parking and good equipment for kids.

This is a cozy little park with well established trees, a playground, and basketball and tennis courts. I like to grab dinner and sit and eat here because it is so pleasant and shady.

Great place to enjoy a picnic lunch. There are a few swings and other playground equipment.

Love the swings. The plaques explain that Basketball's founder lived nearby. Very well maintained.

Great location near Lawrence High School. Peaceful, sound environment for a relaxing walk/picnic.

I'm walking distance here from my apartment so it's nice. Though I always see a homeless man who sleeps there.

3 pok'emon stops and a pok'emon gym nice ball court with 2 tennis courts on nice day it's a pretty popular place.

Great park! Well kept and fairly well surfaced tennis courts!

We love this park its so close to the house and a nice place for the kids to play.

Great place to practice your serve, well covered by the trees, not too much sunlight exposure.

My Favorite Park for relaxation in Lawrence... So peaceful.
