Neurologic Consultants- Dr. Mandeep Garewal, MD

I have been fortune to be a patient of Dr. Garewal for the past 4 years. I have always been treated with professionalism and respect by him and the entire office staff. Jessica, in particular, always goes the extra mile to handle any concerns I might have, and so well deserved kudos to her. I definitely think the doctor is knowledgeable, kind, patient, calm and very understanding. I recommend Dr. Garewal and his staff.

If you only have time to read one sentence of this review, here it is...my mom has her life back thanks to Dr. Garewal (and Dr. Yahya which I wrote a separate review for).

My mom started having multiple symptoms that increasingly got worse over time. We went from ER visits to specialists trying to determine the root of the issue. Each specialist would recommend a different specialist. It got to the point where my mom started having panic attacks due to not knowing what was going on. We had even seen a neurologist in a different city that told us that there was nothing neurologically wrong. We ended up getting referred to Dr. Yahya to help with my mom's anxiety. Dr. Yahya is an amazing Psychiatrist that work's closely with Dr. Garewal (they are married). While she was listening to my mom talk about her symptoms, she mentioned that her husband was a neurologist and that, if we gave her permission, she would talk to him and get his thoughts on my mom's symptoms. In the meantime, my mom was meeting with a neurosurgeon to discuss possible stenosis in her neck (because by this point we were seeing all kinds of specialists just trying to find the root cause of her symptoms). The neurosurgeon told her that the stenosis was a possible cause but that he wanted her to see a great neurologist that he knew of just to get a second opinion. This happened to be Dr. Garewal. It was like the universe was telling us we should have been seeing him the whole time.
Once we started seeing Dr. Garewal, everything changed for my mom. Within a couple of weeks of his diagnosis and treatment, she started noticing slight improvements in her symptoms. It has been over a year now and she is so much better than she was. She of course has some better days than others as that is just part of the disease but her overall quality of life is just completely turned around from where it was a year ago.
I try not to look in the past too much but I cant help imagine sometimes how much suffering my mom could have avoided if we had found Dr. Garewal when her symptoms first started. If you need a neurologist for yourself or a loved one, even if you just think that there might be something neurologically wrong but don't know for sure, I cant recommend enough that you talk to Dr. Garewal. He is caring and knowledgeable and is the reason my mother is active and enjoys life again. I can't thank both Dr. Garewal and Dr. Yahya enough.

As a nurse, I have knowledge of many Neurologists in the Daytona Beach area. When I met Dr. Garewal I knew he was a God send for my mother. He is our doctor of 3 generations and is remarkable in his field. I would give him 10 stars if I could. If you want an accurate diagnosis and correct treatment from a caring kind Neurologist you dont have to look farther than Dr. Garewal.

Dr. Garewal is a fantastic Neurologist! His consultative approach is appreciated and gives the patient a sense of comfortability, in what can otherwise be a stressful environment. I have suffered from vasovagal syncope in the past and Dr. Garewal's bedside manner prevented an episode during my appointment. In addition to his outstanding care, his office operates very efficiently and is respectful of your time. My test results were sent to the referring physician within hours of my appointment, which allowed them to quickly address my needs. Thank you, Dr. Garewal!

Love Dr. Garewal. He is compassionate and has great bedside manner. Getting through to office via phone is my only gripe but guess that happens with great physicians.

From the office staff to testing this office was wonderful! Dr Garewal was great,I as very anxious going in and for nothing he made me feel right at ease! If ever in need for myself,family and friends will refer Dr Garewal!!

Where as all the orthopedic doctors and neurosurgeons I have seen in the last seven years who all said the same thing that there will be no improvement in my arms, which suffer from nerve degeneration and muscle atrophy. Dr Garewal took a different approach. He suggested that I undergo some intense therapy. He made me a referral and with my visit today was amazed by the progress that I have made. I am able today to do things that I thought were possible five months ago. I want to thank Dr Garewal from the bottom of my heart and recommend folks that have nerve degeneration problems to see him. I'm sure he will help you find a solution.

Jessica and Dr Garewal are the best, i can not tell you how much they have helped me, Jessica went above and beyond to make sure my portal was handled and all my medications when i have issues. He is a busy doctor because he is good i would suggest him to anyone. Joanna is wonderful as well and extremely helpful and resourceful

I cannot say enough about not only the professionalism of this doctor and his staff, but a genuine concern for the patients and a sense of urgency that is unparalleled with any other practice we have ever encountered.
Jessica recently responded to a concern about insurance coverage is literally within half an hour. She took what could’ve been a life-threatening and detrimental situation and corrected it seamlessly and effortlessly.
