UF Health Family Medicine - Amelia Island

Wonderful staff! Alyssa took great care of me and was a pleasure to see. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for exceptional care and skilled service.

I love UF Health Family Medicine, Sorcha is wonderful and takes time to listen to your questions/concerns. All other staff are so friendly and always on time. I also love that it’s convenient and centrally located on Amelia Island.

Amazing front staff; quickly seen despite being late for my appointment. Doctor’s listened carefully to my concerns and gave great care. Would highly recommend to anyone in the area :)

I see Sorcha McCarthy and she is very thorough and knowledgeable and I always feel comfortable talking to her. She's the best!

This office used to be good, easy to call in and reach a front desk person. Not anymore! Call goes to central office in Jax and they never answer the phone. I refuse to wait on hold longer than 10min. I am switching do Doctors next year.

Don’t do it, go elsewhere.
Lucia will order unnecessary tests ($$$) and insist on unnecessary appointments ($$$) Bedside manner is not welcoming/friendly or comfortable.

Not worth it anymore given all the other locations. Input in the self check in that I needed to speak to someone about insurance. The receptionist never checked or called me up, just scrolled through her phone on the desk. I had to approach her just to be turned away over miscommunication. Along with this, she never attempted to check notes on the miscommunication with my appointment, just brushed it off and sent me away. This office is just unprofessional compared to other UF health locations.

Horrible, they have my test results and keep saying providers are too busy so they call to reschedule my appointments. No one can read my results. They say providers are on vacation or have other obligations and for some reason I keep being put off and this has been going on since October 2022. I had an appointment tomorrow once again and they just called me to say one provider is on vacation, the provider I have schedule has surgeries tomorrow and can't see me, and there's one provider that will be available but they are overwhelmed.

The front office staff and medical assistant were lovely. I would avoid seeing Lucia Lintner APRN as she would not let me even finish explaining why I was there before she cut me off more than 3x. Lucia, if you cannot enter an exam room with a new patient while having an open mind, please change your profession. It takes a lot of guts to go out and seek help for mental health only to be totally dismissed. Would not recommend this entitled woman to anyone. She assumed she knew more about me and my body than I did after speaking to me for less than 5 minutes.

terrible service, cant get a refill of bp meds without seeing doctor seems all they care about is $$. its a giant sack of bull____!!!! If you do call to tell them you are almost out of meds they will not contact you. Do not use if you can avoid them. Terrible, I will advise anyone i can to avoid these people

Doctors are great, but I have had so many issues with billing, it’s ridiculous. I was charged for a physical blood draw (which should not have been charged) and have been trying to resolve the issue since December. It’s now March. 👎🏼👎🏼

Dr does not listen to what you say about meds she prescribed that you're on and bad reactions to them. Doesn't care. You feel like such an inconvenience to her. I won't be back.
