Miami Lakes Hotel

Lovely hotel that we stayed in before our cruise. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was nice and comfortable, especially with the air con going at full blast when we got there. Would recommend.

While on a business trip, my wife decided to join me for a romantic rendezvous at the Miami Lakes Hotel. At the Front Desk we were warmly greeted by Nelson who immediately made us feel like we were royalty. Nelson displayed all the courtesy and class someone might witness in a Hollywood movie. So much so, that.later I regretted not having captured this moment on film. With all his Latin charm, Nelson made my wife feel like a Queen. THANK YOU!

I really liked staying here. Very convenient to everything in the area. The room was clean and maintained daily. The pool and outside area is really nice. There is plenty of parking. Access to the athletic club came with the room, really nice.

We have been coming to Miami since 1981 for the dolphin games. We stayed at Miami lakes hotel for the first time and had a great time. The rooms were excellent. The staff was very friendly and did a great job making our stay enjoyable. Great restaurants and shops walking distance from your room. It doesn't matter if it's your first time to Miami or you're 41st time to Miami can't go wrong staying at Miami lakes hotel.

Great place to stay and a great price! Very friendly and accommodating staff even though it was Christmas and they had to work. The area around the motel was nice as well and Christmas decorations were beautiful!

Tile wood floors is a bit strange for a hotel room in my opinion. I guess they’re easier to tell if they’re clean. The room had all the expected amenities, was clean and quiet.

- the staff, specifically Enrique, have been exceptionally well trained when we arrived at the hotel after a long day of flight delays. Going above and beyond during our short stay
- the room is quiet and with good air conditioning. The room was found in good condition and spacious

Places is great, old fashion but on great conditions

Hotel is pretty nice. The rooms are big and comfortable with effective air con. The bathroom smelt a little damp but it was clean and the water was hot. It feels like an 1980s hotel that’s been partially updated.

The outside area is really nice, the hotel’s best feature.

The Miami Lakes area feels safe with plenty of restaurants and other amenities.

The accommodation was part of a booking with Princess Cruises. If you are booked to stay here, I would say it’s a good place to stay.

I'm a repeat customer and it's always been very clean. Beds are comfy, bathrooms are clean, fully supplied, coffee in room, mini fridge too.

Nice Rooms, Access to Athletic Club, Golf Course nearby, Restaurants, Bars around

Everything about this hotel was excellent for me. I looked at some of the reviews some people gave and it was discouraging to the point I almost canceled. Thank God I didn't and came to this beautiful place, everything is nice and convenient. I saved money staying here and they could easily charge more money and it would be justifiable. Totally satisfied and happy 😊

Caroline made the stay. Her willingness to go above and beyond was admirable. Our reservation was missing from the third-party vendor. She made the day by rectifying the reservation issue when the third-party vendor could not. It is people like this that will make me remember this spot...Great JOB!

The hotel stay was for my niece who was coming from a cruise celebrating her anniversary. I was very impressed with check in personnel, she congratulated my nice for her anniversary and gave us all info on hotel parking, etc. As I helped with the luggage, room was clean and very nice. Nice view of the pool area. Hotel located on Main St which has restaurants and some stores, as well as a movie theater all within walking distance. This was a perfect location for someone coming in from out of town. Pricing is good and will definitely consider on next time having family in town. Thanks MLH team.

Highly recommend! Absolutely gorgeous location, clean rooms and service areas. The hotel has a pool, bar, restaurant, office, church, and fitness center. The staff is extremely helpful and pleasant!

No complains from me check in was smooth Room was cleaned. It is 25 minutes outside of Miami Beach. (50+minutes) if it’s traffic. I enjoyed my stay at Miami lakes hotel.

Joe, Michell and Dre were all very accommodating. Thank you for being so nice. Even if it was a one night stay. beds were clean. rooms smelled cleaned and it was coldddd as hell in the restrooms

Miami Lakes is a nice hidden gem and this hotel is in the middle of the action. The sports bar on the first floor is a nice place to catch a game. Bedding was great. Pool was average. Clean and quiet.

I remember when this was the Don Shula hotel. I grew up just a few blocks from here and it was so cool to stay here. It still is, this was a wonderful experience. The housekeeping was great, the room was comfortable, and that bed was the best sleep I've had on this trip. The front desk was perfect. Raphael was kind, courteous, and charming. From the point where I checked in all the way to my check out. The Miami lakes hotel was trying to make my trip that much better. Next time I come to south Florida I'll be coming here again.

I've stayed here a few times and found a wide variety in the rooms, but all are clean and comfortable. Some aspects are a little dated but the amenities are great. The property is also much bigger than it appears at first glance, so some rooms are a hike from the front desk.

Update 2022: the hotel has a new name and appears to have been updated since my last visit. Still 5 stars!
