Chicken Time Cuban and Puertorican Restaurant

Very welcoming environment and the food was fresh and tasty. Will definitely return and recommend to family and friends.

I’m Puerto Rican and very picky with our cuisine. This place is amazing. Just like what Mama makes. Chef Oscar has won awards and now I know why. Waldina is so kind and inviting. Absolutely order the bandeja jibara platter. The Alcapurria, arroz con gabdules, and pastel were so delicious. I will dream about it. The mavi was just so good. Brought back so many memories.

So so so good!! By far the best Cuban food we've had. We had the ham croquettes with dip (make sure and get the dip!) My wife had the croquet sandwich and I had the Puerto Rican tripleta, and of course my wife had the cafe con leche.

This is the perfect Puerto Rican, Cuban combo. The staff, is just a husband and wife team, but they handle everything so well. Give it a try, you will not be disappointed!

Quiet atmosphere. Service was prompt & cordial. Owner was friendly & welcoming. I was born & raised in Puerto Rico; therefore, extremely picky with what people label "Puertorican" food. This place is legitimately good. Food was seasoned just right! It's been in business for 30 years. From the outside, it gives a hole-in-the wall vibe; however, the inside is quiet & clean. Clean restrooms too! La comida sí tiene sazón! Carne frita was perfect. Ropa vieja was full of flavor! Buen trabajo mi gente!

This was our first time dining at Chicken Time but it won't be the last. The service was perfect, and the food was delicious and abundant!! My husband and I are looking forward to our next meal at Chicken Time. If you are anywhere near Belleview, Florida, I recommend you give Chicken Time a try. You will not be disappointed.

When we find ourselves close to Belleview we seem to always go to Chicken Time Cuban, since it is so good and very reasonable in price. Today was no exception. My wife had Chicken Caribe, grilled marinaded chicken breast with grilled onions, and loved it. I had Puerco Asado, thinly carved roast pork with onions and mojito sauce. I also loved it. The service is also always good. We will be back.

We've eaten here many times and always have a good experience. They are very nice and the food has not yet missed. Mofongo, cubans, and biftec sandwiches are all must-tries.

BEST food in Belleview. I eat from this family owned restaurant a few times a week. I have NEVER been disappointed with the quality, taste or portion size. This is the best kept secret our little town has!!

Delicious… the black beans and rice are heavenly. And the service is very good. Wonderful restaurant highly recommend.

I came here at the recommendation of a friend at All About Art art gallery just down the street. I ordered and then as I was waiting my friend told me she wanted me to order for her as well and the restaurant made sure both of our orders came out at the same time so that was nice.

Everything we ordered was great, the Cuban sandwiches had that perfect crunchy buttery bread that you can only seem to get at good Cuban restaurants. I haven’t had plantains in years and theirs were crunchy and came with a really good dipping sauce. Their prices were really reasonable as well.

Great place for some delicious Cuban food. The Cuban sandwiches are amazing. Went here with a friend on lunch and had a great time staff was very friendly. Chicken Con Pollo is delicious also.

1st time and WE LOVED IT! ❤ As you read the reviews, you can tell MANY people rave on the Delicious Authentic Cuban Food Here...ALL TRUE! My husband and I shared the Hot Pressed "Pan Con Biftec Deluxe" 🥪 Sandwich. The beef so tender with onions, cheese, and toasted perfectly..DELISH! Had a couple appetizers "Beef Empandilla & Tostones". AMAZING!!!

We googled what some of the items were prior to going for we have never had Cuban Cuisine. Wanted to try some new things, SO GLAD WE DID! We travel full time and finding those little "off the grid, non-commercial, you never forget delicious restaurants is our fun time activity...NAILED IT HERE! Great puerto Rican flavor food is outstanding .

I had my first Cuban sandwich here years ago. No other place can match these, that I've found. Went back today and had another great sandwich.

I recently moved from South Florida and the thing I miss most is Cuban/Caribbean food. I'm SO HAPPY I found Chicken Time because OMG - Some of THE BEST food I've ever had. Absolutely delicious, always fresh, super authentic. I've eaten here twice in one week it's so good. Thank you!!!

One's first impression of this restaurant likely won't be too positive--from the outside it doesn't look like much, and inside the place looks like it hasn't been renovated since the day they opened. However, they keep the place clean, and speaking for myself, it's the food that matters, not the ambiance. As to the food--do yourself a favor and don't even look at the menu--just order the "Vaca Frita" (shredded beef with grilled onions) with rice, black beans, and an extra side of sweet plantains. It's a wonderful mix of flavors...sweet & salty with just a touch of sour...so damn tasty!!!!! Whenever I've eaten here there's only been one waitress and one cook, so if the place is busy (that's a good sign, right??) you may have to wait a few minutes to have your order taken and another 10 minutes or so to get your food. Trust me--it's worth the wait!
