Recommended by the Whaling Museum, we went for lunch. The Stuffed Quahog was good for appetizer and we loved the crunchy cod fish. So fresh!

I was in New Bedford on business, and I had a few hours to unwind before the end of my day. I took a stroll around the waterfront of this quaint New England city and found the Whaler's Tavern. The ambiance was delightful, the food and drink were delicious, and the locals here were friendly. I would really like to come back during the peak tourism season and experience more of this city. Fun fact: In the 1840s, New Bedford was considered one of the wealthiest cities in the world

This restaurant is a hidden gem! The ambience is awesome with it being located by the waterfront. The space itself is quaint & cute. I appreciated the staff's customer service as they made sure our party was comfortable and had what we needed. Lastly let's talk about the food, AMAZING! I will definitely return. Have to try a Bloody Mary next time 😁

This spot is a hole in the wall, a absolute hidden gem in New Bedford. Been wanting oysters and finally gave in. Service was great and the food and drinks I would highly recommend. I will definetly be back there this summer. The place is easy to hang out in im definetly jealous we don't have a place like this in my city but I'm glad it's a short drive away The seafood tasted incredibly fresh and portions were good. Very happy with my experience here!

I absolutely love this bar. True old school feel, awesome, comfortable, warm classic New England interior. My Bartender, Alexis was as equally warm and made me feel at home immediately. Excellent drink menu, beer selection, and the food was the star. So many great choices. I got some local super fresh Barnstable Harbor oysters to start and they were melt in your mouth amazing (2 for 1 at happy hour as well!!)... Got the Poor Man's Surf & Turf (1/4 lb delicious hot dog and a Stuffed Quahog) and it was exactly what I was hoping for. Glad I made the trip out and I will most DEFINITELY be back.

Lobster roll was best I've had...I try a roll in every New England town I go to. Don't sleep on the kale soup, very tasty!

I have been in town a few times for family - I keep searching for my spot to go to when I come in town and I found it.

Clam chowder is excellent - beer selection is great. The place is VERY clean. Has that great new England feel and I will definitely be back as the service was top notch.

Great little place to vibe at. The bar tender was so awesome she really cares for people and takes care of them. The tuna tartar and tuna stacks were to die for. You have to try their infused bloody Mary and their Mai Thi from a barrel

If there were a small coastal town fisherman's local bar... This is what you would imagine. The drinks are amazing! You have to try their barrel aged Mai Tai's and spiced rum. But the real reason to go here is for the Stuffies... They have to be the best in New England!

Great experience here! I sat at the bar and ordered some small plates, the calamari was excellent and the truffle fries were very good. All of the food that came out looked delicious! This place definitely has a good kitchen and the atmosphere is a really cool, small, and quant bar.
