When we met with Dusty to interview to build our dream home in McCall he covered all of our requests and Tracie & I didn't look any further as we felt very good we were in good hands! We got a later start in the year then we had hoped but Dusty and crew delivered! Sorry if I forgot someone but these guys were great during the process & really STOOD OUT and without there hard work it wouldn't of finished how it did. From Pine Top Kevin ,Zach,Travis,Carrie,Bill & Kyle were a incredible group of gifted guys that really cared about the DETAILS and finished product! We chose Pinetop to build our McCall home after our cousin’s positive experience. This is the finest, most well built house that we have ever owned. The house is wonderfully designed, well situated to take best advantage of our views and is exceedingly comfortable. We expect heating costs to be well controlled and the driveway and garage design to perform superbly in winter. Dusty started framing in February, and was in constant communication and available whenever we had questions or concerns. We were able to move in before Independence day, saving us from “moving twice”. In short, Pinetop has been great to work with and we would recommend them to others.

Building our home in McCall with Pinetop has been a great experience. In our search for real estate, we found that building was our best option and were led to Dusty by our Realtor.
Right away Pinetop was eager to help us choose an area, design a home and make our dreams come true. Steve Williams helped us pick quality materials for wood and tile flooring, rockwork, appliances, plumbing fixtures, lighting package, exterior materials and paint colors and made sure the quality of workmanship was tops.
The timeline of building couldn't have been better! As promised our home was finished on time...three and a half months from beginning to end. Since we were not in the area during building much of the time, the Builder Trend website was an excellent way to keep up with progress and communicate with Dusty, Steve and Brett. Our questions and concerns were always quickly and knowledgably answered and tended to in a professional manner. We spent a few days in the house after completion and are excited about spending the summer there this year.
Pinetop has been excellent in following up with us while we are out of the area and have continued with great service while we are waiting to move in this Spring. We love our new home and have been very happy with Dusty and the staff at Pinetop.

What a great experience we had building our custom home with Pinetop. Dusty and Elise were great to work with and the price was very competitive. We had originally looked at buying an existing home, but after searching and searching and not finding anything we liked we sat down with Dusty and found we could build exactly what we wanted for much less money. From start to finish was just over 2 months! We had great feedback and when we had any questions they were quick to respond and very easy to work with. Dusty kept us in the loop throughout the entire construction process. We have now used Pinetop Builders for two projects: a cabin in McCall about 6 years ago and a major remodel of our home in Boise this spring. From the design and positioning of our McCall house on the river lot to the completed project, Dusty Bitton, the PineTop staff and associated subcontractors were professional, approachable and just plain fun to work with for approximately 8.5 months. We would build again with PineTop. We were encouraged to visit the job site at least every other week (lived in Boise) in order to ask questions, review the progress and make any necessary changes. This is a fine group of people who build a very fine product. PineTop deserves your attention if you are planning to build a home in Valley County or the surrounding area.

My name is Pat Hamilton. When we started looking (Me and my wife Leslie) for a builder the first thing that stuck with me was that Dusty wanted to meet me early in the morning to keep his schedule in place. I feel timing and organization is crucial in construction to keep your cost down and on budget. After viewing a couple of Pinetop sites I was immediately impressed with their style of construction. We wanted a lot of natural wood in a warm setting. We used Tom States as our building designer in conjunction with Dusty's input. We definitely wanted more of a cabin look than a residence look. Dusty made recommendations and we love the results. A lot of our interior design was not specified, so we left it up to Dusty and his experience to get us the look we desired. We couldn't be happier with the results. Even with a couple building interruptions we finished on schedule and on budget. As we progressed through the project Dusty gave us some pretty firm opinions that we were making some decisions that we would regret later as we tried to keep everything on budget. We gave in on the majority of Dusty's suggestions. Looking back after two years we are glad that Dusty and Alese talked us into those upgrades and we are sorry we didn't follow their lead on a couple others. In our search for a vacation home in McCall, we decided that building would be best for us. We were introduced to Pinetop Builders by our realtor, Heather Haines at Century 21. After meeting Dusty, he was a big part of us selecting our perfect lot in Aspen Ridge. We undertook a challenging project in a remote and unforgiving location characterized by high winds and changing weather. Before selecting Pinetop, I toured projects they had underway at various stages of construction. Their job sites were neat and well organized; the build quality was first rate... whether it was a lower priced spec home or a higher priced custom. In every instance the attention to detail and quality craftsmanship was evident. As our own job unfolded, Dusty Bitton kept me well informed with photos, Skype video calls, phone calls and texts since I was 2500 miles away. Our project "pushed the envelope" on energy efficiency with its double wall construction, a closed loop ground source heat pump and a super tight building envelope. Those investments paid off... thus far we have never paid more than $100/month to heat, cool and power our 2700 square foot home from sub zero days in January to 100 degree days in July. We conducted a blower door test for airtightness, and the results were impressive... better than Energy Star and even better than the Department of Energy's Challenge Home standard. The overall experience has been terrific, and the outcome was superb. I can recommend Dusty and the entire Pinetop team without hesitation.

After purchasing a home in McCall, we discovered ice damming problems the first winter. We discovered Pinetop Custom Homes from an internet search. Dusty came out right away and looked over our house, particularly the attic and immediately was able to identify the source of our problems. Utilizing his specific experience in McCall, he was able to get the right contractors and redid the insulation and roof on our house the way it should have been done the first time. Pinetop knows a house is likely the single largest investment a person will make, and they do an outstanding job of making it a positive and enjoyable experience for each customer. Being a designer, I get to engage with customers early in the building process. Many times new clients are a bit nervous and apprehensive, either not knowing what to expect, because they haven’t gone through the building process before, or because they have had negative experiences with other builders on past projects. So often, I have enjoyed watching as customers realize Pinetop’s system minimizes the stress they had anticipated and dreaded, and they actually start having fun as each phase of Pinetop’s process unfolds!

Pinetop offers an interactive full custom design service. It’s a fun process where the client’s ideas are incorporated into the design and visualized on a 3D cad program - many times in a live setting at Pinetop’s office, the customer’s home or in an online virtual meeting. This phase of the process is fun, and actually expedites the design phase because there is immediate customer feedback and alterations to the plan can be made at that time. This is just a quick example of the innovation designed into the Pinetop system. There are so many more examples, like the pre-manufactured walls, the “Zip-Seal” system, the methodology implemented in choosing building materials and fixtures - I could go on and on! These innovative techniques result in a highly efficient service and very well built product. Pinetop’s turn-around time on a custom home, in most cases, is similar to the turn-around time I’ve seen with lower quality “cookie-cutter” homes.
