Maine Lobstah Shack is amazing! This is the best lobster roll in the Southeast and quite possibly across the entire east coast. Lobster Rolls are my absolute favorite and I have had authentic rolls across New England. Not only are the rolls amazing, fresh, with lump lobster meat, the service is impeccable as the owners truly care about the experience of their guests. Best of all, right in the heart of Surf City with a great view! What is there not to like? This place is a gem! Our go to spot every time we are in Surf City!

Came all the way from Arizona to try this and it definitely did not disappoint!! Literally the best lobster rolls we’ve ever had 😋 The food, service and atmosphere was amazing. If you’re thinking about it just do it.

My wife and I have been coming to Maine Lobstah Shack since they’ve opened and it’s the best place to eat on the island. The food is amazing, but Trevor and his staff are even better. The atmosphere is super chill and reminds me of back home in New England. The only thing different here than back home is that the portions are super generous.

Great food!! The Lobster is from Maine and not frozen!!! It was on point and they had the best coleslaw I’ve tasted in a restaurant!!!
They also gave out samples of the Lobster Bisque and Clam Chowder. After the meal they gave Whoopi pie samples also.
Very friendly and inviting people.

Maine lobster served up with either hot butter or mayo on a split top bun, a side of pickle, chips, slaw, an ice cold beer from Maine and served to you while you take in the North Carolina sun... I mean need I say more? Rolls are served with all beautiful lobster claw meat and the DIY kit comes with a very nice portion of lobster to easily make 6 rolls (I think the value was great and some of the claw meat is so large I had to break it apart to put it on the roll)... Prices are a little high I think for the rolls at the restaurant but I mean you get what you pay for and pristine Maine lobster claw ain't cheap. It'll definitely be a stop for me when I'm visiting Topsail. They also serve you free samples of their chowder and bisque while you wait... Both were great.

The lobster roll was awesome! I ordered a Maine Roll and a beer. The lobster was very fresh and succulent. The service was also top notch, very friendly and quick (they even filled up a water bowl for my dog). We were offered samples of the lobster bisque and Whoopie pies while we were dining in and they were also amazing (sad I was too full to order some of each).

Having worked in the service industry before and currently working in retail, there are a few tell tale signs of how a business operates. I can say without a doubt that this restaurant operates FOR the customers and truly care about their craft. Would highly recommend and I’m sure they’ll be seeing me again in the future!

Amazing Lobster Rolls, my wife and I both had one and we shared the Mac and Cheese and lobster roll. Everything was delicious and the owner was there and talked to us a bit. This is a must hit place if you love seafood/lobster and you are visiting Topsail Island.

Lobster roll was fantastic and extremely fresh. Anyone who enjoys lobster would know that right away. Warm butter to drizzle on top, and lemon for a lil extra sweetness. Awesome service, met the owner who was extremely accommodating and welcoming. Check this place out!

Enjoyed a Maine lobster roll for lunch, which was very tasty and served with hot butter. The Lobstah Shack has a casual, but inviting outdoor dining ambiance. I think what made this place so enjoyable was the wonderful service. Staff were handing out samples of the chowder to try as well as desserts to sample. The owner was walking about and you could tell there is a lot of pride in the business and wanting to ensure guests have a good experience. Lunch came exceptionally fast and the servers are very attentive. Would recommend

First lobstah roll ever here. I really enjoyed it with butter. The roll was amazing! Very fresh and delicious. We loved the touch of the owner greeting us and telling us more about the place when we walked up to order as well! And we got free samples of the chowder, very yummy!

Great place for Lobster. The portion are very generous, highly suggest the lobster Mac and cheese. Service was very fast and extremely friendly.

Take the hospitality of Chick-fil-A, multiply that times 10, and that’s what you get at the Lobstah shack. Everyone who works there greets you with a smile, and free samples. My wife and I got two lobster rolls and let me tell you, they were PHENOMENAL. Anything you get off the menu here will melt in your mouth with amazing flavor. The owner, Trevor was super super kind and spoke with us about their story, and whole process. He even gave us some free Mac and cheese lobster to take home! The kindness and generosity of the lobstah shack blew us away, and I would highly recommend checking them out if you’re in the area. God bless you all!

Greatest dining experience I’ve had on Topsail. The service team had our food out to us minutes after ordering. The bread on the lobster roll is the lightest, airiest, bread with the perfect crunch. Could have easily eaten 3 rolls while enjoying the peaceful atmosphere by the water. The owners Trevor and Jenn made me and my wife feel like locals with the conversation and personal service. It felt like every person dining around us had the same experience of experiencing pure joy.

A nice slice of Maine in the Carolinas. Food was spot on. Great lobster rolls. The clam chowder was exactly the way I’d want it. The only problem you’ll experience is wanting more when it’s over.

Can't say enough about how well run this place is. The owners and staff were top notch. Highly recommend the Lobster roll paired with the Maine Kolsch it was wicked pissah.

This place is the absolute greatest. The lobster roll was unbelievable. The service was incredible. Great coleslaw, we tried the clam chowder and lobster bisque and those were both amazing as well. You have to stop here.

T.S. Deby tried to keep us away but failed. Owner (I’m assuming) was so welcoming and very attentive. We ordered 3 1/4 lobster rolls, regular Mac and cheese and a chowder. Everything was so delicious. Side of slaw and butter included and chips and pickle. Great lunch or dinner option! Only outdoor seating so we ate in our car but well worth it!!

Maine Lobstah Shack is such an amazing restaurant! The lobster rolls are so delicious! The lobster is the star of the show. Their Mac and Cheese is perfect for the non-seafood patrons. Be sure to save room for their Whoopi Pies!
Not only is the food top tier, the owner and his employees are so kind, attentive and generous! They truly treat you like family!

This dinning experience was the best I have ever had. Trevor and his staff/ family go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and bring a slice of Maine to the beach. I had the lobster Mac and cheese. So much lobster. It was a 10/10. Do not leave Surf City without visiting Maine Lobstah Shack! Can’t wait to come back!

I live in Atlanta and travel to the Wilmington area quite a bit. When I can, the first place I like to go when I get to town is Maine Lobstah Shack. It’s the best lobster I’ve had!

This past weekend, we had a bunch of our family in town and Maine Lobstah Shack provided the food. I had warned everyone they were in for a treat - and as promised - they delivered.

If you live anywhere close or travel to the Wilmington area - GO NOW! In fact, unless you live closer to Maine, you should make your way there now!
