Serengeti Springs at the Hattiesburg Zoo

This was a back to school trip for those of us that have children. Really enjoyed this place and although it did rain we were still able to enjoy a few hours before the rain came in and we may have waited maybe 45 minutes or an hour for the storm to pass over and thankfully it did so we were able to stay the entire day. It is HIGHLY recommended that you purchase your tickets in advance bc they do state on their website that DO NOT drive a far without a ticket bc SOLD out means SOLD out and no tickets can be purchased. All over this was a neat little place and we enjoyed our outing. Drove from Mobile, Al.

I bought tickets online and a cabana last month for my daughter’s 2nd birthday this weekend and this place is a 10/10! I highly recommend buying tickets at least a month in advance as I did. The cabana is also worth every penny!The reviews had me a little nervous, but I think the issue is people don’t expect crowds. This place is nice and affordable, so of course other people want to come check it out too! I arrived about 10:30am and the parking lot was already PACKED, but I was still able to find a spot. I’ll definitely come back!

We had a blast! Only complaint is the color paint they chose for the concrete and they need more tubes. We are about to come back for my birthday. We love the swim up bar and the bartenders are so good and they are so sweet. Definitely needed this in Hattiesburg. It would be cool if yall could add a pool for children. I’m sure that would help moms and kids needing a break from the lazy river but wanting to stay in the water. I don’t have little ones anymore but as a Mom I think that would be great!

Very nice place for the kids ! Everytime we have been my kids has begged to go back ! Great environment! The chairs is placed just right so you can keep a eye on your children at all times ! Will go back ! Reasonable prices !

Very clean and very fun for all ages!! You have to be at least 36 inches to ride most of the bigger slides. Only one requires 40 inches. There are also a few smaller slides that only require around 28 inches. Took my 7 year old niece and her friend and they were able to do everything except one slide. They had a blast. They do have a capacity, so order tickets in advance. Tickets are also cheaper online.

I was skeptical because of the reviews, but the reviews are from a bunch on whiny ungrateful people who don’t know how to plan ahead. This place was awesome! I came from Atlanta GA to celebrate my son’s bday. Yeah, we could’ve went to Six Flags or White Water, a much bigger park, but my family recommended Serengeti Springs. We had a BLAST. It was nice, small (wouldn’t recommend going during busy times) and not that pack which was PERFECT for my son with high sensory. This place was CLEAN and the staff were SO NICE. My mom caught a cramp in the lazy river and the life guards didn’t waste time aiding her. Yes, it’s more of a splash pad for kids, but I would absolutely take another trip with my adult friends here (swim up bar, great food, etc). I would ignore the reviews and give this place a shot. I’m not sure what people are expecting for a water park to be in limited space here in Hattiesburg. There are tons of slides for all ages. Sometimes the lines are disorganized with kids cutting but they’re kids. The lazy river is kind of small and it can be cramped at times. There are tons of life guards around the park so it does feel very safe.

Had an amazing time at this water park!! The river was super chill and fun, the food was great and the staff was truly top notch!!! Lifeguards are clearly attentive and vigilant. Safe, fun, great place to cool off and hang out. Highly recommend!

It's compact, so you don't have to walk for miles. Great use of space and family friendly. Plenty of parking with shuttle buses. Be mindful of peak hours

Wasn't crowded. Very clean. Several cabanas and chairs available. Everyone was very nice.

My family and I had a great time. The water park is very kid friendly. The food was great. Overall it was a nice experience.

Great fun!! The lazy river was great for my elderly mother and the slides were so much fun. The food is the best around! Great value right in the avenues.

Fun waterpark, especially for the kids! Only critique I would have is a few more cheesy snack options but had tons of fun and can’t wait to go back!!

Very nice, they control how many people can come in. That makes everything better. Make sure you get your tickets online the day before. We will be going again
