Englehart Painting

My boyfriend and I just recently purchased an 1800s farmhouse and the exterior maintenance had been neglected - peeling and chipping paint down to the bare wood in some spots. We called Englehart and Joe was able to come out and give us a quote in just a few days, and was able to fit us in his schedule in just a few weeks. It was definitely a huge process - scraping, sanding, and multiple coats of paint but he made sure it looked great! Joe worked around the weather and kept us updated throughout the whole process. I couldn’t believe how clean the team was, vacuuming up paint dust and chips at the end of every day, you wouldn’t even know they were there aside from the progress on the house. We are very happy with the quality of the work and would definitely recommend Englehart Painting to anyone!

Joe painted the entire interior of our home. He and Leo did a great job cleaning up afterwards. They also painted our doors in our bedroom, and hung them back up. They arrived on time as they said they would. I have recommended them to a couple of friends who were also happy with their work Thank you, Joe, for a job well done.

I hired Joe to paint all the rooms in my house. I ended up having ceilings that are streaked and in some rooms he did a heavy outline of white on ceiling then they painted very thin paint leaving the edging to be way darker then the rest of the ceiling. Same thing with walls that meet the ceiling. Most of the trim was painted only on the face but not the sides. If you look at the sides of the window and door casings you see the color of the wall streaked on it. He painted trim with semi gloss and did touch ups with flat paint. None of the trim by the floor in the bathroom was painted. You can also see in the pictures where the wall has thin paint near the trim. Joe charged me extra to paint wood trim in the hall and dining room and charged for a bonding paint. When he didn't paint the wood I told him I wanted it done in white paint. One of his guys and Joe argued for about 10 minutes why I should not paint the wood. Joe had other things in the contract he charged for and didn't do like repairing cracks but he just left them making up excuses why he didn't do them. On the ceiling near the lights and over my kitchen cupboard you can see where he missed areas. Joe said he would send a partial refund but never did. This is the third or fourth time I hired Joe to paint and he was never as unprofessional doing the job as he was this time. Note the pictures are after Joe painted.
