Great Family atmosphere!!! Pizza and cheese stick were good. Plenty of TV's to watch your favorite sporting events and a outside play area for the kids.

We love their pizza. It really is delicious. Just try it once. That's all it will take. Never eaten there. Always to go!

Huge play area for the kids! Instead of worrying about the kids being too wild, they have a bunch of soccer and footballs for the kids to play with. Plus good food. Open a tab at the bar and they bring the food out to you! Makes a great family hangout.

6:00 on Friday-lots of peppole picking up take out, many families with young children both inside and outside on huge playarea. Food was good, affordable. Wait staff was very competent and polite.

I ordered the pillow pizzas for my sons and I. We ordered pepperoni, buffalo chicken and meat lovers. They were great! $5 each plus tax and tip! Great food great price!

This is one of the best places in Waco for family gatherings, parties, birthdays, to watch sports, or do it all at once. The service is excellent, food is great everytime, they have a full bar, and the outdoor space is amazing for the kids. It makes planning large get togethers super easy. Waco has needed this for a long time.

This is their new location. It is very kid friendly. The food is just like the Baylor location. They have an area outside for kids to play. Not a playground, but they had balls, frisbees, little soccer goals, perfect for kiddos to just run around.
It is bigger than the original location. But if you like the pizza there, you’ll like it here. It’s nothing fancy, but a good inexpensive place to grab a pizza. Or just a slice.

I’ve been waiting for something like Big’z in San Antonio to open up in Waco. Shorty’s finally took a shot and scored. Perfect location on a busy street, tons of parking but it still won’t be enough once full, and a giant outdoor area for kids to play in while adults talk.

This is the place all families and sports teams will be going to in Central Texas from now on. It’s BYOB (bring your own ball). They have a full size soccer goal, and it’s all covered in soft turf so kids can be rough without getting hurt. I imagine you could have over 100+ people outside before it starts feeling cramped.

We frequent Shorty's on Hewitt. Great family atmosphere. Yesterday we arrived at noon with a large party coming from a baseball tournament. They were very accommodating, pulling tables together. Food is very well done and doesn't break the bank. There is a huge kids play area with artificial turf and shade for the parents.

I can't believe I haven't left a review for Shorty's Hewitt yet! Absolutely love everything about this place. Best family dining option in the Hewitt-Woodway area, by far.

Great place for a quick bite and a beer (served in 1/2 pitchers). Kid friendly with a huge outdoor area.

I really enjoyed the whole wheat crust! However, I had the Margherita pizza and it had way too much balsamic vinegar! Especially right in the middle! Fun place tho, for kids and adults!

Excellent place for kids and family. I also think they serve the best fried pickles and mushrooms! Best bang for your buck as far as affordable. Hewitt location.

Love the new location!! Can’t go wrong value-wise with the Pizza Pillows - taste great and super reasonably priced! The enormous turf field, which is completely fenced in, is exactly what more restaurants need, though I do wish there was some climbing equipment for the kids since the space is so huge. The only knock so far in our two visits was that it seems like service has lagged a bit in the area around the bar, which is where we prefer to sit to keep an eye on our kids while playing. Slow lines for ordering at the bar and also table service was a bit slow, both during peak lunch and dinner times, and in both cases I think it was just a matter of being understaffed in this area. This will be a go-to for
our family for many years to come!
