Castillo Craft Bar + Kitchen

My husband and I visited the Castillo Craft Bar for an after dinner cocktail experience, and they definitely delivered. Our mixologist was warm and friendly. She took our first drink order of the two smoked cocktails on their menu; an old fashioned and margarita. After that she made us a couple off menu cocktails or customized a cocktail on the menu. We even received a complimentary lavender infused cocktail they are planning to add to their spring menu. Everything tasted great, and we would definitely come back. Thanks!

We recently had the pleasure of enjoying breakfast at Castillo Craft Bar & Kitchen, and it was a delightful experience. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was inviting and the staff were friendly. Our server, Kyle, provided exceptional service, ensuring we had everything we needed and making us feel welcome.

We ordered a variety of dishes, and each one was delicious. The Nutella French Toast was a standout, perfectly sweet and decadent. The Omelette with goat cheese was light and flavorful, a great combination of ingredients. The avocado toast was fresh and tasty, topped with just the right amount of seasoning. The biscuits and gravy were hearty and comforting, a classic done right.

Overall, Castillo Craft Bar & Kitchen exceeded our expectations with its fantastic food and top-notch service. Highly recommend for a great breakfast spot!

One of the most incredible meals I’ve ever had. The service was EXCELLENT. Our server was great, but the manager/owner was even better! He ensured all of our needs were met, personally ran our food, got us any refills, and sauces. The bartenders also had a great attitude and were very helpful. There is also complimentary valet in front. This place was incredible!! I got a dirty martini (they have blue cheese olives!), coconut shrimp, fries, and the Sweet & Spicy Smoked BBQ Short Rib which came with garlic pomme puree and charred carrots. I cannot recommend it enough. Five stars all around.

I am part of a group of local friends who gather each month for breakfast/brunch/lunch at different establishments. I chose Castillo Craft Bar + Kitchen for our March breakfast and everyone LOVED it! We were seated in the private room (there were 11 of us) with 4 square tables pushed together so we all sat facing each other and it was ideal. The hostess, Haley, was fabulous, and our server, Chloe, was patient, professional and helpful. The food was amazing, and one of the ladies in our group said that she'd be happy if we could eat there every month! The (complimentary) valet attendants were also great. Highly recommend Castillo Kitchen - we can't wait to go back!

If you are looking for a nice atmosphere, good food, and great service in Dowtown Saint Augustine, this is a place to try. From the start, the service was outstanding. We had a 3 course dinner with drinks and dessert. To start the Steak Satay was amazing, for main courses we had the Duck Confit Pot Pie, and the Almond & Coconut Crusted Mahi( I will personally recommend this dish) and for dessert, we ordered the key lime and the tres leches which was my favorite of the two.

Huge shout out to Chef Michael, Chef Frank and Bryce. They are doing something special here. The food is absolutely delicious. The presentation is top notch. The service is excellent and the drinks are really good. Consistency is very important to me and I've eaten here multiple times for breakfast and dinner. Each time is a positive experience. I can say that this is my favorite restaurant in St Augustine. Try the pasta dish and thank me later.

Always impressed when I visit this restaurant. Their food is exquisite but the real star is their cocktails. Some options vary by season but if you happen to be there when either the Apple Pie Martini or the Key Lime Martini are available, don’t think just order! The espresso martini is also excellent and I highly recommend. Their crème brûlée is also not to be missed.

I had the pleasure to visiting this amazing restaurant recently, and I must say that everything about it was simply outstanding. The ambience was perfect, the food was delicious beyond words, and the service was top-notch. In particular, I highly recommend trying out the new seasonal soup - it was absolutely on point and left me craving for more. Overall, it was a truly memorable dining experience that I would love to relive again and again.

My husband and I went here for dinner during the night of lights. It was wonderful. The cocktails are great. I got the salmon and it was cooked perfectly with a tasty glaze on top. My husband got the prime rib sandwich. We finished our meal with the the butterscotch bread pudding and WOW it was one of the best desserts we had ever had. The service was quick and attentive. We will definitely be back!

Hadley, Johanna & the gentleman that was with Johanna were 5 stars… They went above and beyond with everything… unfortunately Jenna was very unaccompanied & not very welcoming… I asked to change the smallest things that I know were possible as I am a bartender myself but her answer was just always NO! We eat at this restaurant 2 days in a row and we were very grateful Hadley took over for Jenna on day 1…
The food was outstanding, the chefs are incredible, the drinks were fabulous this is an absolute 5 star restaurant minus 1 human that honestly just needs a service bar without humans…

A wonderful place for families with children, as it truly has the best children's menu, which is quite rare throughout America. The atmosphere is absolutely fantastic, with incredibly friendly and welcoming staff. They are very polite professionals. If you are also a fan of modern European atmosphere, with very fashionable and stunning interior design, delicious food, it's incredibly convenient to stay in the very center of this amazing city and accidentally find such a beautiful place. I sincerely do not understand why this restaurant has 4.3 stars. It definitely confuses people who are used to such a high level of service and excellent food.

I’m genuinely confused as to why this isn’t at least a 4.7 star restaurant. Seriously the BEST coconut shrimp we’ve ever had, the scallops had the melt-in-the-mouth goodness, the Brussels were ACTUALLY crispy (not oil-soaked/fried), and the drinks totally knocked our socks off. The apple cranberry tart was absolutely made in-house and was exceptional 👌🏻👌🏻 5 stars is an easy decision here. Wait staff was also excellent and we were very well tended to.

service. We started with some apps - can't go wrong with the brussel sprouts, truffle fries and 10-spice wings. All were and we loved the fried banana peppers in the sprouts. For entrees we went with the swordfish tacos and G.O.A.T. burger. The flavors were spot on and both were cooked perfectly. Finished off with a brownie and bread pudding. Delicious!
We love the location between downtown and uptown and the complimentary valet is a nice touch. We walked off our meal downtown and love that us locals have this dining option available now!

We love CCB&K. The service and dishes are impeccable. The Mahi is one of our favorites!

Came here for my husband's birthday. We came on a Wednesday and it was perfect, not to busy at all. Absolutely loved the food. We ordered the sea bass and 1855 black Angus.

We have visited here twice with my family (December 2023 & June 2024). We have found a new favorite place to visit when we come to St.Augustine! We have visited both the main dining room & the bar area, and had great food, drinks & service. Pasta Bolagnase is my husband's favorite. I enjoyed the steak.

My boyfriend and I were spending a long weekend enjoying a trip to St Augustine. After searching for a restaurant near our hotel that was open after 8 (very few for such a touristy town) we came across Castillo. After a 10 minute walk we were pleasantly surprised to walk into a classy, intimate restaurant. We were greeted immediately and sat at a quiet table. Our waitress Kristen was very attentive but didn’t hover, which was wonderful. We asked a few questions and even met chef Michael who was very nice and chatted with us for a bit. Our food came out about 10min or so after we ordered. My boyfriend got the pork belly bao buns… that pork belly, oh my goodness! My BF is super judgy when it comes to food so when I tell you he said it was the best pork belly he’s ever had, that is an understatement. Crispy, fatty, full of flavor….amazing. I had the Duck, it came with grilled asparagus and smashed potatoes. The duck was cooked perfectly with a nice crispy skin, and the sides were absolutely delicious. I wish I had not been so full, because I would have loved to see what the dessert was like. When we come back we will 100% be eating here. Service A+, food A+, atmosphere A+.

Loved the drink menu, definitely will be back to try dinner. We had appetizers and if you are picky like me with calamari, this place makes yummy calamari! The menu had a broad range of options so when I go back, I will definitely take more pics. For what we had, delicious. Serving sizes were large and we had left overs to take home.

Unforgettable Experience
I am very pleased to write this review pertaining to my experience at the Castillo Craft Bar + Kitchen. From the moment we stepped through the front door we were met by the charming and professional character of Mr. Jason. He displayed a true care and passion about ensuring that we felt welcomed and that all our needs were met to satisfaction. He went above and beyond in his duties and regularly checked on us to ensure that we were pleased with our experience by quickly addressing any needs we had.

My wife ordered the pork chop, which was quite literally one of a kind. It reminded me of a Tomahawk Steak except with Pork and 10x better. The flavors, texture and visual aesthetics of this meal was indescribable. I’m certain if Guy Fieri caught wind of this dish there would be an episode dedicated specifically to their craft in food. I ordered the Ribeye which was cooked to absolute perfection, which surprisingly is hard to find these days, and came with incredible sides boasting in vast flavor and colors. Compliments to the chef and his crew.

I would highly recommend Castillo Craft Bar + Kitchen to anyone looking for an elevated experience that brings date night to a whole new level. Thank you Jason, Chef, and the rest of the Castillo team for an amazing night.

We had an amazing evening celebrating our friend’s birthday! Everything from the wine selections down to the dessert was perfect! We had the opportunity to meet Chef Michel and the restaurant manager Lane- both made sure our evening was special. The Caprese Salad had both basil and mint added to it delicious flavor. There is an herb garden outside of the kitchen where they grow their own herbs. The Sous vide pork chop was tender and perfectly cooked! The Lobster Mac and cheese was delicious with chunks of lobster and just the right amount of cheese. We also had a special of squid ink pasta that was out of this world good! We finished off with the pretzel brownie that was the perfect ending to a wonderful night! Our only regret was not having time for cocktails in the bar area!
