Soul food xpress

Went here for the first time and was very pleased. I got the fried chicken wings with mac and cheese and fries. Food was really good and had great flavor. Definitely will be back

This was my first experience at this restaurant. Being a native New Orleanian we take our food seriously. I’ve been meaning to try for a very long time, and I finally made the effort to come over. The wait was not that long however, the food was worth the wait. Everything was cooked to perfection the chicken and dressing was delicious. The macaroni and cheese was made from scratch, and the cabbage was seasoned, they both could use a little salt, but it was good and tasty. I am one satisfied customer and I will definitely be returning.

My wife n I tried this place today for the first time. This place is delicious and definitely a must have if your in the area. Will be going back to try everything they have. I got the catfish, Mac n cheese and okra. So dang good. My wife got porkchops, potato salad and greens. And we shared the banana pudding. Everything was a 10 out of 10

First time yesterday was fantastic! The portions are generous. Fried pork chops were so tender and flavorful and wings were lightly smoked and moist. The dining room was very clean and the bathroom was spotless. Can’t wait to go back to try other entrees and banana pudding.

Wonderful food and service, food was hot and fresh, not many places cook like this any more, and even if your full you have to try the banana pudding. We will definitely be back.

The name almost says it all. Soulfood Express is owned and operated by an honest and hardworking couple, with an old school work ethic and family values. I've only tried the ribs, fried shrimp and chicken&dressing mains so far and they were amazing. If you want top notch soulfood at a reasonable price, especially these days with inflation, this is your best choice!

My first visit was yesterday and the employees were great. The lady helped me decide what to get. I got the fried pork chops that were seasoned so good and the green beans and Mac n cheese did not disappoint. I will definitely be back!

I have been here, received great service and it has a great staff. I will be returning soon. This time I will post pictures before I eat it all.

First time trying. They are new to opening so working through the kinks BUT everyone was really nice. Food was reasonably price and it was really good. The wings had great seasoning but little and could be cooked a little longer. The Mac n cheese and greens was probably the best I have had and certainly the best in Chattanooga. There is not a soul food place in Chattanooga that comes close. I look forward to trying more menu items. Hopefully they will have a larger and more consistent menu soon. Wonderful addition to the Brainerd area!

That baked fish you all had on Friday was banging delicious!!!!!! Looking forward to it again next Friday. My favorites are the baked bean, collard greens, potato salad and fried fish. Thanks for the great customer service and positive vibes ♥.

Really good food, the jerk mac and cheese was a favorite, the chicken wings good, collard greens the best I’ve ever had. Best down home type restaurant around here , and a local black owned business. Will continue to support.

Best ribs in town and they give you wings to plus 2 sides

This was my first time at Soul Food Express but definitely not my last. The food was great and customer service was patient and understanding as we decided what to get then was very accommodating when we did. It was good seeing my old friend Latrell again and recommend if you haven't been here yet make your way over there and enjoy yourself from the time you get there till you leave.

This is my favorite restaurant in Chattanooga. They cook the Fried Wings to order. The Baked chicken is moist, Greens are good, Mac is good, Kool Aid on deck. Yummy Yummy, Tickle My Tummy!!!!

When u need some real soul food. This is the place to go. Excellent service and food quality. My second time coming and it was even better than the first. I highly recommend you come and get your soul touched at this place.

It was all in all a great experience I had the Fried Chicken wings and in my experience they were very good.When i went to the bathroom it smell awesome I never thought a bathroom would smell so good.The service was great we got our food in about 10 minutes and we had a great time.

Great atmosphere reminded me of when I was a Child in K-Town, but a lot cleaner!!! Everyone should go!!!

Pleasant staff, good chicken, fired okra, and greens. Would go again.
