This is a great location for getting some fresh air and taking pictures. There are some beautiful flowers, an impressive arbor, and a good mix of shade and sun. It is important to note that this place is only open midday, but it is generally quiet without too much traffic. There was no entry fee, but finding the entrance was a little bit tricky. You need to go in via the entrance closest to the highway.

Yaddo Gardens is a treasure in Saratoga. The mansion's architecture is amazing, and the gardens are very well cared for. Philanthropists, Mr. and Mrs. Trask lived there with their children and made it an artist retreat, which is still in operation. There are benches, fountains, and little pathways to wander around during a visit. When people come to visit, or ask me where they should go when in town, Yaddo is always at the top of my list. During October you can attend a haunted tour, where stories about the history of Yaddo and tragedies there are shared at dusk.

Yaddo Gardens is a lovely area to sit and reflect or stroll around the gardens. The roses in August were absolutely magnificent. There were so many varieties and unique colors.

Beautiful and free to visit gardens in Saratoga Springs, beware that visit times are between 11am and 4pm on weekday (I came around 10am and had to return later). Unfortunately you can’t get closer to the mansion grounds…

Such a beautiful garden. It's always peaceful. Haven't been since the covid closure, but I can imagine it's as beautiful as ever!

Yaddo Gardens is a beautiful place, and we've come here for years when in town. This visit, we were sad to see the huge koi that inhabited some of the fountains were all gone and one of the areas that usually has a water display was dry, but the roses were in bloom, and it was still worth the trip. The gate didn't open until 11am, but otherwise no issues getting in or having access. Go slowly on the narrow 2 way access road and park in the small designated parking area.

Can't give 5 stars because the back section has no water or fountain anymore... I'm sure it's expensive to fix that...but the place is historic they need to fix it. The flowers are beautiful.

Beautiful place was nice coming years ago before unfortunately people who are in charge there are becoming dictators I think the public should know. The Trask family left it for the public to enjoy not just for people in the arts.I was surprised Fridays the gardens are closed during raceing season which is totally ridiculous. Like any dictatorship follow the money time to open those gates up for the public.
