Sylvanside Farm Weddings and Events

My husband and I just stayed in the hunt box cottage at sylvanside. It was a wonderful and serene place, such a beautiful farm! The cottage was stocked with everything we needed, and was so cozy and quiet. Close to many wineries and restaurants and close enough to town we could get what we needed. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a quiet getaway or even an event !

What a beautiful location and the barn is absolutely magnificent for a wedding. The team at Sylvanside are extremely client focused and the fact they have so many extras you are free to use, such as candle holders, greenery, arches, signs, vases, etc saves time and money. They frankly have thought of everything including a wedding planner, vendor suggestions, plenty of parking, makeup site, and a beautiful extra lodging to stay the night prior. Just a perfect venue! Highly recommend!

This was absolutely one of the most peaceful, beautiful, refreshing places I have ever stayed. The Hunt Box cottage is adorable and so clean and beautifully decorated. The farm is amazing. Each of the barns on the property are gorgeous and would be a perfect spot for a classy rustic wedding. Being the animal lover I am, my favorite part was visiting the horses. They are so friendly and sweet. The owners are super welcoming and gave us wonderful advice on where to visit while in the area! I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway or a fairytale wedding venue!

Sylvanside made our daughter’s wedding the most magical weekend we could have imagined. The grounds are stunning, the Clydesdales adorable (and oh so photogenic!), the houses where your entire bridal party can celebrate with you are perfection and the barns are made for a celebration no one will ever forget! All our guests raved about the entire event. All the extras provided - tables, dance floor, fun furniture, wine barrels and a room full of decorative extras - plus the amazing Jeff and Terry who bend over backwards to make your wedding day the best day ever make Sylvanside the place to pick!

We are so excited to be getting married at Sylvanside! I can't believe this place exists in VA! It feels like walking into the European countryside. Not only is the land gorgeous, but it has been so easy and seamless coordinating. I was anxious about wedding planning, but feel like we hit the lottery working with people as kind and professional as the owners here ! We also were happy to learn the history of the farm as it was important to us to not get married on a plantation.

I attended a wedding here and the place is absolutely gorgeous. Great outdoor space and gardens, plus two authentic barns that have been decorated a very tasteful shabby chic. For the wedding I attended, the ceremony was held outside by the pond, then drinks in the beautiful stone barn, then dinner and dancing in the larger barn. It was casual yet elegant and everything ran smoothly. I have recommended this venue to many people, and wish it had been around years ago when I was married!

We had our wedding here and it was such a beautiful venue! The views you get from this place just takes your breath away. Terri and Jeff are both great hosts and also very accommodating to make your day truly your special day. Amelia, our wedding coordinator, was the greatest. She made sure we were as stress free as possible by keeping track of our timeline and guests and taking care of everything. The Sylvanside team all worked together to bring our vision for our special day alive!

Sylvanside Farm is absolutely stunning!! My fiancé and I are so excited to have found our wedding venue. There is so much character and hard work put into restoring the history at this farm. As a local wedding videographer, I love exploring the many different venues available for weddings in Northern Virginia. Sylvanside Farm is exceptionally beautiful! The 24-acre farm has a long history that dates back to the late 1700's, and has plenty of room to spread out on the wedding day. There are a variety of backdrops around the property for the couple to use when being photographed or filmed on their wedding day. When I filmed here, the bridal party had plenty of places to get ready, including a small salon. The ceremony took place outside, underneath the shade of trees.The cocktail hour was inside the stone barn, while the reception was inside the long barn, giving everyone more than enough room to dance the night away! There is even a honeymoon suite available so you can stay the night! While beautiful on the ground, the farm looks spectacular from the air! I have included a couple screen shots from my aerial drone footage! Also....a little secret. There is a ping-pong table available to use as well. Its up in the loft where the guys get ready! How fun is that?! I enjoyed great food, and overall had a wonderful experience during my time here. Two thumbs up to Terri and her staff for providing such a wonderful venue! I look forward to filming many more weddings at this location!

Terri & Jeff are great hosts and the farm is exactly as described. All household items you could need are provided. The house was clean, comfortable, and perfect for our family of five. The beds & bedding were comfortable. If you are looking for a country get-a-way to escape from the city, this is it! All of the animals were nice and friendly to our children. The chickens, ducks and farm dog walked around freely and our kids loved interacting with them. Terri let our boys pick eggs everyday, and feed the pig.

It’s beautiful farm with great scenery and great hosts. We will be visiting again.

My husband and I recently held our wedding at Sylvanside Farm and words cannot describe how wonderful the experience was! The property is absolutely STUNNING, which you can tell from pictures, but in person it is like entering into a fairytale world. We had looked at other venues in the area, but once we saw Sylvanside the decision was made. I loved that you had so many sites you can choose from for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. We ended up having our ceremony in the orchard, cocktail hour in the stone barn, and reception in the poplar barn, and our guest commented on how they felt they got to experience the whole property.

Beyond just how stunning and versatile the property is, we can't say enough about how helpful and accommodating Terri and Jeff were throughout the entire experience. From the get go, they provided helpful guides for everything including a vendor list. While many venues we looked at had lists of allowed or required vendors, Sylvanside's list felt like a collection of experts that made the process of selecting vendors so easy.

Additionally, all the included items (tables, chairs, decor, furniture, lawn games) that come with Sylvanside are an INCREDIBLE value add and time saver! We went with the 46 hour package and being able to stay on the property the night before, as well as the night after the wedding was the absolute best decision we made!

To sum everything up, if you are wanting to get married in Loudoun County Sylvanside Farm should be your number one choice!

A very charming farm with amazingly done grounds and housing! We stayed for a short anniversary trip and could not have asked for more—views, hospitality, nearby things to do. Would 1000% recommend, especially in the Spring. Can’t imagine staying anywhere else where you wake up to clydesdales, a historic stone barn, and a cherry tree outside your window!

I recently photographed a wedding at Sylvanside Farm, and I have to say, it was honestly one of my favorite venues I've ever worked at! The property is spacious and perfectly laid out for a variety of portrait locations - my favorite was the little path between the barn and the lake. The light just GLOWS right there! The cottage house is spacious and neutral, perfect for getting ready photos and of course, the barn is just absolutely STUNNING!

But most importantly, the owners and staff go above and beyond to care for everyone that visits the venue - including other vendors, like me. Jeff, the owner, graciously hosted me for a venue tour prior to the wedding so that I could scout locations in advance, and Amelia, the venue coordinator, was friendly and approachable both leading up to the wedding and on the day of. I'm so thankful to have had the opportunity to work together, and would highly recommend Sylvanside Farm to any couple!

This is an absolutely stunning venue space. I've been photographing weddings professionally for over 14 years and there are SO many different looks and views all within 200ish yards. From Clydesdale horses to beautiful barns to a pond. It's perfectly picturesque. Not to mention the owners are great!

Got married at Sylvanside Farm last weekend and couldn’t have asked for a better weekend. Jeff and Terri were beyond helpful and take great pride of their farm. Charlotte, Luke and Zoey were also a huge bonus of booking your big day at the Farm. Deserves more than five stars.

Oh how I wish more of my friends were in the wedding phase of their lives because I need many more reasons to visit Sylvanside! We enjoyed the cottage after a rough week of work. We left the farm feeling completely recharged and eager to return. Their plush beds caused our entire family to sleep in, which never happens. The day flew by as we explored the property and visited with the friendly owners. We were amazed by the craftsmanship and care taken to restore the barns and the impeccable taste of the interior designer. The Hunt Box is a sight to behold inside & out.

Sylvanside Farm is such a beautiful location - and an especially amazingly perfect location for portrait photos. The owners and staff are super friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend this location for anyone looking for a wedding venue or for a stunning backdrop for your portrait photos during their off-wedding season.

Oh, and if you get a chance, stop by and buy some of their honey - it is so tasty!!

Sylvanside was a lovely place to stay! The cottage where we stayed is well-kept, is comfortable, and has lots of character. And the farm is an idyllic place. Terri was a great hostess, very responsive in answering any questions. Highly recommend it.
