Have I had an issue with delivering my package to the wrong house? Yes. Left a message and the Post Master called me and said that he would send someone right away to pick it up and deliver it to me. Mistakes happen. We are all human. Every time I go into the post office I have been treated kindly and professionally.

Easy in and out. A wheelchair ramp is available.

Some savage reviews on here...wow! I'm pretty surprised because this PO is great imo...unlike the city POs where the clerks hate their lives and you dread going in..the Howard City location has very happy, friendly, personable staff that are happy to help and go out of their way to do so.
These other reviewers are so hateful over minor things- I chalk it up to their unfortunate generation.
Don't let them get to you- ya'll are doing an awesome job ;)

I received a letter in the mail that my mailbox had to be moved. Stated that it needed to be moved to the end of my driveway and that it was unsafe for the carrier and myself at the current location. My mailbox has always been in this location, and is at the end of my private road so it didn't make sense that they would now want to drive all the way back to my house to deliver my mail. I figured they wanted it at the end of my private road with the front facing the public road. I called them to verify before I moved it because I didn't want to move it twice. I explained the letter, which they were aware of, and what I thought they wanted and the person on the phone confirmed with the person that created the letter that yes, it is supposed to be at the end of my driveway. So I move it to the end of my driveway and for days got no mail. I called a couple times and both times was told that the carrier would call me back to explain, but I never got a call. My wife finally went to the post office and there was all kinds of mail to pickup. They then said opps, we messed up and we mailed you a new letter to tell you were to put your mailbox. Well thanks! Kinda why I called before moving it the first time and second if you're not delivering my mail, HOW WILL I GET YOUR LETTER TO EXPLAIN THAT I NEED TO MOVE MY MAILBOX AGAIN? The only reason we got the letter was because we drove to the post office. One of the neighbors doesn't drive so luckily we communicate with him and let him know the letter that explains where he needs to move his mailbox for the second time, is in the mail that isn't being delivered. There was no phone call on their end to notify anyone of this issue.
We're busy with kids and I don't have instant available time to move a mailbox so my wife asked if they could deliver our mail to our driveway for a couple days so that I had time to move it and of course they said no.
This entire mess was the fault of the post office, yet when we talked with them they acted as if we were the reason our mail wasn't being delivered. Very poor service and communication!

Most recent review:
They are back to making me pick up my packages from USPS so now my rating is back to 1* unless they learn how to do their job again.

Updated review:
They actually brought a package up to my house instead of making me drive up to the post office which changed my 1* to 5*, thanks USPS & keep up the good work.

Old review:
If larger packages would actually be brought up to my house then the S&H paid would actually be worth it but I have to regularly drive up to the post office to then get a tracking notification that the item has been delivered. No it was not ! If you cannot deliver packages then don't except them, as simple as that. UPS & Fed Ex will actually bring the item's to my door because that's what the S&H is supposed to pay for.

Worst service EVER!! People are so rude. We needed our mail held for a month (people do it all the time going on vacation) but nope was an issue to do this for us. We sold our house and were looking for a new place and needed our mail. Gave us a hard time when we went to pick it up. So we filled out a change of address for a month and haven’t receive 1 piece of mail yet!!!! Total BS. Whoever is post master and young girl working up front are a joke!!!!!!! Glad I don’t have to deal with them again

Mail delivery drivers have a hard time closing mail boxes. Took me four years of constant phone calls to the postmaster AT the H.C. location and numerous reports right to the Main Postal service customer affairs to finally have my mail box closed on a regular basis. Was tired of wet mail or snow packed inside the mail box. I still see dozens of mail boxes still being left open with mail inside through out the community but the postmaster doesn't care unless the actual person of the property calls in a complaint.
Edit: lately mail is being delivered to wrong addresses. No one is answering phones at the Post Office and the doors are locked often during "open" business hours. You can see and hear there are employees there but doors are locked

Was absolutely AMAZING when Linda was there. She knew how to bring sunshine to each person that walked threw those doors. Not the same with out her. The new people do not do that. That do not take pride or joy in thier job nor do they care about in which manner they treat those who come in.

Lazy workers. Mail and packages delivered to completely different addresses. Mail missing and sometimes a week+ past the post date on them. Constantly getting fees for bills I never get in the mail or get way later. What's the point in getting mail.

Never can deliver and constantly lie about delivery status (I.e. mark it as delivered when it's not or mark it as can't be delivered when they didn't even try). It wouldn't be so bad if I could just pick my packages up at the post office but when I try it's not even there!
