Schenectady Farmers Market is on Sunday. Go grab some great snacks and food then walk up to the brewery for a place to chill and enjoy your market finds with some delicious beers.

I’ve always been a huge fan of Great Flats for a nice place to hang out and drink good beer but this weekend I had my wedding reception there and I can’t recommend them enough for a private event.
Harry, Ed and Mal were so helpful and obliging throughout the whole experience. We were able to add some personal touches to the great space that Harry has created. We had a food truck which worked out perfectly.
If anyone is looking for an awesome Schenectady venue for any special event I highly recommend giving Great Flats Brewing a try!

Really enjoyed everything about my visit to Great Flats - the beer was excellent, the vibe was great, and the bartender (shoutout Victoria) was so friendly and nice to have a conversation with despite being busy. My favorite beer was the Capital Common, but all of the beers I tried were good, even my usual least favorite hazy IPA was well done. Definitely my favorite brewery visited in Schenectady…hope to see their beers for sale in NYC someday!

We love the laid back atmosphere and really enjoyed having the huge doors open to enjoy the breeze. Love the beer!! My bf is super picky and will maybe if lucky, like one beer at a local brewery, here he loved every beer we sampled in a flight and so did i. Really recommend giving it a try. The new mango beer was also pretty fantastic!!

Awesome brewery! The beers are delicious and the prices are very reasonable. The customer service here is excellent as well. The tasting room is very clean and spacious. I highly recommend the barrel aged sour.

Very open air . No food but you can bring in your own.

They make quality brews and i love a good NEIPA but thankfully they are not all IPAs because there are other great beers nicely done.

So I am not sure what the make up of this was. I believe it was a sangria that was 10% alcohol. All I know I left this place feeling amazing 😊 the price was right. It is very chill environment. I can't wait to go back. They have a food selection of their own beers and other gems like the sangria that was seriously amazing, it was on tap too. Great staff and cool environment in a fantastic location. This a nice spot to bring a group of your coolest friends. Keep up the great work.

Low key, great beer, brought my 2 kids here so momma could nurse and have a drink after the farmers market. Music was excellent and sonic character of the space was NOT insanely boomy. Will definitely be back for both sensory perks, excellent vibe and quality beer.

The beer was excellent and I love the big open garage doors in the warm weather. Can't wait to go back!

If you have not already checked out Great Flats Brewing, you really need to! Their ingenuity when it comes to brewing beers is unbeatable (and delicious). I recently had the pleasure of trying their Rose Beer and Great Folk Sour, which were incredible! I am not a fan of super sweet drinks, and Great Flats absolutely nailed these ones. Both drinks are perfectly refreshing and crisp. A true 10/10 summer drink.

Great Flats Brewing is a killer spot! The staff is funny, knowledge and polite (which added to the already fun brewery experience). I am eagerly awaiting my next trip back!

Stupendous array of widely different brews. Fruity, hoppy, not hoppy, cider, applesauce. Well. No. Not applesauce, but every other kind of beer you might like. It's a brewery, so you are not going to find food unless you bring it or snatch it from next door, but that's true for breweries in the state. I like it for events. Bring in a steam table and invite 50 people and you will be happy. Do you have 50 friends? If not, feel free to invite me.

Great place to have a few beers and chill. Nice vibe, diverse crowd. Owners and bartenders are friendly and attentive. I have also attended several parties and events here and it's always been good. While they dont have a hot food menu there are lots of local places that will deliver there. Trivia night on Wednesdays with Casey is always enjoyable too!

Stopped here on the way to VT and was a great choice. Beer choices are unique and very good, atmosphere is great, and service was awesome. On a nice day look they can open up their doors to the outside which is another plus. Highly recommend... chocolate caramel stout was tasty and the summer pale lager was great on a hot day...

Came here on a Friday evening for some beers with friends. I was pleasantly surprised to discover 3 dark beers on tap despite the fact that it is summer! Each beer had something good to offer but their Midnight Patchy Fog was so good I took home a growler. They have garage doors which open, creating an open air atmosphere for folks like me who are timid to venture out post-covid. A great time was had by all and I look forward to returning. On my way out I spied a collection of board games too which I look forward to playing over a beer sometime soon.

A great place for a beer. They have a constantly rotating selection of craft beer which they make there. The restaurant which is in the next space over is great because you can bring your food back to the brewery and enjoy both. Their Dunkel Bock is my favorite dark beer.

Great beer and great people. Great Flats is the gem of Schenectady. It's family friendly and everyone here is kind and accommodating. My wife and I continually come here because we love the sense of community, the amazing beer, and the owners who treat you like you matter.
