Blue Heron Oyster House and Inn

Our server, Ron, was phenomenal.
I had the potato skins for an appetizer and the buttermilk chicken for the main course. Both were good - especially the garlic mashed potatoes.
The prices were a little high, but the portion sizes were good.
They were well staffed.
Minus 1 star to atmosphere because the music made it hard to talk at some points. But that was because we were right next to the speaker. Overall, the tunes were not obnoxious. And it seemed like they even had a bunch of nose cancelling ceiling tiles to help the room not be echo-y.
The bathrooms were very clean.

Wonderful menu and food. I had a rockfish special with pasta and asparagus. Perfect. Great crab cake (little pricey). Very professional service. Wasn’t rushed. Nice atmosphere. Small restaurant and doesn’t take reservations so be prepared to wait. Owners going wonderful job!

A must have is the crispy lobster tail small plate!!! I regret not taking a photo before devouring it! Flavored perfectly served with two different sauces. Simply the best! The oysters were a good start to boot 12 sampler of course! And in this pic is the steak n cake! If you’ve not been to this gem I highly recommend. We went as a family with my hyperactive two year old. They had coloring books to help! Love this place and can’t wait to go back. P.S. I hope Ron is your server he’s the best!

My husband and I have visited twice. Sunday late lunch hour is perfect for us. Not too crowded. Tito's bloody Mary's are great!! Although price on menu doesn't match price on bill. Still no biggie because it is still under $10 which is hard to find any where else in Kent County. First time we had sandwiches and were satisfied. Second time Matt had the oyster sampler and Maryland crab soup. I went for the Ceasar salad with Jerk chicken. For dessert by far the BEST carrot cake ever!! It was actually a carrot pineapple cake 😋😍 Definitely found our Sunday cocktail spot!!

Absolutely the best EVER! GREAT SERVICE, Great Good, Bar wine, Canyon Rd, yummy. After the hunk of Prime Rib, the huge Tomahawk Pork Chop w fine fried onions stacked on the chop, we were blown away! The oysters were great...I cannot stop dreaming abt this meal! Go early or eat at the tiki bar on the deck. You won't be sorry but...$$$$s!

Without a doubt the best restaurant in rock hall. We love sitting at the outdoor tiki bar in the summer time OR cozying up to the indoor bar in the winter time. The food is SO good. Have had most things on the menu and everything is delicious. I am addicted to the “bird is the word” fried chicken sandwich and my husband is addicted to the meatloaf. SO so good. We also love all of the seafood options (shout out to the bang bang shrimp!) Plus the staff and owners are the best. Highly recommend!

Thank you to Ron and the whole team for being so accommodating to our large party (no reservations but give these lovely folks a call) and serving up great food! We watched the Preakness here and it was a wonderful experience. Would recommend! My stake & cake was a perfect nice meal out in Eastern Maryland.

Fantastic restaurant. I am the type to look for something to complain about and was pleased to find nothing negative to say. Service was excellent and food was exceptional.

Menu highlights were the sweet tea, burgers, cucumber salad, and the best stuffed mushrooms I've ever had. Going back there tonight 👍

10 out of 10. Or rather, five out of five.
We dinghied up to shore, and everywhere was sooooo far to walk to. So we found the closest restaurant walking distance, which was this place. A lucky coincidence! This place was the best spot to stop at. Awesome food, great staff. Recommend the peanut butter pie. Or whatever it was that tasted like a giant Reese’s pieces.

This is a great Sunday spot and date night spot! We sat for a few hours and enjoyed superb oysters and small plates - boom boom shrimp and crab flatbread pizza. We were not rushed and we wanted oyster shooters and asked about it. They did not have them but made them to order for us! Mmm mmm good! Thank you John and Robin!

Ron was excellent as our server. The staff was so attentive and didn’t miss a beat to clear empty plates or refill beverages. The food was phenomenal. Cannot speak highly enough of this establishment.

Stopped here early Sunday afternoon. First, Ted and Hannah at the outdoor bar were on point! Great service that would make John Taffer proud. Food was excellent. We had seared tuna nachos and split the Grouper BLT. They were delicious and perfectly executed. Kudos to the kitchen staff. Even the fries were hot and crispy. Thanks Blue Herron. The only recommendation I have is that you open a restaurant in Havre de Grace please.

My sister, and I ate dinner there tonight. I was very impressed with the food l, and even more impressed with our server. His name was Ron. I have to say he was one of the best servers that I have had. Very kind, and extremely knowledgeable with everything on the menu. He went above and beyond, and looking forward to going back again.

Great little place! We loved the Drunken Crab Cake so much...we came back 2 nights in a row!

Dinner was really good. Everyone is super friendly and attentive. Highly recommend this if you are in Rock Hall. Not on the water it the food is better.

Restaurant was clean and bright. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful.

I ordered the steak and cake (filet and crab cake). The crab cake was outstanding and the steak was the best I've had in years.

And Ron our server was informative and right on with every recommend suggest
A really great time highly recommend

Best meal that I've had in a long time!. Service was great! Kevin is doing an exceptional job with this venture.
