Big Dan's Smokin' Barbecue

Dan and his wife greeted me and gave me the rundown (it was my first time there). They were kind and clearly extremely knowledgeable. The brisket was delicious, flavorful, and neatly packaged
If you're in the area or even close, stop by at Big Dan's! If I could, I'd eat here at least once per week.

Brisket was the best brisket I have ever had. Hot sauce had heat and amazing flavor. Cornbread was moist, delicious, and a perfect pallet cleanser after the brisket. Definitely the one of the best barbecue places in town.

Wow! Incredible. Brisket was a real crowd pleaser. You can smell the smoke. Had the Mac and cheese and cornbread both of which were amazing. Mac and cheese had that perfect bite with the jalapeño chips. Cornbread was moist and slightly sweet. Will be back for sure

On Saturday I ordered 3 lbs of beef brisket and an order of their baked beans. Having never tried here before I was a little skeptical. Let me tell you it was some of the best brisket I ever had and the beans were delicious. This isn’t a sit down restaurant so all the food is to go but you won’t be disappointed.

I just had my first BDSBBq experience and want to share some of the experienced "problems" with the cuisine...

First off, it smelled good. I mean, really good. I had just finished my lunch when my son came home with the bounty..."here you go guys.." I have been doing well on my calorie count by meal watch and wanted to postpone sampling till later...but that aroma kept wafting underneath my NY nostrils in a most compelling way.

I succumbed. Took out the fork and manhandled it. It doubled down on me...this delight was BURSTING with flavor...
flavor - i remember that from back in the day...

so now i have decision issues...do I stuff more in my mouth or take my time and let it melt..i compromised and did a little bit of both...i am not a spice loving kindaGuy, usually avoiding heat and garlic when i can...but this was so perfectly crafted that I am planning a full lunch with some adult beverage...

Don't tell the vegetarian son who brought this home for his brother and me, but I did sneak a forkful of his mac 'n cheese.
It was a handful of Heaven.

This review is not part of a promotion. In truth I am acquainted with Big Dan, but that only feeds my enthusiasm for relating my story...i could have said the usual "hey man it tastes good".

There are political consequences to consuming. It may change one's mind if you're considering becoming a f/t vegetarian.

I ordered 3lbs of brisket and a tray of burnt ends for my daughter's graduation party.They delivered the deliciousness for our family the day of the party and my whole family enjoyed every bite...TY Big Dan!!!!

This place is a hidden gem with exceptional southern style bbq. Generous portions as well. Recommended as a place to try anytime of the year.

There's not much you can say negative about Big Dan's. In fact, there is nothing negative you can say. Food is amazing. Pulled pork was smoked to perfection. Would highly recommend as there are not many good BBQ places around. This is a must try!!

So today me and Lisa Hallmets-Burgher decided to go try Big Dan's smokin' BBQ with our friend John O'Hare . It was delicious as you can see by the pic. We ate all of it. We tried the BBQ pork combo & the brisket combo. Amazing, tender, with a nice peppery touch. Mouthwatering to say the least. The sides were coleslaw, baked beans, and cornbread. All delicious. 4 thumbs up from me n Lisa! Get down and try some. Open Fri , Sat, n Sundays at 220 Sheridan Ave off Fillmore.

Delicious brisket. Thank goodness something worth eating in the area. I should have taken a photo. I had the brisket combo with sides of slaw and cornbread. Yum yum!

Really good barbecue! I got the brisket sandwich with beans and coleslaw. The sandwich was great, and both of the sides were delicious.
