New York Diner

Bacon egg and cheese sandwich is incredible!! Bacon was perfectly crispy, egg cooked over medium, and the roll is also perfect. Not to hard, not to soft with just the right amount of crunch. And the corned beef hash is another smash hit. Perfect crust and tons of flavor. Go-to breakfast spot in Murrells inlet area!! And the waitress was awesome too!!

We've been looking for a diner that served homemade food just like mom and this is the place! I had scrambled eggs, bacon and homefries. The bacon was perfectly done and crispy, not tough! The homefries were sliced potatoes with crispy edges. Hubby had the French toast and bacon and it was delicious! We can't wait to go back and have lunch! New York Diner is a hidden gem!

I have very much enjoyed going to this diner for the past 14 years. There are a variety of excellent meals from which to choose. In particular, I really like the fish and hot French fries. The Greek Omelette with toast and crunchy potatoes with sausage links are also favorites. The prices are reasonable, and the coffee is great. It is a very friendly place so I don’t mind going alone.
The atmosphere is pleasing and the decor had a recent renovation.

Small mom and pop place, server is always friendly and even when busy, on top of it.. owner is always there and always with a smile on his face.. Our go to breakfast spot

Waitress was phenomenal - portions are large. The home fried potatoes were crispy and done perfectly.

Food is special. Best French toast! Service by people who care and the owner is watching. You can eat here, keep your dollars local and get in and out about as fast as "the golden arches."

I came here with my girlfriend, and we had a great time! The food's great and the staff treats you like family. Being 23; I can't believe that I've never had the pleasure of eating here. It was a dining experience uniquely different than anything I've found across the strand.

I'm gonna start this off by saying, yes, I am a Yankee. I'm from the north(Mass) but this place felt like home. Fast and personable hosts, and wonderful food. They have a mix of classics from the north and the south on their menu (Plus cheap prices!!) It surprised me when I asked around and everyone said "Oh I've heard of it" or "Oh I've drove past that" but no one has stopped in! This place is worth the stop. Highly recommend. I plan on going back in the near future. 🙌😊

Locally owned family diner thats been here for years. Always a great spot for breakfast or lunch. This day I decided to get the French Toast deluxe and as usual it was delicious.

Clean, cozy diner. I forgot to take pics of our breakfast, I was hungry LOL. Hours right now (9/16/2020) are 7a-2p. Our breakfast was hot and delicious. I had the spinach and feta omelette my husband had eggs benedict. I recommend this diner for a casual relaxing home cooked meal.

Got the Gyro to go and its really good, the fries were crispy too! To top it off it was fast and the lady at the front was really sweet! The price was also on point. I will be back!

Breakfast was great! Ham, eggs, and home fries. They've also got steak, pork chops, and a host of authentic New York style dishes. Friendly staff. Reasonable prices. You need to try it!

Absolutely amazing breakfast and lunch!
We’ve been there for our weekend breakfast about 20 times over the last year and I would never give each experience less than 5 stars.
Happened to go for lunch a few times and that was just as awesome!!!
Breakfast favorites? Western omelette, farmers omelette, French Toast and pancakes...
Lunch favorites? Philly, patty melt, Monte Cristo and club.
Service is always top notch and we will continue to go to this diner instead of the hundreds of “pancake houses” throughout the Grand Strand!

I went to the diner for the first time today and was very pleased. The service was good, and my sandwich was excellent. There's plenty of parking at the diner and their location just off route 17 makes it very accessible, especially since they are near a light. I will definitely go back.

Sometimes when what you crave and what you hope aligns perfect, you're just happier. That's this NY Diner. A very traditional diner-diner sans the metal exterior. Really could be in Jersey (ah, but no Taylor Ham, thus "New York"!) Anyway it is lined with booths, and tables for larger groups, and the tantalizing cake tower behind glass; the register at entry, and scooting-about wait staff who are just interested enough to wait on you with kindness, and answer questions ('everything is good here'). And while our everything good was tough to choose from their ginormous menu, we chose a Philly Steak, and Gyro. Fries came with this. And perfect. Filled sandwiches, excellent textures, nothing chewy.. The Philly's torpedo style roll was incredible; light, crisp, and didn't fall apart. The tzatziki was so darn rich in just-right thickness, and perfect flavoring. And the darn fries. Oh we're fries-folks. Crunch! Crunch!
This was our first, but we're in this area every couple weeks and while we're also enjoyers of Cracker Barrel near here, oh! Nope: we have our new place!

Had a great breakfast here! My wife and I both enjoy coming here for lunch as well. The service is great too. Looking forward to next time.
