We couldn’t be more thrilled with our choice to have our wedding at Thompson Inn & Cyderhouse. This venue goes above and beyond and is absolutely turn key requiring little to no prep work from the couples! It was such a stress free process and our wedding weekend was so epic and amazing. The ability to stay on site at the Inn makes an unforgettable experience for your bridal party and makes it more of an experiential weekend rather than just one big day. The food by Chef Alex is top notch and incredibly impressive while being delicious and fresh. We received so many compliments on the food- not your average bland wedding food!! Lauren and Hailey were incredibly helpful in making sure the whole weekend went off without a hitch and made sure to facilitate fun while also having a handle on the structure of it all. I would absolutely recommend this venue, book here!!!

We had a January wedding at the Thompson Inn and have nothing but amazing things to say about it. Lauren Ingle made planning everything so so easy and walked us through it all from start to finish, as well as keep the weekend/big day running seamlessly and stress free. The grounds and buildings had a perfect cozy New England winter vibe without being too "Christmasy", the food was incredible, and there's tons of places for great pictures (even in the winter). We even were blessed with some beautiful snow which turned into a storm the night of the wedding, but Kyle and the staff kept all the grounds clear and everyone safe. Having so much lodging very close by made it super easy for our out of town guests, and our friends in the wedding party loved getting to stay right on the grounds in the Inn for the weekend. We couldn't have asked for a better wedding and are so grateful for The Thompson Inn and all the staff and employees that worked so hard!

We cannot say enough positive things about the Thompson Inn! Living in North Carolina but planning our wedding in New Hampshire (due to most of our family still living up north) we had both sets of parents tour the venue and have us on FaceTime so we could take a tour with them and we knew immediately that this was the perfect venue for us! They have made the entire planning process so easy! Since we booked with the Thompson inn we didn’t have to worry about finding a place to stay, transportation for the wedding party, catering, a day of coordinator, and access to a closet full of décor that has been left behind from other weddings! We only had to worry about hair/makeup, DJ, and photographer, florist, which Lauren (day of coordinator and point of contact) had incredible suggestions for people she has worked with in the past. It made everything so stress free and well organized. She was so responsive to any questions we might have had and it was so wonderful working with her! Having the inn so close to the cyderhouse made the day so much easier for getting ready and having our wedding party all in one place and having access to the entire property for the whole weekend was amazing. It was also very nice having breakfast provided each morning to have one less thing to worry about! The food all around was absolutely incredible all weekend, our guests are still raving about how delicious everything was! I would 10000% recommend The Thompson Inn and Cyderhouse to anyone who is looking for a venue!

The Thompson Inn is nothing short of magical. From the very beginning The Thompson Inn was a place that felt both incredibly welcoming and incredibly professional. Their event coordinator Lauren Ingle is incredibly communicative and entirely supportive of whatever vision you might have. It was obvious that the staff operate as a team, and on the day of our event, the team support was seamless. UNH Extension hosted their 4-H Teen Conference banquet at the Cyderhouse, with over 150 teenagers, adult mentors, UNH leadership and 4-H Foundation and a visit from Governor Sununu. They allowed us to make the inside space our own, with greenery and a photobooth, and set up outside for small group seating and cornhole! The Italian buffet and coffee just never stopped, nor did our dancing and joyful teenagers. Thank you so much for helping us create a night they will never forget!

We attended a fabulous wedding at Thompson Inn. The ride in passes a lovely river that has swimming pools. The actual setting is magical. There is a lovely Inn and a charming event hall. Our wedding had over 170 people. The servers worked very hard and succeeded in providing a well executed event. The yard has plenty of space where guests mingled and socialized. The nuptials were under a tree grove. It was quite special. If you are seeking an event space I do recommend Thompson Inn.

We had our wedding celebration and ceremony in early May 2024. We could not have picked a better venue for our special day. Lauren and team were absolutely amazing! When we when to go see the venue originally Lauren came out and welcomed us with open arms and we immediately fell in love with everything. The Inn is so charming and the perfect place to have all your favorite people. The Cyder House provided the best environment for all our loved ones to celebrate with us. The food was some of the best we have had and the grounds are always well kept and breath taking. Don’t look any further. The Thompson Inn is amazing in all aspects.

We could not have dreamed of a better wedding venue than the Thompson Inn. The grounds, Inn, and Cyderhouse are stunning, the planning process was seamless, and the food was amazing. Our guests couldn't stop raving.

Views aside, the staff truly made our experience exceptional. Everyone was kind, professional, and incredibly helpful. The coordinator especially made planning easy and made sure everything ran smoothly on our day.

Having exclusive access to the entire venue for the weekend was also a fantastic perk. We were able so set up everything on Friday and enjoy a stress-free wedding weekend with our friends and family.

We had our wedding at the Thompson Inn on 07/02/2022. This weekend was nothing short of magical. Every aspect of our experience with the Thompson Inn was spectacular:
The grounds, the food, the staff, the planning meetings, the rooms, everything. We toured the Thompson Inn in the winter while it was covered in snow - it was beautiful even then. When the wedding day came and the flowers were out I knew we couldn't have picked a more beautiful backdrop.

I loved that we had the venue to ourselves the entire weekend. From check-in on Friday, to the rehearsal dinner, to getting ready the day of and breakfast the morning after, we never felt like we had to rush out for the next event or cross paths with people that we didn't know. Stephanie and Lori made us feel welcome, part of their family and like we were the only wedding on their mind every meeting and all wedding weekend long.

Lauren was our day-of coordinator and she was fantastic. When our wedding day came I didn't have to worry about anything other than enjoying the moment with my family and bridal party.

If I could do it all over, I would pick the same venue over and over again.

The Thompson Inn & Cyderhouse is hands down one of the best hidden gems of southern NH, and every year it gets better! I was fortunate to photograph one of the first weddings on the property back in 2017 when the beautiful barn was just being framed, as well as the first wedding in the barn. The property is idyllic, with huge shade trees -- including where ceremonies usually take place -- and a lovely garden and fire pit in the side yard. And if the barn is beautiful, the well-appointed Inn is spectacular. The owners have put so much care and attention into making the perfect spot for brides, grooms and their families and friends! I can't think of any other venue like this in the area, that also has easy access to large towns like Dover and Durham, where you can stay on-site, host a dream wedding, and be so well taken care of throughout the whole process. Don't overlook this gem... you won't be disappointed in the least!

The Thompson Inn and Cyderhouse was literally the first place we visited when looking for our wedding venues. Keep in mind, my wife and I are super indecisive and take a long time to make a decision. However, we knew the Thompson Inn was our place immediately. Lori (the owner), along with Lauren and Stephanie (planners and organizers) made us feel valued, communicated frequently, and informed us throughout the entire wedding prep process. The venue itself is all inclusive, meaning between the Cyderhouse and the Inn they have everything you need. The Cyderhouse has a beautiful reception hall, a full cooking staff, and a beautiful wine cellar for the rehearsal dinner. The reception hall was the perfect size for our wedding of about 125 people complete with a full bar. The Inn is about 50 yards away which we rented for the entire weekend and it housed the complete wedding party. The inn has a full kitchen, dining area, and bar. Each guest room has a full bathroom and is very clean. Between the inn and the Cyderhouse are two huge beautiful trees which we got married beneath and a fire pit is just adjacent. We had access to this whole area all weekend and it was truly an incredible experience. Highly recommend considering this venue for your wedding or next event!

We had our wedding 9/10/22 at the Thompson Inn and we couldn't be happier! The Thompson Inn is a personalized wedding experience! Having the venue from Friday - Sunday made the experience for us! It was great to have every aspect of our wedding occur on the property and took away the stress of moving from place to place.

The property is meticulous maintained. From the Inn to the reception hall to the grounds and it shows! There is so much care put into the maintenance and up keep of the property. Every visit someone was adding a fresh coat of paint or tending to the florals around the property.

The staff is beyond incredible! Lori and Stephanie made us feel so welcome from the start and answered our millions of questions. As we came closer to the wedding, Lauren helped with all the coordination and made sure everything happened exactly as we anticipated. Arielle was an amazing coordinator! She worked so hard and made everything happen seamlessly day of. She really made our vision come to life! We can't thank the team enough!

Guests are still raving about the food! Alex is a talented chef! He allowed us to customize our menu to exactly what we were looking for and more! The farm to table style and using produce that is in season was a huge plus for us.

We will never forget the incredible weekend we had here at The Thompson Inn. If you book your wedding here, you will won't regret it!

My husband and I had our wedding at the Thompson Inn at the end of April. From the moment we stepped foot at the venue we knew it was the place we wanted to get married. We fit about 130 guests very comfortably, could definitely fit more. The Cyderhouse is gorgeous. This is where we had our cocktail hour and reception. We also had our rehearsal dinner in the basement wine cellar which was incredible! The inn itself is so cute, has 10 bedrooms, including a bride/groom suite on the top floor. We had our closest family members stay at the inn with us and had such a nice time. They give you the place to yourselves and there is plenty of room for lounging, including the outside deck with chairs that is so peaceful.

The food was 10/10. Chef Alex is incredibly talented and you can feel his passion for his work. I have a gluten allergy and he made sure everything on our wedding day was clearly labeled and I had PLENTY to eat and so much to choose from. He made me homemade ravioli and it was to DIE FOR. The breakfast served at the inn every morning was phenomenal, home cooked and different every morning (made delicious GF pancakes one morning). I can’t say enough good things about Alex and the culinary crew at the Thompson inn.

All the staff was also incredible. Every single one of them was so kind and made sure we were comfortable and having fun. Lauren is the coordinator and was our primary communicator during the planning, she is amazing at what she does. I also want to mention Hailey, Ian and Elizabeth. They all work their butts off to make sure everything is perfect for your special weekend.

I would suggest this venue to anyone looking for their wedding. Cannot say enough good things. Thank you Thompson Inn for all you did to make us feel at home!

I had my wedding weekend at the Thompson Inn early December and it was the easiest and best decision we made. As soon as we toured both the inn and cyderhouse my husband and I knew we found the perfect place. On top of how pretty the venue is, the staff is absolutely wonderful. Lauren and Stephanie were so accommodating and helpful throughout the whole process. They both went above and beyond to ensure we had the best weekend of our lives. Alex made some of the most delicious food we've ever had and our guests keep raving about how much they loved their meals. The chicken & biscuits and short ribs were a huge hit! Having the inn so close to the cyderhouse made the day so much easier for getting ready and having our wedding party all in one place. It was also very nice having breakfast provided each morning to have one less thing to worry about, and of course Alex had amazing food available like maple scones. The venue is great for any season. We already can't wait to go back and visit in the future for the events they hold between hosting weddings. I can't say enough good things about the Thompson Inn and their team, I highly recommend them!

Choosing this venue was the best decision we made throughout our entire wedding process. Lori, Steve, Steph, Jen, and all of the people at The Thompson Inn & Cyderhouse are wonderful, easygoing, and highly skilled at creating the most lovely New England wedding weekend, even amidst the pandemic changes we navigated together through 2020-2021.

Guests at our wedding literally described the setting and day as "idyllic" and we could not have been happier. From the peaceful New England farm / riverside setting and the gorgeous foliage to having family stay with us all weekend at the beautiful restored inn and having the easiest wedding flow across the beautiful, photogenic property, everything was perfect.

As icing on the cake, the food was delicious with big portions and a harvet autumn feel we were looking for!

Attended a wedding here. A rustic and beautiful venue. The staff was attentive and definitely "on top of their game." The food/catering was tasty and food trays were never allowed to go empty before being restocked.

I attended a wedding this past weekend at this venue and was blown away with their performance as a fellow hospitality operator. We hosted our wedding at the Thompson Inn in October 2023. They are the real deal - our wedding was everything we dreamed of and then some. Lauren Ingle was great to work with! The food you recieve is truly the food that is served the day of your event. Chef was super flexible and came up with the most delicious seasonal menu for our special day. The waitstaff, bartenders, and other staff who were working the day of our event were also great to work with. We highly recommend the Thompson Inn & Cyderhouse for all your hosting needs for every occasion!!

Look no further than The Thompson Inn and Cyderhouse for your wedding. My husband and I are originally from NH, but currently live in St. Louis. We booked The Thompson Inn from a FaceTime call with owner, Lori; through the screen we could tell that this place and its people are something magical and we were right! From the initial booking to wedding weekend, the team at The Thompson Inn were kind and immensely helpful. The weekend itself was like it was out of a dream. We had the entire property all weekend long, giving us ample time to decorate, celebrate, and spend time with our family and friends. Post-wedding many of guests reached out to let us know that it was one of the absolute best weddings they had attended, and that the food was amazing. An exact quote from my (now) brother-in-law, who stayed onsite over the weekend, while eating breakfast Sunday morning: "I'm really sad this is my last meal here, so I am savoring every bite". Yes, the food is THAT good - thanks Chef Alex! It was truly the best day ever, and I honestly do not think it would have been as great as it was if it were not for the venue and its amazing staff. Special shout out to Lauren and Stephanie for being so organized and so genuinely kind - thank you for helping to make our day extra special. If we had to do it again, we would book The Thompson Inn over and over. It is a beautiful oasis that is all yours for the entire weekend.

This place was awesome. Can hold "standing" weddings up to 200 people. Food was excellent and servers were very friendly. The only downside that I saw was that the bathroom only had two stalls...not very good throughput for an open bar wedding. Often lines to use the restroom. I believe the Inn is undergoing full renovations. Would recommend this place
