Millie's Homemade Ice Cream

It's my birthday and I went here to get ice cream because another ice cream store that I drove by wasn't open today. There wasn't any line so I got ice cream quickly. I told them it's my birthday and they were nice enough to give me a discount. I got the very mango and cookies n cream ice cream. They were sooo good! The ice cream shop is also decorated nicely in pink and very clean. They had many special ice cream flavors for those that want to try something different than the regular vanilla and chocolate flavors. Thank you for the great ice cream on my birthday!

I had my baby shower catered with the to-go option. It was ready by the time i needed it day of my party. Also it came with more than enough toppings and some great presentation. The ice packs kept the ice cream frozen until it was ready to eat (despite the heat wave)!

p.s. Keep the red velvet gob as a permanent flavor!

From the inviting neon pink glow to the nostalgic ice cream shop feel, Millie’s in Lawrenceville brings out the inner child in everyone! The decadent ice cream is absolutely delicious and there is always a delicious new flavor to please your pallet! The staff is incredibly friendly and professional, especially Big Rob and Grey! Their energy and excitement make the visit to the shop an even sweeter treat. Be sure to stop by!

Fantastic ice cream. Honestly some of the best I've had in any city! Came here with a friend while visiting Pittsburgh and was blown away by the quality.

The service was also excellent. The person behind the counter walked us through the ingredients in the various flavors and helped us try a few we might like.

What an enjoyable experience! I wish we had this place down in Texas. Fantastic customer service, and ice cream that tastes unbelievable. The employees did not have ear buds in, or constantly checking their phones, I had their full attention, and they were patient with me. The owners were so friendly and intentional during my visit, I will continue to come back to Millie’s when I travel to Pittsburgh. The joy and kindness radiates from them. It’s a different atmosphere when you are surrounded by people who love what they do. I can’t wait to surprise my wife when I have it shipped down to us. Thank y’all so so so much.

My new favorite ice cream shop! I stopped in to get a few pints and it was such a great experience. The staff that was working was so kind and helpful and they let me sample! The ice cream is so delicious. The patrons were also super friendly. I also liked that they had a table with crayons and coloring sheets for the kiddos. It made my day!

Great flavors with helpful staff. One of my party had a gluten intolerance. Not a problem. She got a dairy free, gluten free ice cream. I tasted it. Surprisingly, it was really good. A first! Would definitely return.

This Millie's location is probably my favorite! It's bright, clean, pink! 😂 We visited to try the 75th Anniversary Eat n' Park flavors and boy are they good! 🍦 The Pistachio Fluff flavor was my favorite. It's dairy free, creamy and the flavor combo with a freshly baked waffle cone is perfect. These flavors are very limited so I suggest visiting soon to try them but any of Millie's classic flavors are tasty too. 🍨 My favorite classic flavor is Mint Chip. It could possibly be the best Mint Chip I've ever had.

The guy working was funny, attentive and knowledgeable. He clearly enjoyed his job and made out experience wonderful. He had a smile on his face the entire time he served us.
They offer samples before you commit to a flavor. Everyone in my group of 4 got a different flavor and none of us were disappointed.
The building is beautiful and a perfect spot for pictures while visiting the city.

Amazing ice cream and extremely kind employees! 🤍✨🚕💕 The prices are so fair and the flavors are so creative. $9 for a well packed pint is a great deal and I’d recommend the red velvet and smores flavor.

Look people already know this place is great but I wanted to add to that. The ice cream is fantastic, the people who work there are fantastic and they have comfy chairs outside where you can sit and enjoy your ice cream while people watching.

If you’re driving here good luck there is basically zero parking around here because it’s a popular area so if you walk or bike ride you’ll have a better experience.

Milkshakes and scoops were delicious. Service was quick and they were so nice. Coffee Break milkshake was A+!!

I love the pink. The ice cream is amazing. The aesthetic is so bright and cheery. It is one of the cuter store fronts on butler. I always see familys there and their restrooms are gender neutral. You could go shopping, get lunch, get ice cream
And this particular area is nice to eat outside at on their chairs. It’s a fun place that my friends with kids often go to for birthday partys. It’s pink, it’s ice cream, it’s perfect.

The guys in the shop were so friendly and patient as we tried a thousand flavors. I ended up getting a flight (five half scoops) of Tea Time, Honey Cake, Between the Seats (I don’t even like coffee, and yet!), PGH, and Let’s Get This Bread (which is if banana bread were in ice cream form). Obscenely delicious. The ice cream is rich, flavorful, all of those good things. Its a super local company, everything made and processed in-house including the milk, so if you’re in Pittsburgh don’t miss out. I’ll be back.

Some of the tastiest dairy free ice cream I have ever had! I have never been to an ice cream shop with such consideration for food allergies. There was a chart detailing whether the ice cream, topping, or cone contained eggs, nuts, soy, dairy, etc. They carefully separate tubs and wash utensils to ensure the safety of patrons. The ice cream itself was incredibly flavorful and creamy which is hard to find dairy free! The person who served me was cheerful and welcoming on top. I’m so happy I found this shop and will definitely be back!

A fantastic little ice cream shop with amazing ice cream! The owners and employees are all wonderful people and a trip there is enjoyable every time.

One special thing is that they are even accommodating with food allergies and are happy to advise on what goes into their products and are aware of how to safely handle it to avoid risks! Couldn't be happier to have them be a short drive away.

My favorite! Delicious ice cream, great community atmosphere, warm and kind staff. We come often and always have a great experience. We've gotten to know the staff and they are wonderful. I highly recommend a scoop of vegan bananas foster and vegan brownie batter together. Heaven.

My kids and I love this cute little ice cream store. The staff is so friendly and the flavors are amazing! Even if you don’t need dairy free don’t skip the dark chocolate brownie batter!
