Vells Soul Food with a Twist offers a great dining experience with some delicious Southern food. I LOVED the chicken and the Mac and cheese – both were incredibly flavorful and satisfying. The portions are very generous, ensuring you left with a full stomach lol.

The only downside was the service, which was a bit slow due to being short-staffed. However, the wait was absolutely worth it for the quality of the food. If you're in the area and have a bit of patience, Vells Soul Food with a Twist is a must-visit for anyone who loves soul food!

Nice little Black owned hidden gem. Friendly smiling staff, the owner was awesome as well. Check them out great for family gatherings also. I give BIG RESPECT to VELL'S TO keep the atmosphere clean & fresh and no drama as the sign is posted outside the restaurant. So go sober to enjoy the good Food. The carryout was BUSY ON THE SATURDAY WE WENT! #IMPRESSED

Tried Turkey Ribs for the first time it was tender and delicious . Mac, yams, Southern Style Green Beans were delicious and homemade! Cornbread was store bought, so not my fav. Soul Roll (1), was good but not for me. Lemonade also was missing for my order so I can’t rate that. Overall would order again.

What an amazing experience! My husband took my 2 yo and I here for a quick meal. It was beautiful- home environment. Peaceful, clean, extraordinary customer service. I don’t even want to call the people there staff because clearly their heart was in everything they did. Every single person we saw greeted us, smiled, was super nice… oh and the food was really really good and flavorful! I had catfish nuggets Mac and cheese and yams, my hubby had chicken gizzards fried chicken fries and green beans.even the tea and kool aid was good! I had a really nice experience! Thank you 💕

I'm not going to lie, I drove past this place for years until one day my brother took me there to get something to eat because they have $1 hot dogs, overall their whole menu is very affordable, and the food tastes good.
We ordered 3 Beef Hotdogs, 1 Hamburger (all the way) and 3 drinks. For just $14. I would definitely eat here again. And I recommend you check it out also. I forgot to take pics because I was too busy stuffing my face. 😂

Delicious food! Variety menu. Clean atmosphere. Friendly staff! Big plates of food! I ordered the boneless grilled pork chops with potato salad and greens, sooooo good!!! Highly recommended! Kids loved their food and ate every bite, too!

My second trip out here I ordered the fried boneless chicken breast, green beans, and black eyed peas and was not let down! Ask for hot sauce to cover your chicken in! Best sweet tea around, too!

I order the turkey ribs for the first time and MAN these things are good! I LOVE the sauce. I ordered here often. I’m obsessed with the Soul Rolls and the young girl working the cashier has amazing customer service.

This place was hands down 5 star for me and my family! Beyond delicious food and friendly staff. The soul rolls were a yummy unique twist on egg rolls stuffed with baked beans, collards, macaroni and cheese, bbq sauce, and other things. Fried chicken was perfect. If I lived closer I would eat here every week!

The food is great! I love how seasoned it is. The fried pork chops cuts like butter with a plastic knife. I will definitely be back

Food slaps, straight up! Collards greens got a 10 fish a 10. Regular Chicken wings flavor slapped! Make sure you find it if your near concord and Kannapolis!

I absolutely enjoyed the food and service! I was referred to Vells and was surprised I had never heard of them . They are like a kept secret. I had turkey ribs and various sides everything was perfect. Highly recommend eating here. 💯

Two really big pork chops with large portions of Mac and cheese and fried okra. Tastes like no other. And yes I had to stop after the first bite to do a review. Will absolutely be returning !!

Definitely worth the 30 minute trip from Charlotte. I ordered the catfish fingers with green beans and yams. The catfish was pretty good, but the tarter sauce was a bit sweet and warm... not so sure about that. The green beans were excellent and the yams were made from scratch. I enjoyed my first meal and am looking forward to the next visit.

The food is delicious and fresh. Good customer service. This business definitely gives you enough food for the price. Clean. Friendly. Will definitely come back again!!

Food was plentiful, tasty and hot. Only draw back is not having the flexibility to order the particular pieces of chicken that you eat like 2 thighs.

Picked up catfish nuggets with mac & green beans, turkey ribs with mac & yams, and strawberry crumble cake. BOMB! Will definitely return
