Mazatlán Mexican Grill and Bar

We recently had a Mexican and it wasn't any good or authentic, I needed to find a better one. We came across this restaurant in our way to 6 flags. We loved it. The staff were really friendly, great atmosphere and omg, the food to died for. We ordered a lot. Steak tacos🌮 , Nachos, fajitas and enchiladas. Every dish had flavour and tasted great. The size was a good amount. The drink omg delicious we had sangria and the coconut mojito the best. Honestly check it out, you won't be disappointed.

This is a great little Mexican restaurant located across from Bradley airport. It would be the perfect spot to get a pre flight meal and margarita, or while waiting for someone to land you can relax with a cocktail instead of circling the airport terminal.

We had so many amazing dishes. We started with their wings and some guacamole for the chips. The wings had the hot sauce on the side so you could make it as spicy as you’d like.
The guac was very fresh and tasty.

I had the chicken and steak fajitas, the meat was tender and flavorful.
My husband had the street tacos, there were 5 to an order he was able to get a couple el pastor and a couple steak. Both were great and he had some leftover which he used in eggs the next morning. Still tasted great.

Definitely recommend trying them out!

I came here with my family and the service was AMAZING! This is by far the best customer service that I’ve had in any restaurant. The amount of food is huge, one plate can easily serve two people. And again, the customer service was top notch!

Came here after a flight around 9 and I'm glad i did. First off this is pretty unique at least to me for a mexican joint as they didn't have a regular taco menu nor a burrito menu. I felt like i was missing all sorts of my go-tos. I landed on carne asada, flan, and tres leches. My dinner came out hyper fast i mean it was like minutes. The plate was huge and tasted really dang good. The flan was really good, a nice amount of carmel sauce on it. The tres leches was a little weird to me. Had a different consistency in the cake and didn't seem like a normal tres leches. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't the greatest. Service was awesome even though i know they were closing soon. Overall i was pleasantly surprised with this place. Definitely check it out!

We had the salsa and chips for the complimentary appetizer and my wife had the fried red snapper whole fish and I had the cod. Tacos with the salsa rice and salad they were both delicious and we both had the house margaritas with our meals which were humongous. Our host gave us a complimentary dessert which was choirs with chocolate sauce. We will defiantly be back to try their other choices. Thank you Miguel for an excellent meal.

We went in for dinner and it was an awesome experience. They are very attentive and fast when it comes to sitting you on a table and giving you drinks. The staff are very nice! When we say we were given chips, beans and salsa. The free chips were great! It was warm, freshly made, and a lot. The free salsa had great flavor and my only suggestion from someone who doesn’t like spicy food is maybe tone down the spice in the salsa. When our food came it was very flavorful and a lot. We had al pastor and carnitas tacos. The bean soup was really good flavor. The tacos are big portions and great balance of meat and veggies, very yummy too! The best part is they have a live mariachi band that’s really good. It’s definitely a place that we will go back to for Spanish food.

Steak plate was delicious! So was the drinks! Service was fast! !

I have been to this restaurant a few times since it opened The last time was for Mother’s Day and like each other time, the food was tasty and plentiful. In the past I have the combination of 3 dishes of tamale, burritos and chimichangas. This time I chose the vegetarian spinach enchilada dish that came with rice and black beans. The Spinach enchiladas here taste better than other Mexican restaurants. It is seasoned better. Also the rice was tasty and beans were good. I was pleasantly full after eating my meal and also enjoyed the replenisable tortilla chips ,dip and salsa provided as an appetizer. Our waiter, Philiberto,was very attentive and nice. He even provided a complimentary dish of assorted appetizer for our table and wished me a Happy Mother’s Day. This type of wonderful service made my party of 5 people very happy and impressed. We all enjoy returning here for the delicious large plates of delicious food, fantastic service and happy atmosphere at this restaurant!

Stopped in on Sunday around 2 pm for a table for 3. Was greeted kindly and seated quickly. Place is still new and fresh and clean. Great atmosphere to have a meal and some drinks. The menu is Huge with a lot of choices. Took me a few minutes to figure out what I wanted. Even had pictures on the menu showing tye dish. Portions are Very generous for the price. Meals come with chips and salsa and beans. Will be going back to try more food.

First time here and it won’t be our last! Awesome experience, our server was very kind and very attentive. I love that they bring salsa and beans with the chips. Horchata was really good, me and my boyfriend shared the birria tacos, which were so delicious and flavorful. Portions are huge! We were both full even though we shared it. Will be back

This Tacos Birria is amazing. It's the Mexican answer to a French Dip Sandwich. Absolutely delicious!

This Is by far the best Mexican food I have ever had. I was a little skeptical with it being so close to the airport but no this place is legit and absolutely delicious. Service incredible, everything I ate incredible. Margarita well balanced . I'd make the drive out here just for a plate of their rice and beans 10/10 will be dining again and you should too

This place has amazing service at a great price. Really loves the food here. I had the street tacos and some coronas and it really hit the spot. Cant wait to go back here again. Nice to have a good restaurant in the airport area now.

I'm a resident of Windsor Locks and the building that is now Mazitlan had been a continual doward spiral for the former Friendlys. My family and friends had been waiting awhile for them to open and it was worth the wait.
My first visit was with my mom and we had some great drinks and food. Margaritas and chimichangas for me and cheese enchiladas for her, we also had a love complimentary saucer of beans with chips as well as a few shots courtesy of our guy Philly. As we finished up a few people had a birthday and the song was fun and engaging. Also we received free churros and then my mom threatened me of a birthday song. Everything was great! 🍹🌮🌯

First time here at Mazatlán and it was great! We sat at the bar and Gabe was amazing making sure we had everything we needed. The food was great (I ordered the burrito bowl) and it was a big portion too!
