Taqueria Atexcac Restaurant Mexican Food

I read about this place as a hole in the wall place to eat. When I knew I was going to Deleware for work, I thought I would stop here. When I got to the address, I thought I was at the wrong place. It is connected to a cell phone place next door. It looked really small and I thought this could not be it. At first I thought I would not honing, but believe me when I tell you, do not let the looks fool you. This was the most authentic Mexican food I have ever had outside of Mexico. The restaurant is actually pretty big inside ascot is behind the business next to it. The food was amazing. When the chips were brought to the table, I had Never seen chips with refried beans covering them as well as cheese. I only ordered the burrito a la Mexicana. It was so flavourful. The table had a beautiful colorful carving on it and the walls had amazing artwork. I would highly recommend coming here if you are in town.

First impression could deceive, but once we got inside it was fantastic, the food was delicious and timely, price was a good value. Try this restaurant!

Way more food than I expected (this is the Burrito Veggie platter) great flavor, salsa with the table chips was delicious and super spicy if you’re not ready for it.

Almost passed this place since I saw Uhaul trucks, but so glad we stopped. You can’t tell from the outside, but there is a ton of seating in the back and all of the staff was super friendly!

Update: Their food is still good, but the attached menus I have are now out of date. Although, it's still the menu they give you, but you'll be charged more than what is listed.

I admit, I just left rather irritated. We ordered, and after having my food handed to me, I was told that we can't bring our water bottle in. No outside food or drink. Okay, that's fair, except when you order a water, you're given a cheap store brand water bottle, and they charge you a few bucks for it. We knew that for a very long time, so Everytime since the first time, we've brought our own water in our reusable bottles. So all the years of doing it, now it's apparently a problem. It soured my otherwise good meal.

So by all means, try this place, it's good. But you get nickel and dimed at every corner.

P.s. The funny thing about them having an issue with us bringing in our own water, I ordered another drink, and still hadn't gotten it.

Easily my favorite place for Mexican food. Authentic, delicious, and affordable. Sometimes the language barrier gets in the way, but whatever you're handed is delicious anyway. Highly recommend.

I've been visiting this restaurant for approximately 6 months now. The incredible food and super friendly staff keep me coming back. If you haven't checked it out, definitely stop in and get yourself a meal. I could eat here every day.

Some of the most delicious food ever! We started with the tilapia ceviche tostada and we ate it so quickly I couldn’t even get a picture, it was fantastic! Our server recommended cemitas and it was absolutely delicious and a huge portion. The parrillada consisted of hefty portions of skirt steak, chorizo, grilled peppers and onions, Oaxaca cheese, avocado, and tortillas. The side of beans was amazing and tasted super fresh. We also shared a massive horchata Aqua Fresca, very yummy!!

This is authentic Mexican. Hole in the wall kind of place. Great serving sizes, at a great price.

This place is literally soo good !! The best tacos in Delaware 10 out of 10 💯. The outside looks very deceiving but once you go inside, it’s pretty, nice atmosphere and the staff is super nice and friendly.

This may look like a uHaul rental place but you walk past the store into an adorable Mexican atmosphere. Salsa is spicy but delicious! Portions are easily more than one person can eat. We'll be back!!

Really excellent authentic Mexican restaurant. You wouldn't think it looking at it from the parking lot. We had the pastor, chicken and carnitas Mexican tacos and they were excellent, some of the best I've ever had and I've had a lot! We also had the cemita asada which is a huge and delicious Mexican sandwich.

The food is top notch. After I sat down to order they broight over chips with beans and cheese on it and a tray with three different salsas. They were all spicy and delicious. I got the biztec azteca for dinner and it was a huge portion and delicious!!

Food came out fast and it is not a very large place with a small parking lot so I could see it getting packed sometimes.

This place is GREAT. Always has a steady flow of customers coming in and once you try the food you'll see why. The green salsa is to DIE for. The reason we keep coming back is how reasonably priced everything is! Certainly add this place into your rotation.

There are some good Mexican restaurants in the area but I can say this place is unlike any of them (see pic below). The Burrito a la Mexicana was delicious and beautifully plated. Very friendly and fast service. Only thing missing is alcohol. Regardless, I will be coming back to try more items.

Truly authentic and amazing food in a cozy little indie shop. Come here on Tuesdays for $1 tacos, or any other time for their extensive menu.

Food was delicious, great costumer service, great prices, I didn't get paid for my review as an other person said in her horrible review... I will definitely come back when visit the state again.

Best tacos I've had. Didn't realize they had a food truck on Kirkwood highway right next to Panda Express. Highly recommend!! 🌮
