You can't miss this place. Their choice of flavors has reduced since COVID but there is new flavor added every now and then. The ice cream scoops are huge. Bring your empty stomach.

A must-visit ice cream+ store if you are visiting MSU campus! I had the Spartan Swirl milkshake (I believe this ice cream flavor used to be called the “Sesquicentennial Swirl” previously). It was really good! They also have a dozen other flavors and they are all good. During the academic year they also have soup during lunch! There is no seating inside so you just have to grab and go or eat/drink outside. No cash.

A must visit spot if you're in East Lansing. Hands down the best ice cream I've ever had, especially served in one of their famous waffle cones.

This is a must stop if you are on the MSU Campus. The ice cream is rich and creamy. Prices are reasonable. The only issue seems to be limited parking and no seating. But, if you haven't been here, you should!

This is the best ice cream store I have ever been to. It is also way cheaper than most of the other places in the area. If I remember correctly, a double scoop in a waffle cone is around $5, which is a great price. This is a must see location for anyone in east lansing.

Love their ice cream! Bought 3 quarts: expresso, peppermint, strawberry for our adult sons Xmas holiday visit. Will be back for summer visit.

Brought the family here while in town to visit my daughter that attends MSU. This was our first visit. The ice cream was delicious. They also sell some food and beverages. Highly recommend.

Very good ice cream. They have rotating flavors so you never know for sure what they'll have on a given day. They also have soup and macaroni and cheese ready to serve, and grilled cheese sandwiches only on Fridays (wish that was every day). Macaroni was very good. Loaded potatoe soup was fine. I had the banana chocolate chip ice cream and chocolate ice cream with a fresh made waffle cone. Excellent!!! They also have two outdoor seating locations - in front of and behind the building. They also have overflow parking in the back of the building.

First time here and loved it! Such delicious Ice cream. Will be back to try new things!

First time here! Ice-cream was quite good! Pretty fresh. Quite the choices too. I got the "Candy Bar Coma" [Kit-Kat, ButterFinger, Snicker?]

As a die hard U of M fan it’s hard for me to type this. “It was really good”. I know Mel Tucker hasn’t tried it because if he had his hands would have been wrapped around a pre-packaged container of Butter Pecan instead of wrapped around another package. No one gets mad at a late night picture of ice cream.

Our Corvette friends and I all decided to spend Friday evening with a stop at the dairy store. Business was hopping and the weather was perfectly suited for the dairy store ice cream. I had plain chocolate ,which the dairy store has blended to perfection, served on a still-warm waffle cone. We got there right at 7 pm and barely beat the rush of other customers who came in behind us . Dairy store is a hidden gem on the campus, and a delightful go-to stop here in East Lansing.

Absolute best ice cream that you will find ANYWHERE! The portions are generous and the staff is friendly. I recommend getting the Spartan swirl. The only thing to keep in mind is that parking is limited.

If your on MSU' s campus, you have to stop by and try some ice cream and pickup some fresh cheese.

I love this place. So many varieties of ice cream! They're priced well for being on campus! Definitely a must visit!

**HUGE TIP BEFORE REVIEW!!!**: If you are reading this before you visit The Dairy Store, and you have never been there, GO TO THE LEFT OF THE BUILDING. Especially on hot days! 9/10, they have a huge line inside, so if you want to Grab'n'Nab some ice cream and not deal with a huge line, go to the ICE CREAM TRAILER ON THE LEFT OF THE BUILDING. Review: MSU (Michigan State University) feels like a city on its own, and debatebly seen as the Heart, Soul, and Pride of East Lansing. They have their own student run power plant even. So, it's no surprise, and an even more soft and heart-felt welcome that when it came down to agriculture, that the students should be the one pulling the stops, learning the trades, and running the show! The Dairy Store has been in the community for a long time, from Cows to Milk to Product, students are there every step of the way, persuing not only a degree, but a passion to bring smiles to the community.

The Dairy Store is a small shop built into the MSU Dairy Foods Complex building on Shaw st, but don't let the official brutalist name fool you. This place is packing some serious good eats; from Cheese to Milk, to even it's well and deserved to be known Ice Cream. Walking in is a bar infront of you of some folk-lore and sports-related fueled flavors of ice cream like The Izzo's Malted Madness to the Dantonio's Double Fudge Fake, to even more related flavors such as Blue Moon or Cookie Dough. Making homemade warm waffle cones on order to freshly made ice cream. There's never a place quite as sweet as this.
