Chapel Hill Carriage House

Chapel Hill Carriage House is such a beautiful venue! As a wedding photographer, I've shot a few weddings here and I recommend this venue to anyone looking for their perfect location to host their wedding in the triangle. The outdoor, open air chapel is my absolute favorite - and the venue has animals that our couples get to take photos with which always makes my heart so happy!! The owner, Brenda, is the sweetest person - you're in great hands if you choose to host your wedding at the Chapel Hill Carriage House!!

This venue is not only stunning, but the support and attention to detail you receive is so special! It rained on our wedding day, and the venue staff immediately jumped in and worked so very hard to make it exactly what we dreamed it to be. Mary Kay is a powerhouse wedding planner, and Brenda and her husband maintain the grounds so well. I cannot recommend this venue higher!

Chapel Hill Carriage House was the perfect venue for our wedding! We toured several venues in the Chapel Hill area and this venue really stood out to us for the beautiful landscaping and open-air chapel as well as the owner, Brenda, who was extremely helpful and professional. We are so impressed with the venue staff, including our wedding coordinator, Mary Kay, for their assistance with planning our wedding and their behind-the-scenes support and coordination on our wedding day. They are so easy to work with and they made the planning process so fun! One of the many perks of getting married at the Carriage House is the inventory of linens, signs, candles, water coolers, umbrellas, etc that they have available for you to use if you want to. We cannot recommend the Carriage House enough!

Our wedding experience at Chapel Hill Carriage House was incredible! The grounds and scenery were beautiful, providing an amazing setting for our special day. Brenda was incredibly helpful and flexible, and it helped make our day so much more enjoyable. Our guests had a great time, enjoying the beautiful surroundings and our surprise guest, Abe! We couldn't have asked for a better experience and highly recommend them for weddings.

I attended a wedding here over the weekend and the venue was absolutely breathtaking. The staff was attentive and kind and the goats and the llama during cocktail hour were the cutest touch. The grounds were so beautiful, I couldn’t get over it. Perfect place to have or attend a wedding.

I can’t say enough about how wonderful the chapel hill carriage is! My now husband Greg found it during our initial venue search. Brenda, the owner, was able to give us a tour right away and we new it was the place for us. If you’re looking for a venue that is gorgeous without adding a thing this the place. We were able to have both the ceremony and reception there, which cuts down on logistics and gives more time for fun. We were supposed to get married in 2019, but we all know what happened. Brenda was great, she allowed us to move our date to 2020. They have a beautiful “chapel” area, and then the lawn party area is set up with games like cornhole, outdoor jenga, putting green complete with putters and balls, and hula hoops (even our Dads were doing it). The venue runs like a well oiled machine, but you feel like family through the process. Our guests said it was the most fun wedding they’d been too. Would highly recommend! And I almost forgot you can have Abraham Lincoln, the llama, join the cocktail hour.

I can’t express how AMAZING Brenda and Mike (and their team) are and how the CHCH is the perfect wedding venue. I met with Brenda over the summer when looking at wedding venues (and I looked ALL over the Triangle area) and I could tell immediately that Brenda was down to earth and loved what she did. The venue is absolutely stunning. There are gardens, flowers, a lake with a water fall, fountains, beautiful mature trees – all of which Brenda and Mike take immaculate care of. She also has a farm with goats, chickens and an alpaca named Abe. You can tell how much Brenda and Mike take pride in their property and gardens. If you want an outdoor type wedding, then the CHCH is the place. They have lawn games (putt putt, checkers, corn hole, ladder golf), they bring some animals out during cocktail hour and there are so many different locations were you can have the wedding (chapel, fireplace, oak tree, etc) and several photo locations. My wedding guests said that this was the most beautiful wedding they had ever been to and said it fit us perfectly. Brenda even lets you view a wedding so you can see what goes into the set up and how things are run during a wedding. It’s bring your own alcohol and you can use your own caterer (we had a pizza food truck!). She gives amazing suggestions on vendors, seating, wedding flow, etc. I wish I could have my wedding all over again just to spend more time at this venue. I truly owe Brenda and Mike everything since our day was absolutely PERFECT.

Brenda and the rest of the team at Chapel Hill Carriage House were absolutely incredible! They paid attention to the small details of the wedding that I was photographing plus I got to have an inspiring conversation with Brenda about how much she cares about the work she does. As a wedding photographer in Durham and Chapel Hill, this was a wedding venue that I highly recommend for simple yet elegant weddings.

This was a beautiful venue and actually the ONLY venue I toured with my husband, because of the very cute animals! Is it a risk having an outdoor venue? Yes but it was worth it! It was blazing hot and sunny on my wedding day in late April (80+F and barely a breeze), and we got married in an area with no shade. I was wearing a long sleeve dress and it was still ok! The shaded barn area was perfectly cool and everyone was so comfortable. The bathroom was a mobile one but it looked like a building from the outside and apparently the AC in there was amazing! The greenery, pond, and natural beauty meant we didn't need to set up too many decorations! Brenda also has a lot of decorations from past weddings you can use, so you don't need to buy! She also allowed us to rent linens. The lawn games were a fun touch as well! The ground is also quite solid and walkable in block heels- I walked it after a heavy rain the first time I went to the venue and it was fine! All in all a great place for a wedding!!

I love hosting events at the carriage house! The owners Mike and Brenda are so kind! The grounds are beautiful, the animals well cared for, and the big barn/tent structure is large and beautiful!

An absolutely gorgeous venue and experience! Such lovely people, they’ve truly created a personal and intimate atmosphere. I would recommend this place every time.

The Carriage House was an incredible venue for our daughter's recent wedding. Brenda and her extraordinary staff were just amazing. Despite a brief downpour, the wedding was perfect.

The guests came from all over the country and many commented on the beautiful venue, which included an outdoor chapel, beautiful lake and petting zoo, in addition to the carriage house dinner and dancing area.

The people involved were just awesome! From the rehearsal on Friday afternoon to the 8:00 AM hair/makeup session and dressing in Brenda's lovely home, to the actual ceremony, the day was wonderful. When the rain and high winds started, the staff was right there with towels, umbrellas and consoling words.

We highly recommend The Carriage House as the perfect wedding venue!

Choosing the Chapel Hill Carriage House for our wedding was the best decision we could’ve made!! It was the very last venue we visited out of maybe 9 and I was getting a little bit frustrated because I knew that there had to be a “whole in the wall” place that I was missing out on and I’m so glad that I didn’t give up! We fell in love with the Chapel Hill Carriage House as soon as we stepped onto their pristinely kept grounds and beautiful barn area. Brenda is the owner and she is exceptional at what she does! Her husband Mike owns a landscaping business so they always have the most beautiful plants and flowers around the whole property for your guests to enjoy! (Side note: I saved so much money on flowers because the barn & bar area is so darn cute already. All I had to do was throw some simple greenery, a white rose or two and some candles on the tables and it looked amazing.) Brenda was a lifesaver because I didn’t have enough greenery and she was so nice about it and let us cut some straight from her plants. She has a lot of decor leftover from previous weddings that she will let you use as well. She is the best!
They also have goats, alpacas and various other animals on the farm. We got to hold some baby goats for our bridal party pictures and the alpacas came out to entertain during cocktail hour! We had many people tell us that ours was the best wedding they’ve ever attended and a huge part of that was this venue. With something for everyone and such beautiful grounds you can’t go wrong! Our guests loved the outdoor area and almost everyone was outside mingling around the flower garden, playing yard games (she has lots of selections,) or taking selfies with Alpacas during cocktail hour. The barn is so pretty after dark, it’s decorated with tons of twinkle lights that stay there year round so you don’t have to worry about getting all the pretty lighting up yourself either. Perfect romantic setting for dancing and fun! I could go on and on about how it is just the perfect venue. It exceeded what we were looking for and I’m so thankful that we found it! It is a special venue to find, being so reasonably priced and with such kind owners. We got married in my church and had the reception here, but the outdoor chapel is gorgeous as well. I highly encourage you to go check it out, I cannot recommend the Chapel Hill Carriage House enough! We had the best day of our lives there! ❤

AMAZING venue for a wedding. The owner, Brenda, is truly amazing and so generous! She loves her animals and take such great care of them and the property. The property is truly so gorgeous for a wedding. Not only is the property gorgeous, the bridal and groomsmen suits are spacious and comfortable. I highly highly recommend couples to check out this property for their wedding!

A beautiful out-of-the-way venue southwest of Chapel Hill. Everything was first class in a very nice setting.

This venue is a hidden gem!! The grounds are absolutely beautiful and expansive (the owners are professional landscapers as well). The owners, Brenda and Mike are amazing to work with and bend over backwards to make your occasion special. They hosted our celebration of life this past weekend, which was a challenge given our new social distancing requirements, but they pulled it off perfectly and safely. I am now trying to think of an occasion to celebrate there since I can't wait to book with them again.

Every detail of our wedding at CH Carriage House was perfection! Brenda and her crew (Mary Kay Root was our day of coordinator) were so accommodating and helpful with all the COVID changes we needed to make! I was able to go to the venue multiple times leading up to my wedding to plan layouts and go over details. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and truly don't need extra decorating. Brenda also allows you access to her decor and accessories, saving me lots of money. Our guests commented over and over how beautiful the venue was! Their staff was so helpful and ensured that I did not do anything the day of my wedding! If you're planning a wedding, you need to do it here!

My husband and I got married here in September 2018 and I cannot say enough about how wonderful the experience was. The venue itself is absolutely stunning, and Brenda and her staff are fantastic to work with. We had so many guests tell us that it was the most beautiful venue they had ever been to! Brenda was extremely responsive, flexible, and she and her staff made the day completely stress free. If I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would. Thank you to Brenda and her team for giving us the perfect wedding that was better than we could have ever dreamed of!
