I've been going to Dr. Gill at Longmeadow for several years (today being the most recent), and I've always had a great experience. Over the years, every Front Desk team member I've interacted with on the phone and in person has been helpful and efficient. Every technician who has taken my health history and performed preliminary tests was pleasant and knowledgeable. Last but not least, I completely trust Dr. Gill to get my complicated progressive eyeglasses prescription right, and to monitor my eyes for all the conditions people in their sixties are susceptible to. (If I ever need to hear that I've got an eye disease or that it's time for cataract surgery, I hope that Dr Gill will be the one to deliver the news to me. She would do that with compassion, with patience to make sure my questions are answered, and with authority based on her experience and a deep knowledge of optometry.) Highly recommend.

Was in terrible pain and was seen same day by Dr Gill. She was amazingly considerate and took great care of me, no wonder this place gets amazing reviews and I’m more than happy to contribute one.

Dr Gill is very detailed and a true professional. I highly recommend her. She managed to get me a prescription for my dry eye (prior authorization needed) the same day she saw me. I have been asking for this through other doctors for TEN years now! Her office staff were organized and pleasant. They have a great selection of eyeglasses including Ray-Ban, Michael Kors and Kate Spade.

My normal eye doctor was on vacation and something was wrong with my right eye. I called Longmeadow and they took me in immediately, it was less than an hour after I called! Thankfully I came in and didn’t wait til my other doctor came back from vacation. Dr. Gill was so nice and calming. She prescribed me some antibiotic eye drops and I should be good as new in a week. I can’t express enough how thankful I am they were able to see a completely new patient on a moments notice. I’m considering switching doctors now because of how great and expedient the service was.

I receive excellent eye care here for my annual exams. There is always little or no waiting time. The technician (Ian) who works on eyeglasses for you is super helpful and will go out of his way to help you pick new, or repair existing, eyeglasses. The Front Desk staff are friendly and helpful. Dr. Gill is very professional and knowledgeable.

We were referred to Longmeadow Optical by a good friend of ours, and we are very impressed with Dr. Gil and the staff at Long Meadow. She is thorough, professional and very personable. She and her staff deftly and competently managed the exam of my 80-year old Mom who is suffering with early stages of memory loss and dementia with grace and compassion. Dr. Gil was also excellent with my husband who hate eye exams, and Claudia helped him select very stylish titanium frames which are not only great looking in also very durable. Overall, the experience was terrific and we will definitely continue to get our annual eye exams there.

We always have amazing Care at Longmeadow Optical. Dr. Gill take the time to explain everything. And we never have trouble getting an appointment.

We also have had wonderful service from Ian in the glasses Department. My eight-year-old went through five pairs of glasses in one year and with their warranty policies and their specials we only had to pay for 3.

Dr. Gill is the most thorough eye doctor you will ever see! She takes her time and is genuinely concerned about the overall health of your eyes. Ian is also so friendly and knowledgeable when it comes to glasses. Highly recommend this practice! My entire family has been going for nearly 20 years.

Had my first ever eye appointment here. Wanted to go somewhere local as everyone told me to avoid the chains. I felt very welcome from the moment I stepped in, and Dr. Chen did a wonderful job explaining everything to me. The two lovely ladies at the front desk also helped me pick out my frames when I was so indecisive and they were so patient and kind. Would definitely recommend!

I have been using Longmeadow Optical for 20+ years. Dr. Gill is professional and thorough. Answer all my questions directly. Defers and confers when appropriate to do so. And instills great confidence. The office is very well run and staffed with pleasant and professional personnel .

Always a positive experience. Dr Chen always takes her time and is extremely thorough both in the exam and her explanations. The staff without exception is friendly, attentive and efficient. I always leave knowing I received great care.

I've been a patient of Dr. Farbman for many years before his retirement last year. Over the years he and Dr. Gill have nurtured a very professional yet personable experience for their patients. The recent exam with Dr. Gill was very thorough and consistent with the previous exams with Dr. Farbman. The office staff is great and obviously get along well with a good working relationship. Their office location is very comfortable and easily accessible off Rt 15. The exam started within minutes of my arrival and I was done in less than an hour. Routine eye care providers are usually not difficult to find, but Longmeadow Optical is a great group of professionals who treat you well.

After trying another practice because it was covered by my insurance, I returned to Longmeadow Optical knowing that the service I would get there is superior despite the fact that it isn't covered under my insurance plan. All the staff are top-notch, and Dr. Gill in particular is very thorough and professional. If you want the best, most reliable eye exam, go to Longmeadow Optical.

Dr. Gill and the front desk ladies were all so welcoming. I had a hard time finding a great eye doctor after my last one retired. But I can finally say, this is a great fit! Dr. Gill took her time and was very thorough!!

Dr. Gill was friendly, efficient, and thorough; Lab manager Ian Harding made a helpful fix to my frames without even having been asked; the people at the front desk were also friendly ( and only laughed at me a little for forgetting to pay and having to come back in from my car). All in all, an excellent eye exam experience.

My husband and I both love Longmeadow Optical. Wonderful doctors and staff make you feel very welcome and cared for. They are especially great for anyone who is new to wearing glasses, lots of helpful advice for adjusting to them (and choosing the most attractive frames, which is hard for some of us!)

Have been going to Longmeadow Optical for decades. Now that Dr. Farbman has retired my optometrist is Dr. Gill. Like Dr. Dawn Farbman, Dr. Gill is thorough, friendly, skilled and conducts the exam in a straight-forward efficient way. The staff is friendly, helpful and possess a sense of humor. It is obvious they enjoy working there. (This is NOT always the case with Dr.'s offices.) Ian Harding, the lab manager, is always very helpful and is highly skilled in helping to insure your new glasses are a perfect fit. He takes his work seriously and exudes enthusiasm and care for his clients. There is an excellent range of frame styles. They are also helpful in adjusting the fit of the glasses when need be. That is very helpful when and if everyday life sends them askew. I enthusiastically recommend this practice without reservation. Rest assured you'll enjoy your visit and return again and again for stylish, well-fitting glasses.

We stick with Dr. Gill over the years even though she is out of network with our insurance now. It's worth extra to us, for sure. Her eye exams are very thorough and she is so patient and kind, and wonderful with children too!

Dr. Gill is the gentlest and most thorough optometrist I've been to. I have very sensitive eyes and she understands completely and now since going to her I don't worry and am always at ease. I would NEVER see anyone else. Highly recommend seeing Ian in the glasses and frames dept too.
