Sterling Optical - Frederick

I went to Sterling optical for the first time and had a fantastic experience. Dr. Amedeo was friendly, very thorough, and addressed all of my questions and concerns. I never felt rushed in my appointment. Natalie was tremendous in explaining my results to me, and my options regarding lenses. She was very patient and sweet with my elderly father, who was accompanying me, who also had a lot of questions.😊 I will definitely be coming back for future exams.

Dr Amedeo is wonderful and gives a great eye exam. The office staff is warm and inviting. Jenny made picking out my frames easy and fun. I will be back year after year.

This is a great place. Kaitlyn helped me today and she was incredibly kind and knowledgeable. This is my second time visiting and I’ve been so pleased for both visits. Highly recommend!

I have been using Sterling Optical for my eyeglass wear, prescription and for my eye exams! I am completely satisfied with Dr. James Amedeo and will continue to use Sterling as long as he remains the doc there, he is excellent in every way! I have a good relationship with the entire staff to include Tommy, Jennifer and all the others but my memory is bad and I forget all of their names but have a particular fondness for all of them and they are great fun, competent and I’m always very very pleased with everything! I recommend their business to anyone needing eye care of any kind!

This was my first time at Sterling Optical. The Optometrist, Dr.Amedeo, was very thorough in his eye exam. He explained each step of the process clearly. My exam was one of the most comprehensive exams I have experienced and would highly recommend him. The staff at Sterling Optical was equally as good and focused on attention to detail in selecting my frames, making sure that I was completely satisfied. I definitely plan to return in the future. I would highly recommend Sterling Optical.

I visited Sterling Optical in Frederick Maryland twice recently, and received excellent customer service by Julie on both occasions. She was very patient, helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. I was made to feel that I could ask any question and be given a detailed and thoughtful response. The store was able to order an eyeglasses frame which I had seen online, and the store offers great coupons. I feel comfortable about purchasing eyeglasses there, and I would certainly recommend the store to others.

During this first visit to Sterling Optical I found the staff very friendly and welcoming. Dr Amedeo and the other Associates including Schaffer, Jennifer, and Tommy are very courteous and professional. Jennifer was very helpful from the selection of my frame to taking measurement and going over all the pricing details with me. She offered great recommendations and explanations. Over all, my expectations were met and I can't wait to see my new eye glasses.

Sterling Optical - Frederick has very kind, considerate, and helpful staff. Dr. Amedeo is also fantastic! He clearly communicates what he is doing during the eye exam and with his sense of humor and witty quips the appointment is quite enjoyable. Sterling Optical - Frederick is definitely the best optometrist that I have seen in my 20 years of wearing corrective lenses. Well to start with the Doctor is GREAT. Been to a dozen of eye doctors over the years and this guy is by far the best. The staff and office manager were very nice and knowledgeable. Had a concern with pricing and payments but it was quickly corrected. I drive past numerous other eye doctors to visit this place and hope you will too. I highly recommend Sterling Optical in Frederick.

I moved to Frederick recently and I was looking for an optometrist to get an updated prescription. The doctor was very thorough in the eye exam and the staff were all so kind. I decided after 20 years of wearing glasses I wanted to try on contacts and everyone here was very patient with me as I continually had to come back and try several times. I am happy with the service I received and I'm looking forward to coming back for my yearly eye exams. Thank you all for your patience and advice on contacts 😊

I have been going to Sterling Optical to see Dr. Amadeo for 29 years. I think he is the best and I won't go anywhere else. Tommy is very patient and helpful and always makes you feel like family. This visit Natalie helped me and she was very sweet and helpful. She is going to order in some frames for me to try on so I get what I want. They go above and beyond to help their customers. I have heard people say that they cost a little more. I'll leave you with this....you get what you pay for. I've never had a problem with any glasses for the 5 people in our family that wear them. They are the best!

I chose Sterling Optical because of their ease of access and because of their high ratings and positive reviews. A quick visit to their location will help anyone see how friendly their staff are. The doctor was very thorough with a good sense of humor and timely efficiency. My wife and I were able to have our exams quickly and select frames easily. The frames they have on display often have many style options, and the staff is more than willing to help you select the best style and pair for your needs.

My wife had no trouble finding her new glasses but I sure did - which is no fault of theirs at all! For whatever reasons, I was only able to see a small window of focused vision at a distance. The doctor did another exam for me and they offered to contact my previous provider to verify my prescription to try and find a reason for the issue. They ordered new lenses for me three times and eventually we opted to try and entirely new frame that allowed for a better shape to the lens to adjust the optics to allow me to see from a much larger focal point window.

My eyes were clearly not easy to find a solution for, but they never gave up helping me, and were friendly and helpful the entire time. In particular, Nan and Tommy were immensely helpful and I am so very grateful for their investigation into a working solution. They charged me nothing for the extra work involved despite new frames and at least 3 different lenses, and I have recommended them to half a dozen others since. They deserve 10 out of 5 stars for their effort, professionalism, selection, prices, and comfort. Thank you very much. I'll return as often as I can!

This was my first visit to Sterling Optical. I was thoroughly impressed with the entire experience. Dr. Amedeo is personable and I was completely at ease with him. I have fairly acute anxiety, so this is high praise. He also explained why I have certain issues with my vision -- previous eye doctors have not provided me with this level of information. Heidi helped me pick out frames that fit the shape of my face. She very quickly caught on to my personal style preferences and not once did I feel rushed to make a decision. (I needed several new pairs of glasses, so this took a decent amount of time.) I will definitely go back next year for my annual eye exam.

This optical center is fantastic with a wide choice of lenses. They take the time to explain things to you. As someone who only started needing to wear glasses 2 years ago, alot of this is still new to me.

Dr. Amedeo is excellent at his craft. He was far superior to the other optometrist I had visited 2 years ago.

My only regret is that I could not afford the $800 eye glasses that I liked best (frames, prescription lenses with the blue light blockers). Even the generic brand was more than I could afford. So I went to Walmart.

But I would definitely come back here again for the exam. And if I had the money, buy their eyeglasses.
