Exceptional service! I was expecting to drop the guitar and leave it, but Keirn started working on it immediately. He made the necessary adjustments on the spot while I waited and had the guitar playing better than ever in just a matter of minutes. He explained and showed me everything he was doing while he worked. Not only did I get my guitar repaired, I learned a lot as well! He creates an exceptional experience for his customers no matter how minor the job and price.

Anyone looking for an honest shop for guitar repairs, maintenance, or parts should absolutely check this place out. Keirn is extremely knowledgeable with all types of guitars and setups. His prices are more than fair for the awesome work that he does. Never again will I take my guitar to any chain store. Keirn’s service is second to none. I bought a new high-end Fender Stratocaster and needed a few adjustments, in addition to wanting locking tuners installed. Honestly, I was nervous to mess with it myself and it just wasn’t playing like I’d hoped. When I brought it in, he took the time to explain exactly what each adjustment would do for my guitar and even gave me the option to do some of it myself to save on money. Honestly, I’m glad I just let him do it all. Keirn made so many fine adjustments and explained everything to me. This guitar plays like a dream now.

He understands the ins and outs and mechanics of the guitar like no one I’ve encountered before. I always leave the shop feeling a hell of a lot more informed than when I walked in. I’m just grateful to have someone like him working on my instruments. His rates are so unbelievably reasonably, it’s no wonder his clientele are as loyal as can be. At the end of the day, he knows that every guitar player is different and wants you to be 100% satisfied with your instrument before you leave his shop. I wouldn’t trust my guitars to anyone else!

By the way, his shop is adjacent to his house. It looks unassuming when you pull in and up the sloped driveway, but it’s the place!

Wow. I was in a fix, with a machine head that suddenly stopped working, work in a couple of hours, and a gig the next night. Keirn was recommended to me, and I was able to go to Lucky Pick, get the repair done, and get back to work on time. Not just quick - careful work with all sorts of helpful advice while he is working. I will be bringing my guitar back when more work is needed

Keirn runs the shop and he is a genius. He can repair, restore, paint, create anything with strings.
His attention to detail cant be found anywhere else in the DMV.

I had my guitar serviced here probably about 10 months ago. Thus earning the title of Master Procrastinator. Though in any case, I brought my guitar here to have some work done on the pickups and tuning peg of my Les Paul. The service was nothing short of phenomenal. I really do wish I could remember his name (10 months), but the repair guy did top notch work. Plus it was waaaay way cheaper than Music and Arts/other chains would've charged. I'm really sad I hadn't found this place sooner.

5 stars is not enough. I have to say that the experience that I have had with Kiern and Lucky Pick Guitars is simply the best of the best. Kiern has rebuilt guitars, refinished guitars and basses, mandolins and banjos, custom designed logos and inlay and recreated epic construction dating from the beginning of the 1900's all with the most engaging fun and interesting conversations that I can remember. I can't wait to go there again.

Keirn is a act class.I live in another city and I will only take my guitars to him.He set up my Epip LP and it took its tone to a new level!!!When he sets them up they play like butter!!! In addition he is a gentleman of the first degree and cool dude!!!Highly recommend him!

Awesome experience. Expected to leave the guitar but Lucky mumbled something and next thing I know he was off fixing it. Got to watch and learned a whole lot. Highly recommend. I felt like I was in an episode of "How It's Made". What I thought would take days and $$$ took minutes and few shillings.
