Pedego Electric Bikes Frederick

Visited today using my GetOutPass and had a fantastic time. Everyone in the shop was so helpful and gave me great advice on where to go and how to make the most out of my e-bike. I was pleasantly surprised how much fun the e-bike was! It is a great way to spend the day or just an hour. Highly recommend.

My husband and I decided to rent e-bikes from here to spend a day in Frederick. Make sure to call them for a reservation to make sure they will have bikes in your size available, and arrive earlier especially if you've never ridden an e-bike.

Mimi took care of us from when we walked in. We signed the papers, paid, got our helmets before she showed us to our bikes. She was even so kind to offer water to bring along, and the restroom before you leave. If you're new to the area, she'll also provide a paper map with a good route and explain it in detail for you. Lastly, she explained how to actually use the bikes in detail before sending you off.

The initial start can be scary, but we quickly got use to our bikes and was able to enjoy the route. We traveled mostly on multi use trails and sometimes in the streets in the slower residential areas. Even if you miss the map, it's really hard to get lost in Frederick, especially if you have a phone.

The bikes had a bell, mirror, speedometer, small screen, and a front attachable bag for water bottles and other things you carry around. The helmet was so comfortable and hardly noticable, which is great since we both wear glasses. The bikes worked perfectly as expected and you can tell that they are nice and well maintained.

We had an amazing time on the bikes exploring the non busy areas of Frederick. Whenever we come back, we'd definitely consider renting a bike again from Mimi for more fun.

The Fall in love with Frederick tour with MiMi was a fabulous birthday activity/gift. Our group of 4 had a blast, we ranged from haven’t ridden a bike in years(me) to experienced electric bikers—Mimi took the time to reassure and teach us how to use the bikes. The tour itself was fun, we got to see a lot of downtown Frederick and MiMi is very knowledgeable on Frederick’s history. Looking forward to renting bikes again from Pedego, thinking it could be a great date night option!

I made three visits to Pedego in Frederick. My first visit was to learn about e bikes in general. Mimi took her time and explained all of the different types and helped me decide which one makes the best sense for me. My second visit was with my husband. We rented bikes and a bike rack and took them to the C and O Canal and around Brunswick to try them out. Cameron (amazing bike mechanic) and Mimi (owner) both helped us find the right size and type of bike for the rental. They taught us how to take it on and off the bike rack correctly, as well as the details needed to ride an e bike since we were novices.

From that moment forward I was hooked! Knowing that I was definitely going to buy an e bike, I researched some more online, checked reviews and went to a competitor of Pedego to do another test ride. The bikes were comparable in price. The third visit back to Pedego was to get a few more questions answered and to buy my bike. Mimi took her time again to help me purchase what best fits my needs. (She also deducted the cost of my previous rental since I was buying a bike. If my husband decides he wants to go ahead with one and it is within a month, we will get a multi bike discount.)

I purchased a bike rack that was supposed to be delivered to their store next week. She knew how excited I was to ride and disappointed that I had to wait. Mimi delivered my bicycle to my house yesterday after her work day! She spent about 30 minutes in my driveway going over more details. That is truly above and beyond. My whole experience with Frederick Pedego has been exceptional! With their 5 year warranty on everything and with their 5 year theft protection program (with purchase of a lock) I am all set and so happy!!!

Rented e-bikes to explore around Frederick. This seemed to be the only e-bike rental shop in town, and Mimi was awesome! She set us up quickly, and provided excellent advice regarding the sights to see and how to get there safely. Overall, a really fun experience!

Mimi spent so much time with us and really educated us on Pedego.
It is a 5 star location and company.

I recently needed help replacing a tube in my back tire on my e-bike. After contacting several local bike shops,Pedego was the only one that was willing to help me out.
They were able to get me scheduled and repair my bike.
Mimi was wonderful to work with. Overall great customer service and satisfaction. I will be returning for future maintenance.

Wife and I wanted to find something outside of Washington, DC that would entertain us and give us an opportunity to see some scenery of the countryside. Mimi and Todd were extremely helpful, guided us to the e-bikes from Pedego and where to launch from to enjoy some great outdoors. Had a great time being on those bikes for three hours knowing we had the Pedego ready to handle some of the tougher terrain for us :)

My husband and I did a date night and rented e-bikes and it was the best experience ever! Mimi took great care of us and made the process fun! Would definitely recommend renting bikes and heading out!

My husband and I spent just one day exploring Frederick, and renting an e-bike from this shop (we had another one with us) made it a perfect experience! Paxton and Mimi were so welcoming and helpful; they made sure the bike was properly fitted, explained how to use it (easy!), gave us a map of the area, and suggested routes that are safe and interesting on a bike. The price was very reasonable too. We toured the cemetery where Francis Scott Key is buried, and then biked up and down the beautiful long park and trail along the river/canal. The shop is just two blocks from the historic city center and the trail. If you're planning a visit to Frederick, consider renting e-bikes here, you won't regret it!

My partner and I took an ebike tour of Frederick with Paxton and had a FANTASTIC time. I cannot recommend them highly enough! No worries if you’ve never ridden an ebike before—not only are they pretty intuitive/user friendly, you also get a lot of opportunity and help to figure them out. The tour itself is just long enough to be fun but not tiring, and you see/learn a lot. Big thank you to Mimi/Paxton and every other staff member for being so friendly and helpful. 11/10!

I purchased an ebike from Mimi at Pedego Frederick but had to cancel. The policy stated no refunds on bikes and locks. Nevertheless, Mimi fully refunded me and was so understanding. If you're looking for an ebike, shop local and shop at Frederick Pedego. Not only are their ebikes solid but so is their customer service . I will be back.

My experience with Pedego Frederick was top notch. I went in looking for some information, and Mimi was extremely generous with her time to help me understand the bikes and answered all my questions (no matter how basic). She even let me try one of the bikes and helped me feel comfortable even though it was my first time on an electric bike. When I decided I was ready to make a purchase, she was so helpful and supportive as I decided what I wanted. On pick-up day, she made sure I understood my new bike, again answered all my questions, and ensured I had everything I needed. Knowing that she is there if I have any future questions and to help maintain the bike gives me so much peace of mind. I’ve had the bike for a week and I love it more than I even thought I would.

We rented 2 bikes to see the monuments in DC and get some time on the C&O Canal. (Side note - Labor Day was a great time to do this as DC was very quiet due to the holiday weekend!). We’ve rented e-bikes before in other cities, but these were much nicer. The owner, Mimi, was super helpful and informative. My friends bought e bikes from her a couple years ago, and we got to borrow their Sena Bluetooth helmets, where we can talk to each other up to a good distance apart while biking. Game changer while cycling for us - 100%. These helmets are sold here as well. Go check them out in Frederick, Maryland.

Visiting some friends with e-bikes and rented two more for our adult kids and rode down the canal. Had a great time time and the bikes are great. Thinking about buying our own now. The staff was so nice in helping us out. This is one of our best experiences learning about them and renting e-bikes. If you are thinking about renting or buying e-bikes, I suggest you go to Pedego in Frederick and visit them.

The Pedego e-Bike City Tour, 90 minutes long, was a perfect way for my friend and I to learn about the city of Frederick quickly. Both Pedego and the Tour Guide provided instruction on the e-bikes since both of us were new to e-Bikes. Mimi and the staff are great and very helpful. Don our tour guide did a great job sharing his knowledge of the city and making sure we rode in safe areas away from heavy traffic. The tour also provided us with the lay of the land for the remainder of our visit.
We would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who wants to learn about Frederick when they are visiting and even if you are a local. There is a lot to learn about this community.

We had an EXCELLENT experience renting ebikes at Pedego in Frederick. We are planning a week-long trip on e-bikes later this spring in Spain, so came here to get an initial introduction since none of us had ridden one before. Mimi was wonderful and not only set us up for the local rental, but also helped talk us through the differences we'd need to be ready for on our longer trip. Can't say enough good things!
