Rachel Eve pottery

My daughter with her boyfriend booked a session for three of us for my birthday. We had so much fun! I had no expectation, that was my first time doing pottery and I was able to make 2 bowls! I was so happy! Rachel explanations were very clear, the place is very well organized. It was a great experience! Highly recommend!!!

My grandson and granddaughter, Taylor 13 and Sammy 10, visited with us for a week this August. It was challenging to find activities they would both enjoy. My husband suggested pottery on the wheel and I set up an hour class for both at Rachel Eve Pottery. They had a fabulous time. Rachel is an incredible teacher. Her instructions were detailed but clear. She interacted differently with Taylor than with Sammy. She made Taylor laugh even when his clay was collapsing and made Sammy feel confident. They each created two pieces of pottery. They have returned to NY and have been begging mom and dad to find pottery classes in their area. Just on a final note, I knew Sammy would enjoy the pottery experience but I was doubtful about Taylor. To my surprise he loved it and I know why.....RACHEL MADE IT FUN!

I have been interested in taking a pottery class for a while and decided now was the time! Rachel Eve Pottery is local, professional, and the class was super fun! Rachel is so personable, friendly, patient, and a natural teacher! You can move at your own pace and comfort level. Being a beginner I learned a lot about the basics of pottery and surprised myself with the pieces I made! I definitely look forward to returning!

Rachel is currently working with my 12-year-old, and she says that Rachel is really nice, really knows about pottery, and is helping her improve her technique. Scheduling sessions is easy, and we love the one-to-one lessons. My daughter is learning at her level and is able to move at her own pace. Rachel was recommended to us by an art teacher friend and I’m glad we found her!

Thank you for making pottery easy. Art is not my forte, Rachel intimate style makes it easy to grasp concept, learn fast and continue the will to do better. The atmosphere is clean and inviting. Thank you for being a great teacher.

My daughter and I have never done pottery before. Rachel was so patient, helpful and a good teacher. We were thrilled to create fun pieces. We had a wonderful girls day! I would highly recommend if anyone is looking for a fun way to spend their afternoon.

I signed up for a 2 person session with Rachel with my partner helen. Helen and i are complete beginners, never having touched clay or a pottery wheel in our lives. Rachel was super helpful, patient, and welcoming. It was a joy learning a new skill with Rachel helping and guiding and sharing tips and tricks from her decades of experience. We will definitely be back in the future for more pottery sessions with Rachel!

Rachel is an excellent pottery teacher! She is very informative and patient! As an adult trying pottery for the first time, I learned so much. Her hands on style is helpful so you can get the ‘feel’ of things. Rachel also helped me saved some failed attempts so I accomplished something during my lesson vs a lump of clay!

Rachel Eve Pottery is a neighborhood gem. Rachel is a natural educator and it’s clear she loves what she does. Her knowledge, outgoing personality and patience is why I continue to show up for pottery class. I’ve learned so much about the art, the materials and equipment needed to create artistic pieces. This new found pastime has allowed me to detach from the world and allow my artistic expression to flow freely in a therapeutic setting.

This was a great experience. Most places only let you paint the clay but here you get to craft your own vessel on the wheel and she's excellent at explaining the process if you've never created any pottery. Loved it and would definitely make this a group activity!
