Dr. Higa is awesome! He’s been great with our special needs son and our son has even overcome his extreme fear of going to the dentist which has been such a blessing for him and us. We are so grateful that our son now is able to get his teeth cleaned and checked without any issues 😊🙏

I broke off a pretty large chunk of one of my middle front teeth. I was able to get in the next day and Dr. Schaffner repaired it very quickly. It's amazing, you can't tell the tooth was ever damaged.

Was having a toothache issue. Called them on Monday. They got me in on Tuesday. Super friendly staff. Great dentist. My dentist in SF had mentioned I had 3 teeth with issues. Dr. Schaffer said there was only on item we need to watch. Saved me $$$ not needing 2 unneeded crowns.

I love this dental office. I recently lost a crown that another dental office put in. Dr Shaffner saw me on the same day that I called. He is so kind, gentle and considerate. He filed and polished my existing crown and recemented it. He kindly dried the area with a cotton swab so that he would not blast cold air on the uncovered tooth. I didn’t even need the area frozen. Also his hygienist is amazing. My husband and I have been patients of the Rancho Mirage office for many years. We have always been treated well by the friendly and professional staff. It is almost a delight to visit this dental office.

My daughter and I love our dental experience at Hospitality Dental. Everyone is friendly from the front desk to the hygienists to the dentists. They have brought my daughter a long way from her old days of anxiety and fear of the dentist!

They don’t pressure you or upsell, but they keep you well-informed of your dental health and give you fair warning about what may be coming around the corner, including prevention and timelines.

I searched for quite awhile for a Dentist when moving to the area. I am so happy to have Hospitality Dental as my preferred choice! They are the best and most of all never tried to sell me on procedures I DID NOT NEED. Other than a dentist I had visited before them. I have always taken very good care of my teeth and gums. Never had issues with either!

I have been coming here since I moved to the desert in 2019, originally recommended by my boss. They’ve always done a great job. My dental needs are usually confined to just routine cleaning and X-rays with an occasional filling replaced. They do a great job of everything and their back office is on-point and efficient too. I would definitely recommend them. And I have.

As a new patient they were very accommodating when scheduling my appointment for timeliness and later in the day. Every staff member was kind and courteous. Dr. Higa had a very positive and professional disposition. He spoke of the positive parts of my teeth then mentioning the concerns to watch.

I have been going to Hospitality dental for years. I always get treated with a friendly smile and kindness. They are very professional and my dentist is great, he always lets me know what he is going to do and how it may feel. My parents recently move in with me and I recommend them to go to hospitality a ff they love them as well. Keep up the fabulous work you do!!

Wonderful experience at Hospitality Dental! I called in early morning on a Friday with a horrible tooth ache that was needing immediate attention. The team at Hospitality got me in THAT MORNING, and knowing I was in pain, immediately gave me Novocain to get me out of the discomfort I was in. From my first call with the team I knew I was going to be in good hands. They were professional, kind, compassionate, and it was obvious their goal was to get me out of pain and find a cost effective solution. They were transparent and gave me options with detailed explanations of what each option would entail. I’ve had a horrible few years in the desert with dentists. It seems that lately they act like used car salesmen. I’m so happy that was not at all my experience with hospitality Dental. I’ve found my new dentist!

Honestly, if I had this dental team with this dentist I would be happy to go to the dentist. They all made it very easy. They have a process and it’s fantastic. Doc examined me, told me what was wrong and explained in detail WHY he was doing what he thought should be done and the best part is, then he got to work. I waited 10 mins for the estimate and the money lady to check my insurance and then right away took me to the back and started working. If you’re putting off the dentist, you don’t need to anymore! Go here. That was my first appointment . My second is tomorrow. I’m posting because I hated my previous experiences with all this.

I was really happy with the staff !! They were sweet and kind! Dr Higa was really nice and he informed about everything he was doing and what to expect. He was able to get me in very quickly for my procedures which was much appreciated!! I highly recommend this Dentist office. Also I was very impressed with how sparkling clean everything was. Parking was easy too!!

First visit to practice today. Reception staff was friendly and efficient. Wait time in reception, even including completion of new patient paperwork, was longer than anticipated. Apparently there were a couple of emergencies this morning. Dental assistant, Diana, we took the X-rays and was appropriately engaging. My exam and cleaning were performed by Dr. G. I liked him at first contact. We was friendly and explained what he saw on X-rays and in the exam. The fees charged were reasonable. I was made to feel comfortable during the visit and based on this first experience have found a new dental home in the desert.

My visit was due to a broken tooth.

The office fit me in for an evaluation of my condition and developed an action plan quickly.

The team was able to let me take advantage of a cancellation sooner than the planned appointment. Once there, the procedure was explained and executed efficiently.

The Dentist and the staff was mindful of my nervousness with the procedure and was very accommodating when I need a second to relax and go to my ‘happy spot in my mind’.

I’ve been with the Rancho Mirage office ever since my move to the desert five years ago. This experience has only reinforced that decision.

First visit to Hospitality Dental and everyone was fantastic. Professional and very friendly. We are new to the area and wanted to get started with a new dentists and Dr. Higa was fantastic. So glad we found him. We've already scheduled our next visit for a cleaning in January.

Dr.s Higa and Shaffner are the best dentists ever. Honest, skilled, perfect in every way. Lily the hygienist does the best job ever.
The rest of his staff (I worked with sweet Harlow at a different job!) is amazing too, I'm so grateful I found them and wouldn't dream of going to anyone else!!! Feels like family when you are there. I LOVE everything about this fantastic dental group!

The Staff and Dr. Schaffner were absolutely amazing. Made an appointment online and they were able to see me almost immediately. I wasn't happy with my previous dentist so I decided to look elsewhere and I am so happy I did!! From the moment you walk in, to the moment you walk out , their customer service is amazing. I have finally found a dental group I like. Thank you for making my dental experience so easy and painless :) Will definitely be returning and referring!!!

There have been staff changes here in the past few years and I personally really miss Margie. She knew each person's name (or at least mine) by heart. Checking in used to just take wave or eye contact. That said, I've always loved this office from the day I discovered it... There are no loud kids running around, appointments are usually on time (10 min grace period), great hygienist and even beer dentists, especially the new DDS from Loma Linda (he's super approachable & personable).

There was one I lived out of state for a year and I still flew back just to come to this office. That's how highly I think of the dentists & team here.

I called with emergent tooth pain and the front desk were very nice and supportive and I was able to get an appointment for the first thing the next day! The new DDS Dr. Higa was very patient and kind and was able to do my root canal to solve my tooth pain and create a realistic plan of attack moving forward. I've had bad experiences with dentist in the valley in the past, and I hit the home run with Dr. Higa! Thank you for all that you did for me, I look forward to coming to your office for my future appointments!
