Deciding to attend Koryo Do has been one of the best decisions I could have ever made. I've been coming since the start of 2023 and have loved every minute of it. Along the way I have grown not only as a martial artist but also as a person. The classes and testing are varied and challenging, and you have to put in the effort to improve. Nothing is given here; everything is earned. The good thing about that is that everyone else who is there, instructors and other students, wants to see everyone else improve too. Everyone is welcoming and friendly and encouraged to be the best they can be. Koryo Do is the best place to learn how to be a better martial artist and a better you overall.

Koryo Do Martial Arts Studio is exactly what we were looking for. All of the instructors and even the other classmates are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. You can tell that they really want to see the growth and success of their students. Highly recommended.

I’ve been attending classes at Koryo Do for about 6 months now. They have a wide range of classes available to cater to everyone! I attend the Valkyrie class, which is a good blend of working out and women’s self defense classes. I definitely feel more confident in myself in day to day life. I love the family atmosphere of this place. It’s definitely a safe space! All of the instructors are focused on helping students be the best they can be.

Koryo Do has to be one of the most unique martial arts schools I've ever had the honor of stepping foot in. The expectations are clearly set and each class is taught with consistency and quality at the forefront. Very few martial arts schools in the area put so much focus into the proficiency of techniques and self defense as I've witnessed here. And the Teacher/Student/Parent relationships developed at Koryo Do feel like the kind of community anyone can feel welcome to be apart of. Not enough can be said about the amazing work and care that has been put in over the years to make this Tae Kwon Do school a staple in the Saint Augustine Community.

Koryo Do is a dojo where you can feel safe, a place that will make you feel safer in the real world. With great knowledgeable wise instructors, there is an amazing number of unique life lessons, techniques, critical thinking, self-defense and fun. Lessons that are worth to personally write down in a journal. Following the art of Taekwondo, you are being taught by the absolute best. Everybody treats one another with respect and genuine care within one another. It is not a church where everybody is personal with each other, nor is it a stranger-filled place… It is just the right amount of privacy, and closeness within one another, like a family. In other words, it is fun and professional at the same time. There are super enjoyable events. Your achievements are admired and kept. This place is honest, with nothing being sugar-coated. There are “easy”, yet complicated critical thinking mind games that I admire. You genuinely have to think outside the box about some of the things that you learn within the dojo. I know it will only make me better. Furthermore, it is worth mentioning that it would certainly be even more fabulous, if more people my age were in this school; (I am 16 years old). By going to Koryo Do Taekwondo school of Saint Augustine, you’re receiving discipline, self-defense techniques, intelligence, mental skills, socialization, great events, stoicism, careness, friendship, and most importantly, fun & wiseness. I have been in the Valkyrie trading class since late January/ early February and have loved every class I have been too! It has helped me gain my confidence back while helping me physically strength my mind and body! And of course swords ⚔!

I have been attending classes since October 2021. I did the free class trial with a friend that invited me and fell in love with the friendly atmosphere. I immediately felt welcomed into the Koryodo family. I've enjoyed learning from Master Jose and occasionally the Grandmaster. Master Jose makes each class a little different which keeps you on your toes!! I have only been attending classes a short time, but I feel I've already built a great foundation of knowledge to build upon further. If you have never taken a martial arts class and are intimidated by the idea of joining, I HIGHLY recommend this dojo!!!

I am so thankful to have found the Koryo Do school. Grandmaster Jose is a wonderful teacher who cares so much about his students and offers a well rounded martial arts education. He has cultivated such a positive environment to learn self-defense. The other teachers and students are all so friendly and welcoming too. Everyone there goes out of their way to help and support each other. Classes are so fun and such a great workout! Every class is different so it’s never boring. The Dojo is clean and very well equipped. I have taken karate classes, as well as cane self-defense classes. The cane classes are badass! We get to work with so many different weapons to get realistic practice defending against an attacker. I can’t speak highly enough of Koryo Do School of Tae Kwon Do.

Koryo Do School of Taekwondo not only offers good physical fitness, but it also teaches self-confidence, respect, and responsibility. The testing is intense, but each belt level you achieve is worth hardwork, perseverance, and determination. It's also fun and family-oriented environment. Joining this team of wonderful people is one of the best decision I made for my teenage son and myself.

I’ve been going to koryo do for about three and a half years now. It’s honestly a great place to not only learn martial arts but things like respect. Which I feel like is lacking in the upcoming generations. And Koryo do is not a “belt factory” meaning they don’t just give you a belt. You have to work hard and earn it, growing your determination and confidence. And learning how to do things you never thought you could do. They have a great atmosphere to practice in where safety always comes first while doing some of the most realistic drills you will see. And it’s a fun way to get a really good workout in.

I attended my first class at Koryo Do six years ago at the age of 50 and have rarely missed a class since then. Grandmaster Delgado and Master Jose are both gifted instructors and gifted martial artists. Every student, regardless of age or physical ability, receives instruction tailored to their specific needs and is made to feel to feel like they are part of a family. Koryo Do has really become like a second home for me.

Grandmaster Delgado has developed a style of Taekwondo that is much more fluid than what most schools teach. This can make a big difference for someone like me in their mid-fifties (and not super flexible) in terms of wear and tear on joints and potential injury.

Becoming part of the Koryo Do family has become an important part of my life in so many ways. My flexibility and fitness has improved greatly, I’ve made lifelong friends, and have learned martial and life skills that enhance my life daily.

I highly recommend Koryo Do. You will get so much more out of it than you ever imagined.

I receive a great workout every class and see progress not only physically, but mentally as well. My fellow classmates are also so amazing. I have been attending Koryo Do for around 4 years now, and it has really made a huge impact on the person I am today. Not only has this school made me a better person physically, it has helped mentally as well. The realistic self defense training that I have received at this school has made me physically fit but also a much more confident person outside. Before I started taking classes, I was extremely shy and scared to speak in front of anyone. Master Jose Delgado has made me not afraid to speak up when needed, and it shows to other people as well. I would recommend this school to just about anyone, because while it is a challenge, in the end it is completely worth every effort you put into it because I'm sure you will not be able to find a school that is more of a family then we are.

Since joining Koryo Do my son has thrived! They promote responsibility, ownership and accountability for his learning. It is a great place to be!
