Riverbank Kayaking

From start to finish the service and activity you get for the money is excellent.
Family owned and they care about the people that are on the river.
Great value and fun!

It's only charged if taken out on vine side but you can pass through any state water way with the right equipment and licensing they can not charge unless you get out of the water

Had a blast. Very nice people and the prices are fair.
The river is clear and mostly shallow by summer's end. Saw deer, king fishers, Blue and night herons and an eagle.
About 2 hours to Veteran's Drive, 4 hours to 3 mile bridge.
They did all the work launching and loading. Liked the old town kayaks we rented. Very stable with room for a little gear. 6 year old sat in front of me.

Friendly Staff, eager too see what they have in store for the river and location.

The initial check-in and launch process was very disorganized and frustrating. The water was very shallow in many places; I walked dragging my kayak half as much I rode in it!

During my visit in mid-June, there were many other guests kayaking, and not a few guests who had rented tubes to have floating drinking parties. It was too crowded for my taste.

The landing point is not intuitive, and it is rather difficult to leave the river at that point.

The staff are friendly enough, though, and the equipment and shuttle vehicles are well-maintained.

I would not really recommend this location to other kayakers.

Private boaters need to find a new put in/take out or they will charge you 5 dollars (per boat) to cross their private property. Was not well posted that this has changed to private property.

Had a terrible time kayaking today. 95% of the river was super shallow, 6 inches to a foot max, which is even pushing it. Also too many rocks and tree branches/stumps to navigate around. I know, you can't control the river. But, at least close like other places when the river is too high or too low.
