Idyllcreek A- Frame Vacation Cabin

Love love love this place! It was perfect for what we needed. We wanted a cabin staycation with a view & we found it here. The environment was beautiful & we were lucky enough to experience snow falling. It was gorgeous. The cabin is cozy & had everything we needed. We stayed in most of the time due to the rain & snow. Cooking was easy & we felt right at home. There were so many details that we really enjoyed, like glasses stored in the freezer to enjoy with our cold beers & the convenient wood access available for an additional cost. Everything was clean & easy to find. The host & co-host were amazing. Starting with house manual, it was very detail & helpful. It came with several recommendations however I was able to message Erin about additional recommendations. Kelly & Erin checked in on us which was great and made us feel so welcomed & prepared for our trip. The cabin is so close to town it made going for pizza and last minute grocery run a breeze. I highly recommend.

A few friends and I stayed at Idyllcreek for a night and it was the perfect getaway. We all made dinner, hangout and played the guitar they provided by the fire and hopped into the hot tub both in the evening and right when we woke up. It was a wonderful and relaxing stay. Best of all they are pet friendly so we were able to bring our corgi.

Cute and so much fun. Really a home away from home in the mountains. The cabin is cozy and comes with all you may need to have a fun night in or head out to the town. I was recently hosted out here in April, and as a lover of the mountains AND a photographer, had major A-Frame envy and love. Awesome location (10-min walk to town), serene, and clutch cabin amenities, like the fire place, and especially the hot tub. A great launching off spot for hiking the area and having a chill, cozy spot to come back to.

I stayed at the A-frame cabin with my boyfriend, our pug, and another couple, and we all had a phenomenal time. The cabin is so charming and unique and its setting in the woods is incredibly relaxing. We very much enjoyed the hot tub and wood-burning fireplace. We were happy to spend most of the weekend relaxing on the deck, but the shops and restaurants in town are a short walk away. Kelly is a very welcoming and communicative host. We can't wait for our next visit!

Incredible A-frame cabin located in an awesome little town! The cabin is nestled in the mountains, but still close enough to city center (<5 minute drive). Great experience that I would highly recommend. A great weekend getaway, anytime of year. We went late spring\early summer, so the weather was fantastic. Sunny days, and cozy nights by the fireplace. Very clean and quaint.

Gorgeous cabin with attentive hosts. There are some other cabins in somewhat close proximity, but we were fortunate in that it was very quiet and felt secluded during our extended weekend. It's a neat A-frame cabin from the 60s, with lots of personality and cosy decks in the front and back. I can't say enough positive things about the hospitable owners, as they responded promptly to any inquiry and offered everything they could to make our stay as pleasurable as possible. Recommend.

We stayed here for a weekend babymoon and loved it! We appreciated it being dog-friendly complete with water and food bowl provided. We have never vacationed with our dog before and that was really fun. The cabin is super cute, comfortable and clean. The shower is awesome and the bed was very comfortable. We loved walking into town and checking out Idyllwild. We hope to come back with friends. Thanks for a great place to stay!

In our short trip we had a lot a of fun right around the cabin and the town. It was an easy drive on the 243 to the County Nature Center which had great hiking trails where the kids had a blast scrambling up giant boulders.

We brought a cooler full of food but were surprised how well provisioned was the little market in town. They had plentiful organics and grain-fed meats, which is great because the cabin's kitchen and BBQ are super capable. A couple doors down from the market we found one of the best chocolatiers I've ever met. We'll be back.

While the giant A-frame is certainly picturesque, I hadn't expected it to be so functional. I had expected a rather cramped second story and was delighted to be wrong. As long as you can navigate a fairly compact spiral staircase you'll find the whole place really accessible. The two boys refused to share a bed so we managed to inflate the air mattress alongside the bed in their bedroom; amazing.

The Halbeisen's have paid a lot of attention to detail and it has really paid off in our enjoyment of the cabin; from the surprisingly easy-to-use electronic combo lock on the back door, to the laundry machines downstairs, to the well-written directions, etc. There was a pool cue, lovingly modified with a hook at the end, probably intended for ceiling lights. I used it to fish frisbees and rubber-band powered airplanes out of the brambles. I was very grateful for the pool cue.

I feel like the "great cabin" review would be putting it too mildly. I'm a single dad of 2 L.A. raised "beach boys" that had never had any cabin time. From the tree swing to the hot tub, Idyllcreek offered plenty to keep a 7 & 9 year old happy while allowing a 50 year old some relaxation. We'll be back!!

Highly recommend this charming cabin with gorgeous views. It has everything you need for a relaxing getaway, close to hiking trails and town or just stay in and enjoy the cabin and it's surroundings.

Great place, great caretakers, great experience. We stayed over the Memorial Day 2013 weekend. The caretakers were very proactive, from responding personally to my booking request to sending a quick text about arriving safely.

We will definitely return!

What can we say? We are in love with Idyllcreek Cabin! Being able to jump in the car and escape the heat with just a short drive, to be able to spend time away at Idyllcreek cabin was the perfect remedy for our family this summer! Not only did we love Idyllwild and the cool weather, but everything involved with staying at Idyllcreek was just what you want: professional, clean and organized. The cabin is adorable, the accommodations are great with the wi-fi internet (!), and we love the huge glass front and being able to rest on the sofa and see through the glass, all the way to the tops of the trees! What a great location, right there next to Strawberry Creek! Can't wait to go back!

Great spot to spend a few nights in Idyllwild. My wife, bulldog and I all enjoyed the peaceful and beautiful cabin.
