We were pleasantly surprised by this hidden gem in Jackson, Mississippi!!! Gumbo, sandwiches, and salads were all so generous and tasty. Our party of 7 raved about the meal we had. If we had one recommendation, it would be heartier napkins. Keep up the great work!

I ordered the gumbo, flatbread, and sweet tea. It was wonderful. The service was great, too. The ladies at the front recognized that I was looking for something to try and made suggestions as well as offered to let me taste the gumbo. The owner was at the front counter and introduced himself. The place is clean and neat and has plenty of seating right outside in the lobby as well as limited seating inside. It's a cafe that just happens to be located in a museum. It's definitely not what I expected in a very pleasant way. I'll be sure to go back and try everything.

I took a bite out of this before I decided to take a picture, but here it is.

I've gone back and tried the Ramen Noodle Bowl and Penne Pasta. They were both delicious, as well.

Holy cow! The shrimp and grits is phenomenal. I can't believe how good it is.

Beyond Delicious and fresh. I loved the Shrimp Vermicelli. It was a perfectly seasoned creamy shrimp pasta with the warm lightly toasted flatbread. The MS gumbo was delicious too; I ordered it to go. Definitely will return to eat these and try more of menu.

I just want to start by saying that I should have tried this place earlier. It is located inside the Two Mississippi Museum's. Service was absolutely phenomenal. The man servicing us was extremely kind and patient. He answered all of our questions as we decided on what to purchase. He even brought out items out to our tables as we waited.

Items tried:
SHRIMP VERMICELLI
Spinach, Tomatoes, Red Onions, Herbs, Gulf Shrimp, Cheddar Veloute Sauce, Served with Flatbread

*CHICKEN SALAD CROISSANT
Spinach, Tomatoes, Served with Café Chips

The food was amazing. The Chicken salad had a great taste to it and the soft flakey croissant paired perfectly. The meat in the chicken salad was also juicy. The cafe chips were thick, fresh, crunch, and seasoned well.

The Shrimp Vermicelli was everything! Creamy and Tasty! It came with delicious tasting flatbread. I actually could have had two more pieces of the yummy bread. This is one of those dishes where you have to purchase more than once. I'm looking forward to this tasty dish again!

I will definitely be returning to try more items!

I had the opportunity to visit the restaurant with my mother. The two ladies who were working that day greeted us with smiles, patiently answered our questions and made recommendations for menu items based on our preferences. All I can say is do yourself a favor and give the Mississippi Gumbo a try! The wonderful personalities in addition to the amazing food made our visit quite an experience! I can’t wait to go back!

This is the best part about visiting this museum. The staff is nice and the food is amazing! It's a small cafe, but I guarantee there is nothing on the menu that's less than phenomenal! If you come at the right time, you might get to meet Chef Nick! Very personable! Will laugh and chat with you about his culinary journey! The average cost is around $12-$14. There are some items that's a little less and some that are a little more. Don't forget to try his desserts! The coffee cake is a front runner for sure!!

My husband and I’s expectations were beyond exceeded. I never expected to eat the best salad of my life by mistake!! We didn’t even plan to eat lunch here but we were so hungry and it was close so we went in. I had the chicken salad and he got the shrimp and grits and we both were so satisfied. The dressing and pickles in the salad were delicious. 10/10

I remember learning about Nick while watching the Mississippi Center for Justice’s fundraiser video. I was soo amazed to see all the great things he was doing for Mississippi. He reminded me of my late father ( a professional chef) who was also from Mississippi. I didn’t remember where in Jackson Nick was located but knew I wanted to support him. While visiting the museum (for the first time) my family walked over to his restaurant and then that’s when it clicked …his logo, his name etc. I was soo happy I found his restaurant and ordered the grilled cheese with chips. I never tasted a grilled cheese sandwich soo rich and flavorful. It was soo fulfilling I kept stopping with amazement (because I love cheese) describing it to my husband who had the shrimp and grits that looked soo good. We got a chance to meet Nick and he seems so passionate about his cooking I just had to let him know about my meal. He’s so kind he even cut up an orange for our son and made these fancy slices that I still can’t mimic ..lol. Keep up the God given talent Nick, we shall return. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

This was a breath of fresh air with a cuisine to die for. I enjoy all three dishes we tried and loved the warmed up coffee cake, ad some espresso and I'm there everyday. Word up!
