Memorial Spring

This is a historic mineral spring that was used after the turn of the century. I believe it was known as Shonts Well #3 but had been capped off some decades ago. It was restored in the summer of 2019, an effort that took a couple years at least. This is a good cold mineral water, very lightly carbonated and low in mineral content. Very pleasant but curious taste. There's a specific note to it's flavor I've not tasted in any of the other local springs. Excellent water for those who don't care for the stronger tasting mineral springs. A short walk South of the Creekside Classroom parking lot, in the grassy area between the parking lot and the children's playground. Look for the three stone benches and the "birdbath" type fountain in the middle. Definitely worth a visit!
