Glass Bottom Rentals- Boca Grande

We had a great time with Michelle. She was so knowledgeable about the environment and ecosystem, we learned a lot as well as have a great kayak trip. Our older father-in-law was with us and he struggled a little keeping up. Michelle was kind enough to slow to his pace and she even towed him back home. She is kind and amazing. It was a nice place to go kayaking and had a great time. The sandbar is a nice place to hang out at. The scenery is great. There's lots of options to see wildlife like dolphins and manatees. I enjoyed my time. I'd definitely recommend reserving spots ahead of time to make sure they are there. The couple that owns the place is super nice and helpful.

The tour was excellent with a lot of good information shared and good examples pointed out along the way. Michelle was informative and entertaining, making marine biology accessible and interesting for those of us who haven’t formally studied.

We decided to use our last day of vacation out in the water with the clear kayaks and we are sure glad we did! We had a blast!

The experience alone of them being clear was incredible.

Aaron had some free time so he went along with my girlfriend and I as well as another couple. He took us out onto the sand bar that you see as you are driving out to Boca Grande. We walked around there while he made sure our kayaks didn't float away.

Then we followed him up and around the cove.

We got to see 1 dolphin swimming very close by but didn't see any sea creatures swim under us.

Aaron made the adventure great.
He knew the area well and was super friendly and let us go off on our own and explore and relax.

He was super laid back and we couldn't say enough about how much we enjoyed our little trip.

Can't wait to do it again someday and bring others to share the experience with!

Note: Aaron doesn't typically go out into the water with customers, he just happened to be able to that day. So if you want to go out by yourself, you definitely can.

Aaron & his team are phenomenal! Very accommodating and such a great experience! We were able to choose which kayak or paddle board we wanted. The area is absolutely breath taking. I'm a local and will definitely be coming back!

This was one of the best experiences I have ever had with the customer service industry. The staff is accommodating and strive to make your time in their care fun and memorable. The trip was self guided once we were on the water but they did have six fish lights set out in a large area to guide you. We saw tons of fish and even got in a school of bigger fish we could see with our phone lights. The weather was perfect and we were lucky enough to have a full moon. It is worth noting the bridge toll to get on the Island is six dollars. I will definitely be returning.

Was great; they made it quick and easy to get out on the water with a popular sandbar close to the launch. I took a picture as we left and a lot of people were showing up.

We had a great guided adventure. Michelle was very knowledgeable about the surroundings, pointing out many living creatures. We loved that she wanted to preserve living things. We would definitely do this again.

My 2nd time kayaking with them! Was definitely worth the $65 for 2 hrs! Employees were super friendly and even let you get a clear phone waterproof case to take pics while you are out! Highly recommend doing this at least once! It's sooooo... peaceful and relaxing!

Fun kayak and paddle boards. Beautiful scenery. Saw dolphins more than once, a manatee, many many birds, and thousands of fish. Would recommend.

Our family had an amazing time in the glass bottom kayaks! Although we couldn't see much through the bottom, we were able to enjoy Dolphins being within a few feet of our kayaks which made the entire experience worth it for us! The sand bar was beautiful as well!

The owners were super friendly. We have a small dog that we wanted to take out with us so I called ahead of time just to make sure it wouldn't be a problem. They were happy to have our pup come along (we have our own life jacket for her).

We only visit the area once a year but we will absolutely be repeat customers!

We were so looking forward to kayaking during our stay on Little Gasparilla Island, but the weather was not cooperating. Finally, the wind calmed for a day and we were able to rent 2 Kayaks from Glass Bottom Rentals. The owners were just great, super nice and told us all the best places to visit. They had our Kayaks already for us at the waters' edge when we got there.

The glass bottom kayaks are not like traditional kayaks, but they are easy to maneuver and glide effortlessly through the water. I'm a heavy guy and I've been in lesser kayaks that are not stable as a result of my size. These kayaks were stable enough that I did not feel the need for a life jacket. Always wear your life jacket!

If you are new to Kayaking, be aware that you will be sharing the water with boats of all sizes. We had a gorgeous day after 4 or 5 days of rough water and there were a lot of boats in the water. Although all the boaters we came upon were very respectful and slowed down when passing us, we have kayaked in similar areas where some boaters were not so courteous. If that happens, face your kayak towards the boat's wake until the waves pass you.

If we return the the area, we will certainly rent from Glass Bottom Rentals again.

Finding this place was better than hitting the lottery. My husband and I came to Boca Grande for an eco kayak trip. They were so knowledgeable and genuinely good people who loved their jobs and put in the hard work for their ecosystem and their guests. The owner is so accommodating, and the tour guide is incredibly educated and knowledgeable. We had such a great experience! We highly recommend this for families and anyone with pets. They even let us bring our pet skunk! We will definitely be coming back just do this again!!!

We had a great time on our tour with Michelle! We found a variety of fun living things to get a photo with and a few empty shells to take home. Very educational and informative. We were blessed with a gorgeous day to be on the water! Thank you Michelle!

A beautiful day on the water! The kayaking was fun, the day was calm on the intercoastal so paddling was not too hard. Our guide Michelle was awesome! Very knowledgeable and patient. I will definitely do this again!

Wonderful experience! We were able to see dolphins and one swam under our glass bottom kayak. Very kind and friendly owners/employees and well worth the price. I would high recommend. Such a great experience and memory.
