This place is cozy. We stayed the night up here a few weeks back after fresh snow and walked the shops. Ate some good food and met some real friendly people.

I’d recommend if you live in the surrounding area to stay here in the winter at least once in your life. It’s worth it.

Idyllwild was an Excellent little Town to visit for the day. Had some homemade pecan pie with some hot cocoa. People are really nice and friendly. We even got to meet Mayor Max of their hometown who happens to be a Handsome Golden Retriever! Lots of little mom n pop shops along with restaurants. Beautiful to see during winter time and thank goodness we didn't need snow chains. Happy safe travels everyone🙏

Great place to come and spend the day, or night, good food and drink. Have family visiting? Come visit, lots of history to know, meet the locals, friendly as can be.

We took off a day from vacationing in Palm Springs and visited Idyllwild. We were not disappointed at all. Its a very small town with a lovely rustic type of feel. Getting there is a lot of fun for motorcyclist (I was driving a car 😢), and for others who like twisty roads with lots of scenery especially if you are talking the slightly longer route (10 mins). Going through Banning then Idyllwild. Next time we visit, we plan on spending a day or two. I did reviews on Middle Ridge Winery and Brewpub which provide some reasons for wanting to stay over. Next time we plan on trying the Red Kettle and Idyology.

Five stars for the park itself - GORGEOUS sunset hike - zero stars for the camp host/gentleman with anger issues who stomped down from his RV to inform us that park hours are "dawn to dusk," and "YOU NEED TO LEAVE," as my boyfriend and I - in Idywilld for our anniversary - sat at a picnic table next to the parking lot. The park is a camp ground. The park is listed as 24 hours. I sincerely hope this VERY angry human doesn't hurt anyone. (He also disregarded the military/gold star park pass I had displayed on my dash, and left a note on my windshield requesting payment.)

Cute little park in the center of town. Some benches to chill on and can walk around to the shops. We went with the Christmas decorations and it was so pretty!!

I loved it at Idyllwild Park, and it is a great place to take your kids! The first time I went to Idyllwild was when I was 9, and I'll never forget it. All of the animal sculptures are so cool to see, but it was walking around the trails that truly made this place so memorable. While my Grandma and I were walking, we saw a Western Diamondback Rattlesnake curled up, sleeping next to the shade of some rocks. I was wearing a blue shirt with s yellow half sun/half moon on it, and a hummingbird flew right up to me, hovered about a foot in front of my shirt for a good 5-10 seconds, probably realized it wasn't a flower, and flew away. It was the coolest experience! I have never experienced anything like that ever again, anywhere. Such a magickal feeling place! Highly recommended destination to go to if you're in the area!

Wonderful little park to sit. Do note that it's private property but there's generally public access. You can park along the park and stop there but it's extremely small and takes about 30 seconds to walk from one end to the other. There's generally still lots of people here.

They have really done a great job with the town center park area. The annual tree lighting festival is a fantastic experience and you'd never know you weren't in the middle of Southern California with the small town vibes and cutest restaurants you'd find anywhere.
