After a 30 year run my GP retired and I was referred to Dr. Meli. I know he won't have me that long (I won't be here that long either) but I've been there a few times now and am very happy with the front desk & Dr. Meli himself. Personable, great communicator and seasoned enough to have seen it all and know what's going on. I recommend any friend go here.

Finally! A doctor who listens and anwers your questions. A doctor who takes the time to evaluate your concerns and helps find possible solutions and make recommendations.
A fine gentleman. A rare find.
Thank You.

I went to Dr. Meli for the first time today because my regular physician was not available. I found him to be very professional and knowledgeable. He took his time to explain what I needed to do and why he was prescribing the medication. I was very satisfied with my visit.

Went to Dr. Meli for a check up and he was not thorough what's so ever. Did not ask questions, and did not follow through with the normal checking your stomach, glands, etc. I went over the fact I had a genology testing done with not good results. He never acknowledged it, nor commented on how to be proactive. My daughter went to him for a physical. Insurance pays 100%. He charged for two visits. Because he refilled her anti inflammatory medication which she was on. So double dipping to the insurance company. I had recommended 2 people on the fact I liked him when he was covering for my GP. She retired, so I continued with him. Those two people said he was rude, and not thorough. They left, now my daughter and I will be looking for a new GP. Look elsewhere if your looking to put your life in someone's hands. Definitely not him

My mom just called me after an appointment with Dr. Meli. She has been waiting months to address serious medical concerns. She called me so upset, it broke my heart. Imagine waiting months to find out what thyroid disease you have, having a visibile goiter on your neck, and a long list of symptoms...only to be totally dismissed. These 1 star reviews are true. Maybe if you just need a check up, you could come here. But if you have anything actually wrong with you, do not come. This guy is a quack. When my mom asked, "Could I have Hashimotos disease or thyroid cancer?" his response was, "Could be!" No answers. Doesn't wanna see her for three months. It is actually disturbing. Stay away.

Worse doctors office stay away. I first came for severe persistent dry cough that lasted 6 weeks and I asked for blood work. He tells me I have allergies without even looking in my throat. Since he was my new doctor i wanted all blood work done to make sure im in good health. Half the codes sent to lab corp were put in wrong so i coukd only get a few tests done instead of all of them. During this coughing spell 3 weeks later i went back to see the doctor with symptoms of 2 to 3 fevers a day for 2 weeks, night sweats, rashes, loss of appetite, nausea, extreme weight loss, and body aches along with my cough and elevated liver enzymes. I wanted to be admitted to hospital and with the help of the doctor it is completely possible. The covering woman doctor was completly rude to me and ignored my concerns and says all I hear you saying is you have a cough and rash. Sounds like allergies. She said she wouldnt admit me and left to make an appointment for chest xray which I told her I had done already at the VA clinic. When she left I walked out angerly because I needed answers and for someone to take the fime in treating me and tsking my issue seriously. Also I couldn't deal with her rudeness and lack of bed side manor and I was in no shape to wait around. I went to jersey shore hospital on my own and was worried they wouldnt admit me but they did right away and I stayed there for 12 days with symptoms still persisting. My liver was critical my white blood cells were highly elevated and among tons of tests they finally did liver biopsy and found I had a serious viral infection which needed to be treated with antiviral medication. It is 3 weeks since I went to this terrible doctors office and im still recovering from my illness that they blew off and said it was allergies. I went back to get my copay of 10 dollars for lack of treatment and rude bedside manor and instead of doing the right thing one thing right they said I shouldn't have left the doctors office the exam wasnt done. When in fact it was done she said i have allergies im not sending you to hospital. She was rude didnt explain anything wouldn't let me talk and miss disgnosed me for what she thought was seasonal allergies. I dont care about the 10 dollar copay but they dont deserve a dollar from me. I now go to Our Family Practice in Brick rt 88 and they are amazing. No wait times and the doctor takes his time to listen and evaluate you properly! They have a 5 star rating for a reason. Dr Melis office is absolutely terrible please go somewhere else especially if you have a serious condition

Dr. Melis staff leave much to be desired. Three times during my patient time there went wrong. They take no accountability. Obamacare Dr. office at it's worst. And watch the way you are billed. They billed another member of my family in duplicate for services they were not even aware of. SMH

Too busy to see me when I'm sick.. Wow I thought that's where the doctor was 4.. Anyway they told me to go to immediate care.. lol,, That's fine I attained a new doctor today that will see me I will see me when needed...
I would advise not going to this institution not only are the reception it's hard to deal with,,,, But the level of care is very low.

The only star I’ll give is for the staff. Dr. Meli is just checking in and out. Runs a copay factory with no care for you or your ailments. If you get 5 min with him in a room you’re lucky. Stay away and go to a dr who actually cares.

Avoid at all cost, the absolute worst doctor anyone could see for anything.First and last time there at 40 bey lea road Toms River. Not helpful in anyway, does not care about you and has no knowledge for your health. Not nice and very arrogant. Beware and stay away, your better off going to a walk in place.

Horrible doctor and not friendly. Doctor was trying to treat me for something else other than the thing I went in for. The staff was nice but do not recommend doctor meli at all. One of my worst experiences.
