This parking location is a good starting point for several trails- Dunns Farm trail (pink), Pioneer trail (blue) and Crosscut trail (green). The first section of the Dunns farm trail winds through a pine forest with lush palmettos. Very scenic so take some photos along the way. This first section of the Dunns farm trail is flat and just under one mile until the next parking area. So if you only have a short amount of time or less energy this is a nice spot to turn around and go back from where you started. If you keep going it will take you over bridges, a lookout spot to view the smaller waterfall with hills along the way. It’s all very quiet and scenic. Leashed dogs will enjoy it too.

Dunn's Farm trail offers interesting variety (including a couple tiny waterfalls!) within a distance that is doable for young kids and beginning hikers. For a top-notch hiking experience, connect with the Pioneer Trail heading towards Powell's Ford. I have hiked many NE Florida trails and this is easily my favorite. If you're tired of hiking flat, 2-track roads going through swampy pine forests, this one will bring joy and a bit of a challenge to your hiking experience.

When you enter, you have the choice for .8 mi to pioneer trail or 2.7 mi for crosscut trail. I went along crosscut trail (can take 2 hours by walking fast) to the end and coming back to parking.
The end of crosscut trail reaches to Powell road. There is parking available to start there too. At this intersection, there's the ability to go to pioneer trail or other trails. I went to pioneer trail (additional 1.7? Miles), which requires fording btw and ended at North folk recreation area (where the fording is). I came back to Powell road then back to Nolan road where I walked fast and jogged sometimes. Took me about 3 hours total for about 8.8 miles ((2.7 miles + 1.7 miles) *2) for going back

I agree with most people's review. Good walk, I did about 7 miles. Mostly under shade, and very well marked. I went in Feb, on a cool day, so bugs were minimal. But, you do walk through a swamp with standing water, so I can imagine it gets bad when it's hot.

A very surprising and enjoyable trail for Florida. There are small waterfalls of clear spring water and some hills to add a bit of challenge. Several primimative camp sites are available. We added the. 5 mile additional trip on the Pioneer trail to visit a old and interesting grave yard. I recommend this hike, it is special.

Just an FYI, if you use the main Dunn's Farm entrance of off Longhorn Road you will have a 20+ min walk through a long pine forest before you get to the 'fun' part. You are much better suited to use the parking/trailhead off of Powell Road.

Very cool mix of trails and sites to see. Strange finding the place the views are worth the drive over there. I would definitely recommend any of the trails. None of them are hard but bring some water.

Very nice walking trails. Would suggest mosquito spray. At one point, I was being eaten alive. 😂 but have quite a few trails, some camping grounds, and some offroad trails somewhere in the area I believe.

As always this trail is the closest thing to hiking a "real" backpacking trail in NE Florida. Trail is very well maintained and a pleasure to be on.
