Lake Lotawana City Hall

A deer ate my iPhone here. For context, I was sitting on the backside of the building looking towards the lake. It was spectacular outside - I’m talking mid 70s, a light breeze, and a wonderful pastel blue sky. Long story short I decided to kick it back and put my hat over my eyes for a nice Sunday lazy-nap. However. Probably no more than 5 min into my doze session, I hear the cackling of what sounds like a combination of glass and plastic - breaking, squeaking, bending, and cracking. The noises were almost metronomic, a steady pace, tenacious and persistent. I decided that I was interested. I swiveled around to the sight of 2 large nostrils in a leather black nose, accompanied by 2 rows of blocky white teeth. It was a big ol deer. But this deer was different. This deer had the appetite for my iPhone! I immediately found out where the chomping noise was coming from. I watched as he nonchalantly chomped on my new iPhone 12 like a pita chip. Plastic glass and all. I remember thinking, ‘who raised him this way?’ Anyways. He ate my iPhone. I tried to get it back by asking nicely. But I guess this guy didn’t roll like that. He ran off - with my phone - around the building and into the nearby wooded area.
I just hopes that deer enjoyed my phone as much as I did.
