Boon Chu Thai Restaurant

This is the best Thai place in Pennsylvania! I came here after a long airplane ride and this is exactly what I needed after that. This restaurant is formally known as Thai spice and the staff and owner are so nice! The food is delicious and I decently recommend the yellow curry! It's so sweet and like no other. The pad Thai is so good and the rice is shaped to look super cute! I also definitely recommend the flower wontons with cream cheese! They are to die for!

I first got pho at this restaurant a couple weeks ago and was blown away. Amazing flavor, great portions, great price. I’ve ordered again and same amazing flavor. Highly recommend! Goes very well with sriracha 👨‍🍳

Really good food. I usually come here for the pho but wanted to try something different today. I had the house Salad which comes with fried tofu and a peanut dressing. Really good. I then got the sweet and sour shrimp. Very tasty.

The owner came out and made me feel so happy for him(he was so adorable but i don’t want to belittle him). He’s living his dream owning his own restaurant yes come support it!! The calamari salad is amazingggggg. The prices are so reasonable for the state of the economy a great spot 10/10.

We didn't eat in, but a group of us ordered takeout a few days ago and everything was wonderful!! I never had papaya salad before, and I am already craving another one. Also got the pineapple curry with togu...again, absolutely delicious and I'm still working on the leftovers. The other 5 people who ordered were also very pleased, and deemed this place their go-to for Thai food. Prices were fair for the portions! My only criticism is that none of our containers had any sort of label or writing, and it made for a little confusion figuring out what was what, especially since none of us are Thai cuisine experts. They did label a box "free" in marker to indicate some gifted dumplings, which was really sweet and appreciated.

Next time I'll try it medium because I like a little kick. But the flavor is INCREDIBLE.

And my wife is obsessed with papaya salad (very spicy) but you can customize the level of heat and she said they made it e-san style? Which is hard to find I guess? Will definitely be back.

I had chicken creamy Tom Yum soup and it was soooooo good!! I had many like many Tom Yum soup in my life. This one hits differently and it does hit the spot.

I also had the chicken Khao Soi. I had this curry back in Thailand and it tastes so much like it. Definitely recommend these two dishes. I'm coming back for other dishes for sure ☺. Everything tasted exactly like what I had in Thailand.

Ordered for delivery. I’m picky about my Pho, but this place is amazing! Do yourself a favor: order the pho, and a side of steamed vegetables. Add them together! So much food, tastes amazing! Crisp steamed veggies, amazing broth!

Great chicken pad thai for $15. Also had the house salad, and the dressing was delicious, obsessed.

This place has amazing food, The staff is wonderful in suggesting delicious food. Each bite is a new experience. I love this place. It is nice and quiet. A romantic night out or girls night out. It is BYOB, so something wonderful would pair nicely with the meals. Love the appetizers. Had the duck and curry. The way it comes out is just beautiful and the taste is divine. Ate before I got pictures.

My family and I went there in hopes of finding a new and good pho place near us. The pho was phenomenal, a bit too much onion I was able to put aside but other than that the food was great and fairly priced. My 2 year old son was with us and we got him Rice. The only thing I would of recommended was brightening up the place. It was kinda dark, and not romantic kinda atmosphere just to dark for a family dinner. I would recommend this place for a good spot to eat pho

Alright, alright, alright. Let's talk about Boon Chu Thai, folks. Now, I gotta admit, I wasn't sure what to expect. I mean, "Boon Chu"? Sounds like a cough drop a monk would give you. But let me tell you, this place packs a flavor punch that'll knock your crocs right off.

We're talking about legit Thai food here, people. Not that watered-down stuff you get at the strip mall place with the dancing elephants on the sign. This is the real deal. The kind of food that makes you sweat like you're auditioning for a role in the Spice Girls reunion tour.

And let's talk about the Massaman Curry. Oh man, this curry is like a hug from your grandma... if your grandma was a sassy Thai chef who wasn't afraid to crank up the heat. It's rich, it's creamy, it's got more flavor than a basket of those fancy fortune cookies you get at the dim sum place. One bite and I swear I saw a tiny Buddhist monk do a backflip off my taste bud.

Listen, if you're looking for bland food that won't offend your boring palate, this ain't your spot. But if you want an explosion of deliciousness that'll have you saying "Wat!?" (which, apparently, means "what" in Thai), then Boon Chu Thai is the place to be. Just don't wear anything white, you might sweat right through it. Trust me, that's a story you don't want to tell at Thanksgiving dinner. You'll be explaining the whole "Massaman Curry incident" to Aunt Linda for years.

Delicious thai food. We've had the spring rolls, masssaman curry, garlic pepper chicken and pinapple fried rice. The chicken is always tender without grizzle peices.

Best Thai food. All of the curries are great.

I’m happy to find a place in the area that has pho, I had shrimp pho and it was delicious! Also had the chicken lettuce rolls and they were great. Will definitely be back for more pho and to try other dishes

Don't let the sign fool you. New owners here. Food is 100% better than previous owners. Service was great. People very friendly. And, if you have previously gone in winter and had to eat in the cold, be advised the new owners fixed the heat. Definitely going back. Rich creamy curries. Excellent noodle dishes.

although I got take out. The food was hot and fresh and more than delicious once I got back to my dextination to devour every last drop of the appetizer platter & the Tom Kah Beef Soup. Added a last minute Thai Iced Tea to make the make the meal even more delicious. Will be a new regular all the way from Massachusettes while in the area. The family running it was most polite and gracious. thanks for my beautiful dinner.

Formally known as Thai Spice... excellent service, staff is very helpful and friendly. Food is delicious. We got yellow curry and the flavors are amazing, crunchy veggies, tofuu is savory, the presentation is very cool. Thai street basil dish is one of the best I have tried.

What a wonderful place with amazing food. We started with delicious steamed chicken dumplings. It was a generous portion of 7 dumplings that were just perfect in flavor and texture. For our main entrees we had beef with stir fried vegetables. Also a generous portion and a great sauce. Our second entree was Bangkok noodles with shrimp. The owner was very friendly and the service was great. We highly recommend this place. However, take note that the exterior sign still reads Thai Spice. They need a new sign. Apparently the new owners started this past January.

Last night, we had toothsome dinner. The services are commendable and I liked their hospitality. Luv to come back…
