Dr Sizer and her staff are amazing! Caring, gentle, sensitive but not of all knowledgeable, patient and thorough! We couldn't be more pleased with the care she has given Bandit. We are happy we switched and Bandit is a happier little guy as well! You are all appreciated more than you know!

WOW! That's all I can say! I've been in the area for over 12 years and have been struggling to find proper vet care in the area. My interaction with Haw River was positive from the start. They were able to get us seen within a reasonable time, and they TRULY care. The office even called to see how our pup was a couple of days after the appointment! Nothing like I've experienced before. If I could give 10 stars I would! NOTE: I hesitated giving such a great review for selfish reasons....I'm afraid that other people will realize what a fantastic place this is and they'll get too busy to see our pets! We have FINALLY found amazing vet care for our pets! Thank you!

As first time pet owners, my parter and I were very stressed about our 2 month old kitten having issues with his eye. Susan at the front desk was very kind and comforting while we figured out what we could do, she went out of her way to ensure that he could be seen that same day. Dr. Sizer was so reassuring while we played a game of 20 questions on kitten health, and her positive and upbeat demeanor didn't falter for a second as we expressed our fears and concerns. She went above and beyond to fit us in on her busy schedule, and we are so appreciative to her for that. Also, the vet technician Carolyn was very personable and friendly, she loved our little guy and it was nice to see that at any other visits we make, he will be taken care of with love and will be handled with gentleness. Thank you to the team at Haw River Animal Hospital for making this first-time visit as stress free as possible for both us and our fur baby!

Haw River quickly became our new favorite vet. Our poor pup had a relatively long term treatment process and the team at Haw River was amazing every single step of the way. They kept us informed, they explained everything in normal terms, always professional, and they were extremely pleasant with our dog - she loves coming in to see Dr Sizer and her entire crew! Carolyn and Bridget treated our dog with such care and helped make each visit a true treat. Our other dog has experienced a handful of odd things and they’ve squeezed us in for last second visits to make sure he’s okay too. I cannot thank the entire staff at Haw River enough for being so awesome! Highly highly recommend them

This is a wonderful veterinary practice. Dr Sizer was wonderful with both of my pets and really listened to my concerns. She was attentive, kind and thorough. She’s incredibly smart, knowledgeable and clearly cares about giving both the patient/pet and their caretaker a great experience during visits. The office was new and spotlessly clean. Susan was very welcoming and Carolyn was great with my kitties. Really happy I found this great practice. Don’t hesitate to book a visit. You will be in great hands.

Wonderful caring people. We went here because our current (now old) vet cancelled an appointment I had made days in advance. We had an elderly boxer (almost 14 yrs old) that was not doing well. We called Haw River Animal Hospital and they were able to get us in that day. The vet (Katie) was open and honest with us about our girls condition. They helped us to transition our beautiful girl to her next adventures. We liked them so much that we are now taking our other boxer and elderly (18 yr old) cat to them. We would highly recommend them to anyone. They have onsite labs for very quick turnarounds!

Dr. Sizer and her entire staff are WONDERFUL! They clearly love each pet as it was their own. We followed her from her previous vet hospital because we like and trust her THAT much and that hospital was GREAT too. Beautiful new facility. Easy to get in and out. She takes her time with your pet and does things right. Highly recommend!

We love Haw River Animal Hospital! Everyone is very friendly and welcoming and they really take the time to show that they care about you and your pet. I started going to Dr. Sizer when one of my cats was having a medical issue and I couldn’t figure out what was wrong. Haw River fit us in to their schedule almost right away and Dr. Sizer worked very hard to get him the right treatment, even spending a lot of time calling around to find a suitable specialist. Now I take all four of my pets there. So grateful for Dr. Sizer and all her staff!

Started coming here with my new fur baby because my previous clinic with my last was really overrun with cases. I felt that I had a better understanding of my dog’s health the vet did. Often charts weren’t updated and medication would be prescribed without through notes on how to give care. My first visit with my new puppy went really amazing I felt we talked through and came up with a plan for any concerns I had. I wasn’t rushed out the door. The place was incredibly clean and hygienic. Everyone was incredibly sweet and kind. It was a really amazing experience. I’m looking forward to my puppy looking forward to going to the vet.

It has been a long time since I have felt really pleased with a vet visit. From the time I entered to waking out the door I felt my girl Boston puppy had great care and I was heard. I am being very careful on what I am giving to my girl and Dr Sizer was open for discussion and respected my decisions. I was not rushed and my girl was so comfortable she wanted to give kisses to all.

My dog is a new patient and had her first appointment. All staff members where great with my dog and all attentive to what she needed in the moment (she was a bit nervous). Very happy with the care for my doggie.

Dr. Sizer and team are awesome at what they do! Dr. Sizer removed a lipoma from my Golden Doodle Daisy’s leg months ago and there is no trace surgery was performed and Daisy is doing great. Last week Dr. Sizer worked us in her schedule and extracted 4 teeth from Murphy my 3 yr old wild man cat. He is healing well and doing fantastic. Thank you Dr. Sizer! Dr. Sizer and team, Keep doing the awesome job that you do!

We love the folks at Haw River Animal Hospital! We brought our new puppy for his first appt and everyone was so kind (to him and us humans). I really appreciated how they took the time to talk through everything from different vaccination options to when to neuter- no pressure one way or the other, but a great overview of the evidence for different options.
I especially love that they do “happy visits” so that pups can have positive experiences at the vet! We took him for one already and dropped him off for 30 mins. He was a little nervous at first, but was all happy tail-wagging and playing when we picked him up! This will make his future visits so much less stressful for him!

Dr. Sizer and her staff were amazing with my aging Shetland Sheepdog. He was nervous, and is reactive. Dr. Sizer and staff worked to calm him, conducted his physical, administered his vaccines (even adding a numbing med to the injection site prior to the vaccine), and were able to trim his nails. I cannot say enough good things about this veterinarian and her practice. I love the direct exit to the parking lot, too.

Haw River Animal Hospital did a wonderful job spaying and vaccinating our newly adopted feral kitty! It’s only been 3 days, and she is doing well. Thank you for taking great care of her!

We just moved to the area and noticed our dog had an ear infection. After calling other local vets that wouldn’t take us, we found Haw River Animal Hospital. Not only did they squeeze us in the next day, but the entire staff were so kind and welcoming! We will definitely transfer all of our pets to their practice. The office is new, clean and beautiful, too.

Great vet for the fur babies! They were very quick to get us in, had very friendly staff, and did a great job in their care of our cat! I was so incredibly happy when I left Haw River Animal Hospital. My dog is extremely reactive, they completely understood. Everyone was SO kind and caring. I do not regret that I made the decision to change vets!!!!

Our dog was having an eye problem but his regular vet was booked and they suggested an urgent care in Chapel Hill. We were concerned, but didn't think it was serious enough for urgent care. Having just recently opened, we hoped maybe Haw River wasn't as busy and gave them a call. They were able to see him early the next morning. We were quite pleased with the attention and care that he got and would definitely recommend them.

Found issues with my cat that regular vet missed at cat's appt one week previously. Will continue to use Haw River as my primary vet going forward. Very clean facility, helpful staff and Oscar's needs were thoroughly assessed. Great experience for both of us. Update--- extraction for Oscar. Very much needed, very successful experience and SO glad I took him to Haw River because cracked tooth was overlooked by previous vet 2 weeks prior. Good follow-up by Dr, Sizer's team. Couldn't be happier with my new vet. Update for Oscar--very pleased with the care and attention given. Recommend to anyone with a fur friend. 10+
